Hi,
I”m just getting started with the NewsMag theme. I want to change the category of posts that show up in the top of the defaul demo. Where do I do that? The tagDV editor doesn’t seem to give me any options for modifying that section. Is there a video or tutorial that I can reference to learn to use this? Also, on some of the demo…the articles that are listed in the top section have a little title on them that says the category…how do I get those to show on the default demo? Thanks,

Only one demo can be installed at a time, choose the one you like and install it in the theme panel

You can install it with content, that would be easier

1. I’m developing the site on a local server (WAMP) so can’t provide a link at the moment. But generally if you create a new page, and add a row to it. Then give that row a background color, there’ll be space above and below the row. those are the spaces i would like to get rid of.
2. Cant provide a link because of the reason mentioned above. If you can create the social icons on a clean install, then you can give me the steps. I did not use any demo.

5. Additionally…I assume the footer of this website (tagdiv) was created using a page since I cant find any style that matches it. Is it possible to give me the code for the page?

For some reason I can only get 4 products to show on my shop page. This seems very odd and I haven’t figured it out yet. I’m a bit confused.

That’s beyond my knowledge man (I am just a community member like you). I hope @catalin-l can help. But if you want your site to look like the demo, then you need to import the exact demo from the Newspaper Theme Panel to your site.
Got an off topic questions. Any chance at some documentation of how how set up my woocommerce shop page to look like the following demo content.

They have sides connected at the top so even if you can’t click the sides, you can see the advert above the page.
If you install a demo without content then only theme panel settings and custom design will be imported.

I am having trouble editing a few parts of the “Craft Ideas” demo theme, which i am using as a basis for my blog site.

Specifically, The comment number speech bubbles are still yellow, using inspect source i can see that the color # is in .td.module.commands but ive no idea how to change this or where the CSS file even is.
Secondly the read more icon below each post, This blue i believe is a background image but again I can’t seem where to delete this so its just plain text.
Finally. In the sidebar is a “Dont miss” coloumn that isnt populating ive tried to select and delete this in TD composer, But i cant seem to select it, In fact i cant seem to select anything below the “Must Read” row of three icons in order to change the header backgrounds on those.

I did install the business demo but it didn’t create all the same blocks etc for the home page.
When you install a demo without the content should it create the blocks, rows and columns on the home page automatically?

I would like to change the color of the background of the area on top of the horizontal menu, just where the logo is so that it is similar to the footer. I would like this white area, not all the page, to be dark grey. Here is the link to the sample page I am referring.

You could simply install the Business demo (with content), this will add the demo homepage, theme panel settings and custom design

When viewing sub-menu, custom font for sub-menu & post title not working as main menu. I tried move a category sub-menu as a main-menu, it still not working, also.

I do not want to have users that can sign up for my online publication. How do I remove the “Sign in/Join” function for the TechNews demo which I have installed? I just want it to function like how the TechNews demo looks, but without the ability for the audience to sign up/sign in.

Indeed, your header ad on mobile seems to be incorrectly displayed but I do not know the cause of it, sorry! I saw that you are using a lot of untested plugins which can interact with the core files and causes a lot of unknown issues. Try to disable all of these, remove all of the additional customizations if you are using something like this, clear all the caches and check the results. Check our demo review on mobile and there you will see that the header and is centered as expected.

I believe this is somewhat of a misunderstanding. Indeed the default full big grid 8 is not similar to the gadgets demo grid. That is because the custom design the demo uses. Each demo has customization based on default theme elements, this is applied only when the demo is installed.
If you want big grid full 8 to look like in the demo, first select grid style 7 in it’s settings

Hello @michele-jolie , have you tried using Mobile Plugin provided with the theme? Indeed your page is blank on mobile phones. Apart from that, i assume you are already using
Apart from that, some basics you should try for your website:
1. Try installing a demo from theme panel, in your case, you should try Cooking demo- https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_recipes/ . Just have a look. You can find other demos here- https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/select_demo_newspaper .
2. Go for Free CDN by Cloudfare, that will boost speed of your website a lot and is pretty good.
3. Add SSL Certificate to your website, it will show users that your website is safe and again, is pretty neat.
4. Explore post types in theme, they are pretty good and worth exploring.

6. Basic plugins must get for WordPress- Akismet-anti spam, External Links, Jetpack, Regenerate thumbnails, WP Smush, Wp-Super Cache and Yoast ofcourse.

So you would like to not display featured images on that particular category page. Note there are a couple of modules that do not display thumbnails

You could select one of them for that category page, in the per category settings in the theme panel
