Hi. I’m new in wordpress.

In top page of Photography demo I have 5 random posts images.
I would have 3 static/fixed posts images, and 2 random post images but of only one determined category.
Can you help me? Thank you.

Hi… currently I use “Gadget” demo as my default theme setting.. but I want to use “Smart App” too. Can I Install other demos without losing my current setting?

Thank you

It is enough to copy the demo code for that specific block, but you also need to ad the custom class on the body in the custom code section. As each demo code is based on a specific body class . All the demo css starts with that body class. For the business demo the body class is td-business

Thank you!

If you want to have black on white, please remove the black demo and simply add a black background to your site and the main content will be kept as default black on white text.

Thank you!

Hi

you mentioned different sizes you are using in your demo:
On our demo we use 1021 x 640 px large Images here https://forum.tagdiv.com/image-size/
On our demo we use multiple sizes, most have around 1068 × 713 px. here https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-vs-featured-image-size/

So my question is: What is the best size?

I am planning to use post-template number 6 and block 23 and 4 on the start page

Cheers

Just for clarification, do I have to copy the entire stylesheet of the demo or just the css of the section of the demo whose style I want to copy?

The css code I posted above refers to only the block 15 style of the business demo that I want to copy. Is it enough or I have to use the whole business demo stylesheet?

Thanks.

Menu Icons - topic

Hello, I have installed the Animal demo and I noticed some beautiful menu icons (Home, Pets, Wild, Farm, Circus) that are called from the WP backend with a line of code such as this one “<i class=”td-icons-home td-icons-animals”></i>Home”.
Do you have a list of the icons that are available within the theme and how we can call them? I am actually interested in something that looks like a speech balloon.
Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Thanks for your response, but it does not help me.

Let me ask my question a different way: how can I add the first 4 blocks bellow the BIG GRID of this theme: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/ to my homepage of pavlikeni.com. Mind you, my site is using that same theme.

Thanks.

Hi,

This has nothing to do with the articles. Installing the demo without content will import theme panel settings and custom design. If you install only settings from a demo, the custom design will apply to the homepage for example only if the same elements are used (same blocks, grids etc, same header and footer styles).
The demo you are referring to uses these elements
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/big-grid-3/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/block-1/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/block-16/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/block-2/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/block-14/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/block-11/
If you use these elements in the page, then if the demo has design for them it will apply.
All this custom design can be seen here
https://www.screencast.com/t/XlkgWrGQ
The homepage content can be seen in the same folder
https://www.screencast.com/t/4FYgJISWwB
Hopefully this is useful to you.

Thanks

Hi,

we have the dark demo installed on our website. With the smooth configuration possibilities allowed by TD composer, we would like to invert colours only in some specific rows, for example using a white background.
Do you have a guide on where to insert custom CSS for that specific row so to override the font colour with a dark colour?

Thanks
J

Hi,

Unfortunately we do not have a customization department at the moment. Something like this will require modifications in the post template structure, and probably additional styling. The post templates design is predefined, and there are no options at the moment to customize them like that.
You could customize the template if you wish directly or in a child theme
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
The template files are located in the main theme folder, each post template has a single and loop-single file
https://www.screencast.com/t/in1kMoyP5tz
In these files the post structure can be seen. Custom code can be entered in the child theme or Theme panel->Custom code sections.
Please also take a look at the theme demos, all of them have custom design. Maybe one has a custom post design that you might like

Hello, I do not quite understand.i have thousands of articles. What do you mean my “content should be loaded to new demo installed”? Why does the new template simply not realign how things are displayed in the old vew to how things are displayed in the new theme?

Thanks

Bogdan B.

Hello,

As you can imagine, the bottom border is meant for text. Please check: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-22/
You removed the author and post date. That is why the overlay is empty.
You can either enable the meta info or use this code to remove the overlay:

.td_block_22 .td-module-meta-holder{
display:none;
}

Thank you!

Hello,

YOur content should be loaded to new demo installed because your data has been loaded into your database. After this demo has been installed, try to check each block from there and check the settings. Notice that some blocks are filtered after featured category and you may not have posted in that category and that’s why to appear nothing. Check it with more attention the theme layout.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

You could simply create two pages, a homepage and set that accordingly. Then create another page using the latest articles template. Set that in the menu for example as the blog page. This demo uses this solution
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_recipes/
The latest articles section can have a sidebar or not

Hi,

All the plugins are included in the theme package
https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/
As you extract the downloaded full theme package there will be a plugins folder containing all the bundled plugins
https://www.screencast.com/t/08K3cjH3M
Then install the Revolution slider
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-install-revolution-slider-v5/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-revolution-sliders-on-demos/
Please let us know if you have further questions or issues.

Thanks

Try tools.pingdom.com. Over there you can test your site for speed and other stuff.

After you test your site scroll down at the waterfall section (File requests) and view style.css file. Mine was 119kb in size. It also says that it’s gzipped. I use default demo template. Here’s a screenshot:

Hi,creb, many thanks for your reply, i sure know that, i once use the auto-optimize and fastest cache plugin to gzip the css and js and html file, so i can compress the css file from 1.1M to less than 900K, but i think it may still too big for the site, and i install the demo [helth&fitness], i visited the demo page, saw the transfer size only 87k, and the url is : https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_health/, and i download the demo css file, when i saved the code into a css file, the size was 800k+, but i use develop tools of chrome to see the css transfer size, yes, still only 87K, so i am crazy now, what can i do for that.

Please help me, i can give a account of my plesk panel and a account of my wordpress to see what happened there.

Hope your reply.

When i active the newspaper and visit the home page, i saw the style.css file transfer size more than 1M, and other elements display after the css file transfer completed (the home page was blank when the browser loading the style.css file), then i visit the demo page, found the css file transfer size just less than 100k, that made my site so slow, how can i change the way to load the style.css file.

By the way, i try the apache, apache+nginx(fast cgi),apache+nginx(fpm), and i use plesk being the vps panel.

Thanks a lot.

Hello,

Please keep in mind that the simplest way to achieve this is to install that demo from Theme panel, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-installing-demos/ Also, please notice that it’s too hard to customize your actual theme’s layout to look similar with the demo, sorry! This task involves doing such an additional customizations and notice that we cannot provide this kind of services at the moment, sorry!

Thanks for your understanding!

Not my theme. Comments are generally part of WordPress, not theme; theme may add CSS to add fancy style, but comments are “handled” by WordPress.

But check the demos to see what is there or what is not.

Hi,

It seems some insecure images are used. Please remove or replace the footer background set here
https://www.screencast.com/t/qsPvF3hXRJHH
Also the header ad replace the image or remove it (or remove the demo ad code entirely)
https://www.screencast.com/t/h0zwxnmXFCm
Then check if everything is fine, the problem should be solved.

Thanks
