I have the Craft Theme demo installed, but am using it for a baby product review site (cutebabyantreviews.com). I liked the category icons idea, but would like to change them to different ones. Could you please help me?
I’m customizing my theme, starting on the default template.
But now I would like that both the Top Menu and the Main Menu have the same coloured border that the “News Magazine Demo” has:
I mistakenly installed a demo style with content and then uninstalled the whole demo and reinstalled the demo without content again. Can it be the reason? What is your suggestion? Is there a way I can replace one with the other?
I am using Saywhat demo of theme. I have a problem that each time posts get shuffled when i refreshed the home page. I want that latest posts come after refresh.

First of all, please ensure that you have downloaded the latest theme version from Theme Forest and then, ensure that your theme installing have been done via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. When you install a demo with content, this will simply import some dummy content to see how everything will look. This content includes posts, categories, menus etc. You have to create your own and replace these

All elements on the homepage can be customized as well. The Big grids and blocks can be configured to pick posts from your categories and you can also sort the posts

Yes the implementation method used to re-create the travel demo on another demo will not work anymore in the current version as the code was changed in order to make it compatible with the tagdiv composer. Please do not use both page builders at the same time.
If you want to use the tagdiv composer, you will have to recreate your pages as this guide mentions: https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/

Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option, sorry! Most likely, for achieving this, you should edit the theme core files but this task involve such more time and it is custom work and we cannot provide this type of services, sorry! i have installed woocommerce as directed… but what i cant see is how to include the template file for the /shop index page that you have presented on https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/shop/
Also, if i edit the page ‘shop’ with TAGDIV i get a error message at the top of the screen ‘Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!’
this is a new installation if it helps to know that.
really keen to get this error off and start the build of the shop page so look forward to your reply.

I just noticed today that my post title, author name, and date disappear on posts when resized to tablet and mobile width. This is new and I have not made any changes (that I’m aware of) other than updating to Newspaper 8.
I checked my custom CSS code and did not find anything that would have affected this. When I looked at the Newspaper 8 demo on mobile/tablet, I can see that the meta info still appears, so not sure what’s different about my installation compared to yours.
My other thought is that it could somehow be linked to a plugin conflict, but this also seems unlikely since I have not added or made any changes to my plugin files.
Would welcome any suggestions you might have.

Trying to use TagDiv on Newspaper 8
The only place I see the link to start it, is when I’ve installed the default demo WITH content. Without content, it does not show.
I’ve also tried the Local News Demo and it doesn’t show at all, sample content or not.
ALSO – isn’t TagDiv supposed to show on a category page, so that can be edited? It doesn’t seem to do so anywhere other than the single home page on just one demo.
Appreciate some pointers.

I can use this plugin but can’t use that plugin. Changed the background and showed fine on explorer and chrome but firefox still hasn’t changed. Cleared my cache, cleared firefox cache, restarted my computer, restarted firefox but still showing the old, not the new. Asked how to bring my posts etc. to a new demo but got some answer that was unclear to me, a person who is unfamiliar with this theme. I need a step by step instructions for dummies. After I install a new demo with content, how do I change the content to my own. Please explain to me as a newbie, not as one of the developers of the theme. Thank You.

For the best results you can use 1920px images or maybe even higher. The theme will create the necessary thumbnails form the images you set as featured for posts

The retina thumbnails will be displayed on high DPI devices. They will be created from the same image and displayed for users that have a retina display (usually Apple devices)

Hi, I think you misunderstood, the problem isn’t that I get a 404 error, the problem is in the 404 page template itself, it has an issue with the style of the title block, it comes with a strange background.
Anyway, I solved with a custom CSS rule, but I hope you can fix it in the upcoming updates because it is also present in your demo.

I have installed newspaper 8 OK and the included plugins and now added the default demo theme. This has killed the composer plugin which has been deleted! Not very happy about this. Do I need to reinstall the composer plugin?

Maybe this is all a misunderstanding. If you want to have the exact same design and layout as the demo, you have to install it in the theme panel

From what I can see the demo style is not present on your website.
When you install a demo, the system will import all the theme panel settings and the custom style including the header style. The header style used is style 5 with some modifications through CSS and the theme panel.
This customized header style cannot be selected in theme panel, the demo needs to be installed in order to achieve that result.
Please remove the code my colleague provided, and simply install the demo.

There should be no problem creating a similar design for a block. You just need to place the block you want on a row, then stretch the row

If you are having problems using these options, maybe something is interfering with the tagDiv composer. Try deactivating all your other plugins except the editor as a test, and clear any caching installed. Then create a new page and try it again to see if everything works properly.
