Hi,
Do I have to manually enter the category ids in the “Ajax dropdown – show the following IDs:” section in order for them to show up in the filter’s dropdown?
I was expecting to see a list of all categories based on the demo’s settings here:
but there’s no category shown in the dropdown.

Hello,
Please make sure you deactivate ALL plugins and just leave visual composer active. Then clear your cache and reset cdn files if you use it. The theme does not have any js erros in it’s default state. you can inspect our live demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/

If the theme is not activated then we cannot inspect the issues unfortunately. The tabs element should work if there is nothing in conflict with it. I suspect a plugins conflict as well, so please disable all your plugins except visual composer and clear your cache. then check your tabs again.
In order to place full width images on your pages, you can use a full width row and add an image to it: http://screencast.com/t/b3qqg7KIv you can see this type of implementation on our travel demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_travel/
For the category pages, we will have to see how the images are positioned on your website, so please lt us know when you have the theme active so we can inspect it.

not responsive
: minimising the screen, you see only the left part that stays visible, there when you activate a demo, the logo gets smaller and still vissble in full wwidth.
I have just seen that Microsoft Edge is doing fine but the Firefox isn’t and I was working on the MS explorer earlier on when I noticed, also not responsive header.
I have a site http://2imsa.be which is Dutch and is has the newspaper theme without any demo installed.
http://2imsa.be/news is a copy of it but with the “Car demo” installed without the data and in English.
Both of them are new clean installations, only Akismet and Hello Dolly came with the installation but not activated.
Only WP Bakery Visual Composer and Revolution slider are activated.
Could you look at it in different browsers
The picture is not showing the same

The full logo has nothing to do with the car demo. you can add a logo of that size on any demo in header style 10 and it will be responsive. I just added a logo of 1920 x580 px in the default demo and it works fine and it is responsive. It remains responsive even if I activate the car demo with or without content. If responsiveness breaks on your site, it is probably from other sources like a conflicting plugin.

I have a style 10 with full logo 1920×287, the same size used but less in height in the “Car demo”.
I did put a copy of the site elsewhere and I loaded the Car demo replacing the Car logo with mine and it works fine.
Although when I install only the car demo without the content, the logo is not responsive.
Could it be that there is some CSS loaed with the full demo which isn’t there when using the theme staight

when you click search button with empty input field you get “wp booster error” in the search result:
td_api_base::mark_used_on_page : a component with the ID: thumbnail is not set.
I have fixed it on my local server commenting line 322 in td_api.php file but this error occurs in your demo website. Can you check it please.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. Rule #1 is NOT to update all plugins as many times they have bugs, are broken and cause issues. It’s only wise to update to TESTED versions of plugins, and check the support pages for any plugin for issues PRIOR to install. Often the latest versions of VC, SliderRevolution, Yoast, etc., have introduced major major problems with new versions (Yoast often rushes out 5 bug fix releases the first week to fix “problems” which have done things like break sitemaps, demolish meta data, and break other plugins!).
So, good to perhaps plan a little better for how you approach “updates” as the “latest” is not always the “best” — it’s better to be wary, and savvy of NEW updates, and not fully tested/mature versions proven to actually work with WP, themes, other plugins, and best practices.
You can update plugins which are bundled for free with theme each time the theme is updated. Also note over past 2.5 years, TagDiv has been on top of releases patches/updates for every security issues raised.
You might want to look at things like the Securi WordPress blog and other resources which stay on top of all the vulnerabilities in WP and related tech.
Good to be wary, but it’s super safe around these parts! I’m an #infosec expert, so totally part of my daily routine around here. 🙂

There is no such license for images as they were not destined to be utilized in a final product. You can use them in dev mode until you set things up. The images were meant to provide an example on how the theme would display them. We are not licensed to sell images, but rather wordspress themes, but we cannot sell a theme without some demo images for people to have a visual idea of how things look. We recommend not to use these images in your website’s final form. You can get free HD images from sites like https://eu.fotolia.com/ and https://pixabay.com/ that can easily replace the ones that come with the theme.

2) This can be achieved without compromising the theme. You can use this css to reduce the outer container:

3) Unfortunately there is no such ad spot at the moment in our theme. I’m not sure what ads you are referring to in the health and fitness demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_health/ Please provide an example.
4) The disqus plugin is not listed as officialy tested to work 100% with our theme. We just added some fixes for it due to user requests for this. I cannot provide an official answer but our users have been utilizing disqus successfully with our theme.
5)Header style 8 has a few problems we are aware of, and this seems to be one of them. We suggest using a different header style until we can fix the issues with header 8. (Sorry for the inconvenience)
6) We always recommend the freelancers from envato itself. (studio.envato.com)

It seems something is wrong on your side as the td-modal-image class gets applied on the td-post-content which is not the way it should be. Plus i see you have multiple div’s with the td-post-content class. Something is definitely not OK there. Maybe some custom modifications are in place that affect these classes. Please try to create a fresh install of the theme if you do not have custom modifications. If you do, then you can create a testing sub-domain and install the theme there to test it out and see how the classes are supposed to be applied. You can also compare your code to the demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/

The theme code was tested and optimized for best performance, we have a lot of clients and the theme works well on a large variety of hosts.
First please make sure that you use the recommended server configuration for Newspaper theme, you can check our documentation for more details: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
There are lots of factors that influence the site’s page-sped. I suggest you first try this without any other plugins active, leave just VC plugin active the check again. To improve the loading speed look the mysql query cache: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/query-cache.html we also use it on our demo.
Also you can use the speed booster to move the js and css at the bottom of the page, eliminate render-blocking, but not for all plugins. Check the System Status if the speed booster is active if you use other plugins than the tested ones. Unfortunately there is no option to do this. You can only load one demo on one instance of the site. It can be done however with multiple sub-domains all having the theme installed and different demos installed on them, then adding redirects to the links. It’s a bit of a hassle, but unfortunately there is no simple option for it. Sorry.

Please use the theme documentation as we put a lot of work to it in order to provide as much information as possible. Do you maybe use an image plugin or the photon feature of jetpack? If so please remove these plugins/options.
The image lightbox could also break if you use a link in your image caption.
