Hi,
The website loading speed is affected by many factors, like hosting server, plugins, page size etc. There are many guides here in the forum that can be useful in improving website loading speed. Some of them here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/

Hi Authors,
MY website: http://kissfmmedan.com have Popular (last 7 Days) in:
- News Ticker: https://i.snag.gy/dqIbHP.jpg, and
- Footer 1 widget: https://i.snag.gy/LHpnwb.jpg
But, based on my observations, since March 27, 2018 until now (Apr 5, 2018) the all the post not changes at all.
It’s like popular in all time.
I have set enable the Ajax Counting from panel: https://i.snag.gy/VR8pAr.jpg
And enabled 7 days post sorting: https://i.snag.gy/hmuZBL.jpg
I installed WP Super Cache plugin.
Should i install Jetpack? I don’t like Jetpack, it makes my website slowed down. I read this article Avoid these 35 WordPress plugins and your site will load faster
What I missed here?

Hello,
Please use this guide to increase your site loading speed: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Thank you!
Hello Rohit,
Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized. Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit our requirements.
Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. If you want to read other views from our users, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/
One of our top members here on the forum wrote his own optimization tutorial here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/ and here -> https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
Basically, these are the theme requirements
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thanks for your understanding!
Ohh man, do you think If I start this topic without checkin the forum?
@byvaly please check my question!
It was request to new feature!
For sure I can add my custom function to F**KING footer.php
Or much better edit file ./parts/footer/td_sub_footer_template_1.php
But I don’t want edit pure theme! I don’t want lose my changes every update(for reason tagDiv team) footer or something.
Will be really helpful add_filter or add_action for that,
But NOT edit original theme!!! Also I don’t want have a child theme, it’s too complicated, and I don’t want loose a lot of time, for me much faster write a small plugin!
I already check the source and right now its not so easy to implement it without hardcode!
PS: don’t offer me lazy solution!

Hello cthrag,
I have checked your website URL on Google Insights and I saw that your page speed is too slow because your website was not be optimized, as you can see here -> https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=ro&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.karaburunzeytinevleri.com%2F&tab=desktop

Hello Jasmin,
Unfortunately, please notice that we do not have any bad reports in this case until now, sorry! Remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results.
Please inform us where you tested the site to receive this report (Bad Seo ranking). Notice that our recommended Seo plugin is Seo Yoast. You can check the following useful guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Thanks for your understanding!
If you wait more than 10 seconds, it seems to work somewhat…
If you are faster than this, it messes everything up.
Can you please, please make ELEMENTOR builder compatible with your theme like visual composer. It is faster and cleaner then visual composer and has more adds on so we can use it also in the posts.
it also has beautiful adds on and widgets
Hi,
That would be the cascade effect in which CSS works. If multiple CSS code is used for the same element then the first one will be loaded firs, then the second etc. The black background color is the initial color set for that header style, you could remove it form the theme stylesheet
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Vcg3ho5y6Ph
Also there is a default color set for the menu items
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ck9TcE4kUV42
Try removing these codes and see how it looks. If you used custom code try entering it directly in the theme stylesheet so it will be loaded faster.
Thanks
Do you have any suggestions to make it faster !?
Thank you

Hello friends
first, thanks for the excellent support distributed by the TagDiv team. I am happy and amazed at the quality and speed of the answers.
Undoubtedly, a TagDiv is the best to produce WordPress templates.
Well, now let’s get into my problem.
I have my site making requests for static files (images, css, javascript) with cookies on all requests.
I would like to make requests for static files without using cookies (free-cookies), and for that I would need to create a subdomain, and even tweak it in the WordPress and database settings.
Well, I’m scared, and I do not want to ruin my site, which I’ve been working on for several months.
Any tutorial or anyone to help me with this step?
My goal is to have a faster, more efficient website and follow good performance practices.
Thank you again
Alexandre
Hi,
There is a plugin provided that may help with render blocking, the tagDiv speedbooster plugin. But this plugin will not work when it detects other plugins installed then a predefined list
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
There is a solution to disable that check and making further tests
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/
Disabling it could break plugin functionality that is why it was implemented. But that may happen with other page speed tools. You could make tests with it, or try other optimization methods or solutions online. There are many speed guides provided bu theme users, here in the forum
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/score-100100-pagespeed-with-newspaper-wordpress-theme/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newspaper-theme-speedify-your-website/

Hi, On the mobile it takes about 20 seconds to open the menu and we are testing it with fast Wi-Fi connections. We need it to go faster because users that connect to the web do not expect so much.
I can confirm that the last loading section of the website takes a long time, but I can not find the reason.
Can you help me please?
I put my web access in my profile.
I am waiting for your news. Thanks in advance.
Best
The code works as it makes the thumbnail invisible. But the problems remains. Because though the thumbnail is invisible but the container is there so the text align right.
The second solution works better but it makes the posting a bit complicated because it associates two blocks that shows single category. So while submitting post on single category i have to always aware what to show on upper block and what to show on lower block.
Another question is, if i enable thumbnail can i show a specific pic on those thumbnails?
The newspaper theme is great. But it can be greater if you fix some issues as soon as possible like this one. It is important as sometimes or many times it better to make the news site less populated with images due to lack of good image supply and to make the website naturally faster.
fix wanted –
– If thumbnail disabled there wont be any trace of it or a separate block that only has featured image then no thumbnail.
– A light and less complex Slider with vertical tab. (post slider)
Thanks.

But there are going to be situations where you want to make changes… Was that not considered?
I have a dark blue background with white text on a row. The sitewide bg colour is white. so when my page loads I get a horrible looking flash of a huge block of white. For whatever reason, the block below which also has a coloured background loads faster than the row above, making it look even worse. Please take a look and you will see what I mean:

Hi there,
I’m so glad I can go to someone for help. I’ve been having a lot of trouble trying to figure out to keep my font at George 14 (paragraph) and Georgia 24 (heading 1) when I writing a post. It’s taking me way too long to go back and manually adjust the font between the text and titles.
I have gone into the theme panel and went through the process of identifying those fonts in the Post Settings, but it doesn’t stick. Everything has been saved but when I go to write a post, it’s back where it was at Verdana 12.
Could someone please help me? I need to get faster at writing posts and this is really slowing me down.
(I had the Tag Div Composer installed but deactivated it to see if it would make a difference. Also had Google Fonts, Elementor, and Divi plugins which are all now deactivated).
In case it’s a plugin issue: This is what I have installed:
Akismet
Google Analytics
Jetpack
Monarch Plugin
Really Simple SSL
Really Simple SSL Pro
Tiny MCE Advanced
WP Total Cache
WP Custom Login Page Logo
WP Smush
Yoast SEO Premium
Thank you in advance!!
Hello ashubais,
Please notice that aspect depends on how well your site is optimized. Check our optimization guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ and from here -> https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/BlockingJS
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
I recently fixed this on my site using this guide
You just need to paste this into the .htaccess file:
# BEGIN Expire headers <ifModule mod_expires.c> ExpiresActive On ExpiresDefault "access plus 5 seconds" ExpiresByType image/x-icon "access plus 604800 seconds" ExpiresByType image/jpeg "access plus 604800 seconds" ExpiresByType image/png "access plus 604800 seconds" ExpiresByType image/gif "access plus 604800 seconds" ExpiresByType application/x-shockwave-flash "access plus 604800 seconds" ExpiresByType text/css "access plus 604800 seconds" ExpiresByType text/javascript "access plus 604800 seconds" ExpiresByType application/javascript "access plus 604800 seconds" ExpiresByType application/x-javascript "access plus 604800 seconds" #ExpiresByType text/html "access plus 600 seconds" #ExpiresByType application/xhtml+xml "access plus 600 seconds" </ifModule> # END Expire headers
I don’t understand the problem you are mentioning with a code. If you could provide more details about it it would be helpful.
Note that speed optimization is affected by many factors as I mentioned above. Test only with theme plugins active, test without ads.
There is also a theme tutorial you can follow
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Or follow other online or forum tutorials. Website and speed optimization has to be made by you, or professional services. We do not offer such services unfortunately.
The link is about Optimization and not Speed.
My website page speed insight score is
Optimization – Good – 97 / 100
Speed – Slow – 5.3s FCP8.0s DCL
“PSI estimates this page requires 1 additional round trips to load render blocking resources and 4.3 MB to fully render. The median page requires 4 round trips and 2.7 MB. Fewer round trips and bytes results in faster pages.”
You did not ask a question from what I can see. I don’t know how you were inserting theme blocks in pages without using any of the composers.
If you don’t want to use any of the page builders, deactivate them and build pages in a different way as you did before.
As a note, if you reply in out own topic, you will only delay the response. We answer from oldest to newest. provide all the details in the first post and we will reply faster.
