In order to have modified date, make sure you select Show date from the Layout tab.
I just test it on the latest version of the theme 11.4.2 and this is working perfectly.
For example: an article is from 11.03 and the modified date is 14.03. So, the modified date 14.03 should be displayed only when the option is on.
Please make sure it is not about cache. Deactivate the cache plugin that you use and see the results.
Hello, first of all I would like to clarify that the issue is with the flex block element (post grid) that we use on tagDiv page builder, the dates on the post page are working fine.
We have updated the theme from 11.4 to 11.4.2 and the issue persists.
We have deactivated the cache plugin, we have selected Show date and whether we tick the option “Show modified date” or not, it always shows the modified date.
For example, a post was published on 19.03 and modified on 23.03. It always shows 23.03 on the grid and we would like it to show the publish date 19.03.

As I said, you can do those styles with tagDiv Composer, these options are used for Standard Templates, so if you want to use then you need to activate the tagDiv standard pack, but this can not be customised with tagDiv Composer.
The cloud templates are more flexible.

Indeed, on the posts loop, only one author is displayed. I added this bug, and I hope in the next update will be fixed.
A solution is to use a flex block and to set filters until it is resolved.

I’m using the Newspaper theme with the UsersWP plugin, this plugin works nicely with Deodirectors from the same developer.
The plugin has a user page with tabs where you can use your shortcodes.
I managed to use the FlexBlock1 shortcode and implement a filter for it by the user whose page is currently being viewed.
Userswp implements the function $user = uwp_get_user_by_author_slug();
I was able to add a check to the filter for the FlexBlock:
if ($authors_id == ‘my_page’) {
$user = uwp_get_user_by_author_slug();
$wp_query_args[‘author’] = $user->ID;
} else
if (!empty($authors_id)) {
$wp_query_args[‘author’] = $authors_id;
}
This works correctly for me, but there was a problem with pagination (it doesn’t matter infinite, load more).
The first page loads correctly, but when pagination is triggered, the filter is lost and posts of all users are displayed.
Please tell me which way to look to solve this problem.

If you want to display the posts that has the feature video set, then add a specific category to those posts and use the category filter (or you can do the same but using a tag).

The Posts Loops settings are divided into 5 tabs: General, Layout, Style, ADS and CSS. The Posts loop is a special block and doesn’t have filtering options.
Also, one of the options for pagination of the Posts Loop has the option for normal numbered and the flex blocks do not have this option.
The Posts Loop is automatically filtering the posts depending on the cloud template you set (for example on the category page there will be posted posts from that category).

Block 11 is an older block, please use Flex Block or Big Grid Flex Block which gives you more adjustment and flexibility options than blocks from tagDiv Standard Pack.

I have been doing some SEO checks before I go live with this new newspaper theme. I have discovered the theme has created over 400 internal links on the front page. (This is not a good thing) as compared to my current live which only is only showing about 5 internal links on the front page.
If I live this site now there is going to me a massive SEO change due to the 400 internal links on the front page.
My current live theme is actually well thought out in terms of SEO. Articles on the front page do not actually create hyperlinks. Just a title that you can click that will take you to the artcile. This gives much better SEO control.
My site http://www.techbusinessnews.com.au is actually the number 1 ranking site in Australia for the search term (Tech News)
It is SEO internal link balanced perfectly.
Even though I have matched all SEO related components on my staging site with newspaper theme there is a massive difference with the front page now showing over 400 internal links as compared with my current live site
If you look at my current live site http://www.techbusinessnews.com.au the articles on the front page don’t actually create internal links as they are in special containers. (As you will see)
If I push my newspaper staging site to live there is a huge chance I could actually cause great harm to my rankings because if the massive amount of internal links on the front page (Big SEO change)
How can I make the newspaper theme not create this massive amount of internal links on the front page. And just be clickable articles without creating an actual html hyperlink. I need to remove this before going live. If I dont I could lose my ranking or even worse get a penalty due to misbehaving link structure.

Underneath each image it says “Crypto” These are actual “links” How do I stop them from being links?

As mentioned above, none of the Flex Blocks have the ‘show modified date’ selected
(and to clarify, I do not want the modified date to show, and yet it does for every date).

Yes, by default this setting is off because is an extra option to show the date and also to show modified date. But, you can enable it from General tab -> Extra of flex block’s element. For more information, please check our guide here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
If you have a global template, then you need to edit only one category and the setting will apply on all your categories. For homepage, you need to edit it with the TagDiv Composer and apply the settings, or you can copy-paste the element which is already set as you like.

Yes, this can be done, here is an example what you need to do:
The Newspaper theme allows you to include flex blocks inside your post content using a single post template.
Simply click on the single post content element and click on the Ads tab. Here, you are able to add the code for the flex block to be display inside the post content. An example code to add flex block with a random post can be get from here.
Example : Flex block with a random post. The sample code added in the field for the article inline ad 1.
To make your own inline blocks, create a new page and set the flex block that you want to use, after you edit it just copy the shortcode for the flex block from the page and set it like in above example.
The code is the one set between the “vc_column” and “/vc_column” shortcodes

I’ve just realized the date that showing is in fact the last modified date (I updated all our tags today, so every post has been modified). This seems very odd. None of the flexblocks have the ‘show modified date’ option checked.
How do I get the homepage to only show the published date?
The same problem also appears, I note, in the Category template pages.

Is it possible to insert a Block or Flex Block between 2 paragraphs of a post?
When I write a post all the text is in a single block. Therefore a Flex Block can be inserted at the beginning or at the end, but not between paragraphs.

If I don’t use stated tags, than same advertorial can appear on 2 or on all 3 flex blocks at once. That Is why I use tags as a aditional filter option on 3 modules/blocks that are used for showing adverts on homepage.
Is there option to hide these specific tags from showing on single page of the advert even though it is assigned to it with some kind of CSS and .class? Maybe If one of your coding experts could help? 🙂

If you want to exclude the ad1,2,3 from that block then you can exclude the category Oglas from the homepage in that flex block by writing -ID, check the guide here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
If you want to exclude the tag Oglas 1,2,3 from the articles, then there is no setting for that because that element brings automatically all the tags that you have for the current post/article.

If I understand correctly, the problem is only for the pages that are not cached. Do you have many pages that do not need to be cached?
What I can recommend to do to improve the page speed is to set less flex blocks on pages and cloud templates, remove the ajax pagination from flex blocks, disable the google fonts, disable the standard pack (in case that is enabled and you use some elements from this plugin, those will be display as shortcodes), you also can disable the view post count (remove it with tagDiv Composer from post template) and disable the ajax view count.
I hope that doing those optimizations the speed will became better.
