Hi,
These thumbs are already set to be crop center, top -> https://i.imgur.com/7n9ZKJo.png the path is -> \wp-content\themes\Newspaper\includes\td_config.php
What you can do is to regenerate your thumbs, you can use our guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Also we suggest to use flex blocks, on these you can choose the image size -> https://imgur.com/9eZ0pJe
Thank you!
Hi aguslightyear,
Please provide some more details about what you want to achieve.
Also please note that only the flex blocks ave the option per row, some Big Grid Flex as Big Grid Flex 1 have different options, but not all of them -> https://i.imgur.com/e4GS1yi.png
Thank you!
Hello Calin
I´m using Big Grid Flex 5, but I don´t have the “Modules per row” option, as you show in this caption http://prntscr.com/opf6lf
I don´t have the mobile theme plugin active.
Can you help me with that?
Thank You
Hi,
Unfortunately for the moment, you can apply only one sort, latest articles or most popular -> https://i.imgur.com/D6F6bXU.png also for the Popular (last 7 days) all you need is to have in theme panel this option enable -> https://i.imgur.com/X9qxTPJ.png there is no need of counter in post or sidebar.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please note that our support hours are from Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 17:00 PM GMT+2,
also note that we take in order of time the topics ( time when was post the question ) and if you post/reply again in your topic the time will change and will be move to the recent question, therefore the answer will be delay.
I think that this can be easy achieve by setting for each of these post a category that represent the level of priority for that post (most part for level 1 and 2) and on you homepage use tagDiv Composer and set the flex blocks/grids that you think that are the most visual and set the sort for latest and filter for the category level 1 -> https://i.imgur.com/sjVZsC4.jpg after that set another one for category level 2 if you want you can change the row layout to set these category one beside other -> https://i.imgur.com/lRbqkK8.jpg
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately for the moment our theme do not have this option, to add automatically the inline ads in blocks between module, sorry!
What you can do is to use tagDiv Composer, set a flex block after that set an ad box then set again an flex block and again an ad box.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
You can build this page using tagDiv Composer you need to make a new page and set in the row some inner rows than set the layout on them as in your example https://i.imgur.com/ixRUEVS.png -> https://i.imgur.com/yxLmd3f.png after you set the containers for the layout you want -> https://i.imgur.com/UEVUKvM.png you can set the element you need inside the empty inner column, for example if these https://i.imgur.com/npncE57.png are posts then you can use some flex blocks to display them -> https://i.imgur.com/98dxDsg.png -> https://i.imgur.com/yFPPIXc.png -> https://i.imgur.com/vSAsieZ.png -> https://i.imgur.com/q2DYJrg.png also there are other element in tagDiv Composer that you can use.
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi,
Yes, you can achieve that using tagDiv Composer and setting a flex block 5 -> https://i.imgur.com/mjjGmOP.png and set these settings -> https://i.imgur.com/0GYHIYX.png -> https://i.imgur.com/JGkVO1R.png
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi,
The “Unique articles” option is available only on pages, but you do not need to worry, you can achieve the same on category template to, all you need to do is to edit the cloud template for the category with tagDiv Composer like this -> https://i.imgur.com/jA26NO8.png -> https://i.imgur.com/4lWs4CG.jpg and you can edit it how you want, for example you can set a offset for posts -> https://i.imgur.com/zKfRO5c.jpg in this way the posts will no repeat -> https://i.imgur.com/YADfkcj.png -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
Hope this will help you!
Thanks.
Hi,
You need to use tagDiv Composer, click on the Flex Block 1 and check in Layout the excerpt -> https://i.imgur.com/Avfpwop.jpg and hide it.
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately you can use only a sort on each block, also the the Popular posts can be sort only after posts views, but you can set some more filers for example -> https://i.imgur.com/Nk2cBa5.png these filter can be set using tagDiv Composer on flex blocks and blocks.
Hope this will help you!
Thanks.
What should I do if I need to hide the contents of a category in Flex Block 1 and not let it show
Hi,
Is no need to change the “Header template” for the flex block/block but if you want to remove the “continue to the category” text you need to use tagDiv Composer and remove the text “continue to the category”. -> https://i.imgur.com/4E6FtGG.png and set a blank space -> https://i.imgur.com/NmU7Hvz.png
Using tagDiv Composer you can change the color for the buttons like this -> https://i.imgur.com/tBqTPkn.png most of the colors for the elements can be change with tagDiv Composer from style tab -> https://i.imgur.com/s9OrFY2.png
Yes, we’ll take a look to the category page and fix the problem.
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi,
No, there are only 5 flex blocks, but you can edit theme how you want, you can also use some premade flex blocks from cloud https://i.imgur.com/FJF9Su3.png -> https://i.imgur.com/lrlAqWP.png
If you want to achieve a design and you do not know how, let me know and I will help you!
Have a nice weekend!
Hi Calin,
thank you for your help. It worked well for the date.
Is there also a way to edit the “Header template” without changing the “Flex Block/Block”? So that I can change the “Header template” font size precisely for the “Custom title”.
Two more questions please:
Where can I change the button hover style for tagDiv buttons? I don’t see the option through the tagDiv composer. If there is a global option I’d prefer the global one.
On the Category pages I receive a “Warning: A non-numeric value encountered […] on line 107”. I can’t figure out what it is. Can you please take a look? I’ll send the website information through an email to contact@tagdiv.com .
Best regards,
Oliver
Hi,

Hi,
The date can be change from Settings > General -> https://i.imgur.com/7px6nQV.png
You can remove/change that “continue to the category” text by editing the page with tagDiv Composer, click on flex blocks and change the header template 12, this one have the continue button -> https://www.screencast.com/t/PsPdO3OwSvWW
If this is not what you mean, please provide some more details.
Thank you!
Than you for your support. Are there more than four flex blocks in the tag div menu? Just so that I can find one to fit into my site style.
Hi,
If the images look blurry on homepage, what you can do is to use some flex block, you have some more control over the featured image using this element -> https://i.imgur.com/9eZ0pJe.png
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi, team tagdiv.
There’s a bug in your theme. You gave us flexibility to use beautiful animation, namely placeholder travel, on searchbar. When user is typing in the searchbar, the placeholder goes up and becomes invisible because of the opacity set to 0 on focus. That’s great and how it should be.
But the point is when the search is done and user lands on the search page, the search term is still in the searchbar which is fine. But the placeholder is also there and it creates mess in the searchbar. Neither the placeholder nor the search term is clear since one is overlapping the other.
Got a solution without using a custom css? If you think that this is not an issue or a bug and won’t be addressed by the developers in future update, then please give me the css code (cross-browser-compatible).
Thanks.
I guess I’ll just copy the whole “[td_flex_block_1 modules_on_row=….]” stuff over and over into every “Single Post Content”. It’s not that cool as using the [artistmoretag name=”x”] shortcode, but at least it works. =)
Hey,
sorry I don’t really understand.
If I set the wordpress shortcode within the cloud template it just prints out the tag for the flex_block.
-> I could set the whole [td_flex_block_1 modules_on_row=…….] tag, that would work, but that way I won’t be able to change the tag_slug for every post.
Hi,
I think that you want this to be apply only on posts without featured image, unfortunately this can be achieved only if you set some flex blocks and set these post (you need to filter the posts these with featured image and these without, if you want you can set a category that will apply for all post without featured image and set the filter on that category) to be display in it and remove the featured image.
Thank you!
Hi, i’m developing a news site with newspaper template, everything is fine except for a bad display in responsive mode of flex block 3. The last two items are stick together. what can I do?
Thanks

Hi pratiek,
Indeed the flex elements do not have a border radius for the module, only for element from the module, in order to set the border as in your example you need to edit the flex block and to use this custom css -> https://i.imgur.com/hJBMcWz.png -> https://i.imgur.com/VWwgIyN.png is possible that for some settings to need to be adjusted the css, if you need help with this, lease provide me a link to your website where I can create the right css.
Thank you for your understanding!
