Hello,
You can use the Flex Block 1 and you can filter it to display the posts only from a category -> https://i.imgur.com/Nnt3zGX.png and you can design it to look like a posts loops block.
The Posts Loops settings are divided into 5 tabs: General, Layout, Style, ADS and CSS. The Posts loop is a special block and doesn’t have filtering options.
Also, one of the options for pagination of the Posts Loop has the option for normal numbered and the flex blocks do not have this option.
The Posts Loop is automatically filtering the posts depending on the cloud template you set (for example on the category page there will be posted posts from that category).
Thank you!
I would like your help on the following matter. When I want to enter an article from the central title of the Grid FLEX 1 and I click with the cursor on the title of the article, there are points that do not activate and appear inactive. For example, in the second topic of the Second block that I use on the site trikalatroll.gr, when I click with the cursor In the third and fourth row and specifically in the words “προεκλογική συγκέντρωση του Ηλία Βλαχογιάννη I am not allowed to enter the article.I would like you to tell me where I am making the mistake and if it can be activated at every point of the title text.
Hello,
I would like to show new products on the frontpage along with normal posts. But adding the post-type “product” in the flex block 1 does not show products. How can I do this?
Greetings
Hi,
the documentation on excerpts makes no mention of the wordpress <!-more-> tag and it doesn’t seem to work as an alternative to using the excerpt field in the flex blocks. Can it be added as a functionality?
Many thanks!
Hi,
1. Please try this custom css:
.entry-review-stars .td-icon-star:before, .entry-review-stars .td-icon-star-half:before {
color: red;
}
I hope it will work.
2. I understand, the flex loop has a default ability to filter the taxonomies.
On Flex loop the only options that can be used are those from this guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/filters-sorting-taxonomies/
Hi,
The options from the flex block to flex loop are a little different, flex block has more options, but the 2 major options that can not be done with flex block 1 are numbered pagination and you need to set the filter manually for the cloud templates (on current category if is a category, current tag if is a cloud tag template …).
Thank you!
Hello,
1. I will have to circle back on this – the site is restricted by IP while I work on testing. I can probably figure out the CSS myself, but I would suggest that it get added as an option (as there’s several review options in the Flex Loop already, just not star color).
2. I’m trying to use the Flex Loop because of its ability to provide dynamic filtering based on taxonomy. Let’s see if I can re-explain ->
My site has 2 main “categories” of content, Reviews and News. The Reviews have multiple taxonomies to describe them (it’s computer hardware, so things like manufacturer, GPU type, etc.). I’m attempting to make a Category Template using the new Flex Loop and related Filters.
The issue that I’m running into is that when I use the Flex Loop, by default on a Category Page (for Reviews), it will load ALL posts into the loop and provide filtering options for ALL posts on the site.
Example: CPU (Review Category) -> Displays All Reviews, All News, all Taxonomy items
Desired default state for that page -> CPU Reviews, No News, Taxonomy Items related to CPU. I do not want News or other review types to show up here, but there does not seem to be a way to limit the Flex Loop in this way (much like is possible on a Flex Block to only show a specific category).
Is there a possibility that you take over the options that are in Flex block under colors module in the post loops?
we wanted to make the post loops look the same as they are in the flex box, i.e. with the color gradient.
the reason is that we want to display an advertisement in every 3 or 4 postal ads, but still want the functionality of browsing.
Hi the team,
I have a problem that I hope you can fix.
My main menu is made of 7 differents parts which are categories.
When I click on a part of this menu, it open a “page” with content on it and mainly a flexblock 1 with articles.
All the pages are made on the same model: Title, flexblock 1 and sidebar.
If I select a “category filter” on the flexblock 1 of a page, all the pages are affected by the same category filter.
My problem is that I want to have a different category filter on each different page, like this:
Main menu > part 1 > Category filter 1
Main menu > part 2 > Category filter 2
Main menu > part 3 > Category filter 3
and so on.
How can I do that?
Thanks a lot.
Fred
Hi @Gono,
Thank you for your kind and honest feedback. I’m sorry that you feel this way about the latest update. I understand your point of view as we know that there are no two websites alike and with the same needs.
I truly appreciate you taking the time to provide such clear feedback.
In the last months, our team focused on helping our customers create websites that generate revenue for them. This is why we’ve implemented WooCommerce functionality, membership, subscription, and now directory capabilities. However, none of these capabilities can be implemented in a single stage without affecting the customers’ websites. For this reason, we’ve implemented them in stages, releasing some basic capabilities first and then building upon them in the next updates.
Yes, we know the features are not perfect and we are working on improving them with each update. Of course, you can get the same or even more complex functionalities using dedicated, premium plugins. However, many of our customers are not willing to pay or can not afford expensive plugins and they are counting on us to help them.
If you can provide feedback regarding the functionality you need for a feature, we’ll be happy to send it to the development team. We usually decide on the new implementation based on the popularity of a request and the complexity of the implementation. They analyze the requests and decide what to implement.
We are focused on content. We are working on giving our customers the capability to create new types of content and design it in the most engaging way for their audience. And a subscription system is essential for content websites and we are now working on making the payment recurring for subscribers. Depending on the issues our team will face in the implementation, probably this is going to be the next update.
Yes, we know that our customers are waiting for the updates. We are a small team and we test extensively before releasing an update. Unfortunately, this means there are some delays between updates. I hope we’ll be ready to release a new update very soon.
Thank you again for taking the time to write us. We really appreciate your constructive feedback.
We are keeping this topic open and we are collecting all your feedback.
Each thumb that you have enabled will create a copy for that image, so you can disable the thumbs that are not used
So, our theme makes thumbs which are enabled in Theme Panel -> Block Settings => https://www.screencast.com/t/ZvDvpiBFKY3 -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/.
Also, WordPress creates thumbs => https://www.screencast.com/t/AMVBOZWto
Our suggestion is to take a look at what blocks you use and make sure that the thumbs are active only for that=> https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
Also, to show the last 3-5 articles to a certain tag/category, you can use Flex Block 1 -> https://i.imgur.com/Or6JKRK.png
Also, for ads, you can set the code in Theme Panel, for each device -> https://i.imgur.com/NPDHgjN.png -> https://i.imgur.com/pf4PilR.png
Thank you all for your feedback, and we will consider it.
Hi,
1. Indeed there are some difference between flex block and flex look. The flex block are more customized then a flex loop, but the flex loop can be used on categories, tags … because has a special filter that filter the results after the current category, tag … this option is by default and it can not be changed.
If you want to keep using the flex loop, then please provide a link to your website and I will provide a custom css for the reviews.
2. I’m nut quite sure that I understand whet you need to achieved. If is to display the posts from a specific category or taxonomy, the flex loop should do it by default. For flex block you need to set some extra options, we provide more details about them in this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
Thank you!
Hello,
Please provide more details about you issue with the Hero and white stripes.

Thank you!
Hello,
The theme has this option https://i.imgur.com/nORYxdY.png also, plase make sure you have added the Single Post View element in Single Post Template to work the popular option. Please check the documentation https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
Thank you!

Hello, i have jetpack plugin that offer related articles function that display articles related which you are reading/displying. Is it possible add this to filter in flex boxes? you already offer something like this (popular by jetpack)
Hi,
I added a new block copying block 1 in td api plugin. Named it td_block_17 in php file.
Changed name of block in td-api-plugin.php.
The name is displayed in td composer. But, when I try to add it to a column. it shows just a spinner. it keeps loading and loading.
please check image below:

Kindly, tell me what is going on.
FYI, same thing happens, when I try to add the custom flex block that comes in td api plugin without any modification.
I am using td api plugin which comes with newsmag 5.

Hello,
I’m attempting to build category pages for reviews using the new Flex Loop and related filtering features. I’ve run into a couple of roadblocks with it ->
1. There does not seem to be the ability to set a star color for the reviews like there is in all other blocks (which.. makes them invisible on my dark theme). Perhaps custom CSS is needed until this is an option?
2. With the flex loop on category pages, I want the user to go to a specific category (or, even taxonomy) of product reviews (for example, CPUs) and be presented with the default list of all CPU reviews, and be able to further filter based upon the taxonomy filters offered with the Flex Block Filtering. I do not see a way to set any sort of “default” filter for the Flex Block, thus, my readers going to a particular category/topic page will always be presented with all of the newest articles (which includes news and other content they may not specifically be looking for). It does appear that I can set this type of default filter by post type, however, that would mean I’d need to create a couple dozen sets of custom post types and then change the type of hundreds of reviews, which does not seem very appealing. Any thoughts on how to achieve this?
Hello, I’m currently experimenting with News Hub Pro as I really like the template. I can’t get one thing though. That more of the top post’s thumbnail is displayed on the home page in the flex block. I like the overlay, but I’d like the whole thing to be a bit further to the left. Unfortunately I can’t find any setting for it
I would like your help on the following matter. On my home page I use in order and from top to bottom after Header, big Flex 1 and post loop.
While in Big Flex 1 I can determine – that is, pin – which article will be included, I cannot do this in the Post loop. Is there a way to specify in the Post loop which article will be placed and in which position? Thank you
Hello @marvinschaap!
Access the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB and check the flex block settings. Let the offset field empty with no space, no value and see the results: https://www.screencast.com/t/peVbVmUDE. For more information about offset feature, please check this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/offset-feature/.
Thank you!
Hello,
Yes, you can use the elements Flex Loop -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/filters-sorting-taxonomies/
Thank you!
Hi,
Those modules comes with the demos for CPTs, and are created in code -> https://i.imgur.com/LZIyuI9.png
The flex block x is added in tagDiv Composer, but this has by default only 2 modules. If you like those from image, I can provide the plugins for them.
You can get the plugins by downloading the theme from themeforest or accessing this link ->< https://we.tl/t-G4cusNK7mu
I hope this will help you!
Hello
I know there might be a lot of people raving for the update but I’m sadly not one of them and here is why, which hopefully will help you to understand different point of views.
The major and all-praised update 12 brought us essentially just two features – most of the other features are just part of the so-called directory part, like front end sumbission.
1. Directory
Well to be honest everything you showed now was something we all expected with the 11 or 11.5 update when you advertised CPT and directory functions and what not. This was expected for that update but now you deliver something for what we don’t even have a documentation.
Let’s be honest here. The system will never be a full directory system because you guy are offering a newspaper theme and not a directory plugin. There goes so much into a directory functionality. CPT does not mean it needs to be a directory feature.
If you want something that comes close to a directory, allow your users the integration of GeoDirectory which is a real and proven plugin. I tried to utilize CPT to make the design work but your theme is lacking of many option to retrieve the code from GeoDirectory etc. Last it was mentioned this will be improved with this update. I’ll need to verify yet.
2. User Reviews
I’m actually not sure if this was even requested a lot based on the feedback on TF and your support forum. Most complaints about reviews were in regards to schema and that the system is lacking for options for author reviews. These days a lot of people are reviewing products, services, etc. This is were more features, granular options and design is very much needed.
In my case I’m now stuck with something I have not asked and it keeps loading up on my backend and wasting resources. Please let me know how to get rid of the user review part on my website. I don’t want to have it there or load anything.
3. Give users the option to enable or disable any features you release instead of just loading them on the site. See my User-Review complaint. Give me a toggle to turn it off so it does not load any additional files etc – or make it a plugin.
4. Focus on what you are – a newspaper theme and not the magic theme that does everything. Your theme is $58 and nobody should expect all the functionality from premium plugin out there. You’ll always get more requests from people to incorporate features from paid plugins into your theme. This is not working. Of course people are trying to go the cheapest way if possible but you have to decide if that’s good for you or sustainable. Author reviews function/features is content. A standalone Directory system is not.
Focus on content. Focus on a lean theme that is fast and does not have miles-long waste of full code on the page. Excel in bug fixes, make them more often. Relax on big feature announcements or updates when you release only half-baked solutions -> the first release of paywall (that was a mess) or the directory now.
5. Don’t let people wait 4 months for bug fixes because you are working on big updates. Your work is affecting all our websites and some of your clients are relying on good ranking and user experience to make some money. We were waiting too long for the review schema fix and the flex block requests and loading issue. Paywall still didn’t address a couple of things.
6. Deliver quality improvements not quantity features.
I have all sympathies for your hard work but for me, the wait was useless as nothing really changed. Now I have to wait another 4 months to hopefully get an update that takes care of author reviews so we can write reviews that look amazing. Or I have to switch to a theme that has that already but plays nice with CPT/ACF from other plugins.
Sorry to be the downer here.
Hi,
To display the revises that can be set by users in Flex blocks you’ll need to use the flex block x -> https://i.imgur.com/VPpcbKB.png
I hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hello @gono!
1. This is the name of the CPT because that page is a CPT post and not a regular article.
2. The custom taxonomy type slug name is tdtax_services, and the CPT slug name is tdcpt_directories.
These names were given when the CPTs were created. The best thing you can do is to create your own CPTs and use them on your website.
1. The filter is multi, so there you have entertainment and also from Albany. If you verify the services from Albany, then you will see only directories of cafes and restaurants, not entertainment. Yes, there are no results for the selected filter.
2. If you want to delete only one and see your active filters, then you can add them with the TagDiv Composer’s Flex Loop Active Filters List element.
Yes, you can modify it from the TagDiv Composer: https://prnt.sc/I156G2U6ePCY (There is a stretch row selected) Select the row of the element and change it.
There is a new option for the plans restriction on every row: https://prnt.sc/wyTGHJ6yvbc8
Thank you!
