I have a strange problem and I can’t find a solution. Tried everything!
I have already built my website with the newspaper theme and I have used cloud templates for header and footer. As a last step I add the polylang plugin to create a second language (Main Greek secondary English). I ‘ve used this in the past many times without a problem but right now I have a strange conflict.
When I add my second language (english) and I create the pages, everything at this step works fine. But when I add a new menu and trying to check it as an English header menu, the checkbox unchecked automatically (screenshot 1). As a result, there is no way to add an english menu and even in the english pages, the greek menu appears always.
I’ve contact Polylang support already and they told me it’s a theme conflict.
Any help or any ideas please?

If the footer displays a text that can not be edited (when you hover it), then you are using a standard header, not a cloud header/footer, and it can be edited using the theme panel settings. In case you want to edit it with the theme builder, use cloud templates.

Most of the time, this issue is caused by a shortcode that isn’t compatible with our theme or by a plugin conflict. As a result, after you configure the page or cloud template with tagDiv Composer and save it, you may encounter this error the next time you try to edit it.
If the problem occurs on only one page or cloud template (including header or footer templates), it’s likely due to specific settings or shortcodes used there. You can test this by temporarily switching the header or footer to see if the issue persists. In many cases, the problem can be resolved by restoring a previous version of the page using the revision feature: https://wordpress.com/support/page-post-revisions/

I’m using the Newspaper theme on my website Godt Drikke (https://godtdrikke.net), and I have an issue I haven’t been able to resolve.
At the bottom of every article, an old event announcement still appears:

I’ve checked and tried the following without success:
Removed it from Menus (including Footer Menu and all menu locations)
Checked Widgets (Footer 1–4, Bottom Bar, After Article, etc.)
Inspected Cloud Templates (both Footer and Single Post templates)
Looked through Theme Panel → Ads / Custom Code
Confirmed it’s not inside the article content (Block Editor)
Despite all of this, the text still appears below every article, right above the “Share this” section.
Could you please help identify where in the Newspaper setup this global content block is located, and how to remove or disable it permanently?
Ideally, I’d like to:
Remove the event announcement entirely
Keep the rest of the footer intact

I am not sure about your question about the elements. We are using pages that are built with the standard tagDiv Composer, also standard header and footer templates. There is currently no <main> and other landmarks generated by the theme. Can you check it with the webbrowser or do you need screenshots or other info?

Yes, sure we did. It’s looking fine now because previously, the theme couldn’t load any header or footer templates. My colleague built some new ones now but I’d really want to know why this happened. We had to do something because the client gets really angry when things arent working. Any idea what’s causing this? It’s a very old site that we paid your team to do a migration from version 8.7.2 to 12.7 on in May.
Yes, I checked according to the document you provided. Except for the “php.ini memory limit: 40MB (recommended: 256M)” part—which I didn’t change because there was no error message—everything else was fine. In addition, I tried selecting the “Trucking Services” website template under “Cloud Templates,” but I couldn’t find the corresponding menu bar or footer template.

What I will recommend to do on wordpress is to create a footer menu https://forum.tagdiv.com/main-menu/ after that use a cloud footer, this can be edited with tagDiv Composer and add a menu element to display the created menu elements for the footer – https://i.imgur.com/yCg3fT7.png

Can you please provide some more details about the situation you are facing with the tagDiv Composer?
This can be used on pages and cloud templates, so if the footer can not be edited with the theme builder, it means that you have not set a cloud footer template.

I checked the website and I see that you have the tagdiv mobile theme plugin enabled, but the lightspeed plugin cache that you are using do not have the cache option for mobile enabled. So it will deliver the mobile version on desktop. Also, do you want to have a different version on mobile, different from desktop and simple? If yes, then keep the mobile theme plugin, if no, then please disable and remove the plugin so the responsive version will be used.
The footer you have can be edited suing tagDiv Composer https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/ also, now I see that all elements have a hover color that is working.
Can you please provide an example for how you should like the time to be display? I will check and see what can be done.

You need to assign that footer cloud template as global, this can be done from more places, for example you can do this from the theme panel – https://i.imgur.com/8ZOd1On.png or from cloud templates – https://i.imgur.com/GQAWjdA.png also, make sure that the footer is not set only as individual on that page or cloud template.
The footer image can be edited using tagDiv Composer – https://i.imgur.com/Bept9jG.png select the footer row and check the css tab from there you can remove or replace the image – https://i.imgur.com/dXwS33R.png

on my website https://www.pignetotv.it i can’t edit my “single template(s)” anymore, i receive this message:
“Error at zones: 6(models): 5(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You cold try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z/CTRL+SHIFT+Z)”
No problem editing other “cloud templates” as header, footer, category, etc.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the theme but the problem persists.

To make sure I have a proper understanding, If I install the child theme, do I need to install the child theme on all of these: single Templates + Modules + Headers + Blocks + Category template + Category top post style + Footer template ? As explained in this page https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
If the plugin that we customized is the optin builder, is it related to child theme to install so that if I update the newspaper template, I don’t loose everytime all the code?
Maybe can I share with you the credentials of my website so you have a look at the customization done on the plugin optin builder and you tell me if child theme solves the issue of newspaper template update?

I think that this block is in footer section, if so then are 2 cases:
1. If you have a standard footer you need to change the footer template in the theme panel – https://i.imgur.com/K16Gkbj.png
2. If the footer is a cloud template you need to use tagDiv Composer to edit it.

I’m currently building my personal digital magazine site using Newspaper Theme 12 and I’ve run into a strange layout issue that I can’t seem to resolve on my own. I’d really appreciate any help or insight you can offer!
🔍 The Issue:
The footer and content on post pages appears misaligned to the left side — but only on:
Category pages
Single post pages
It renders perfectly fine and centered on:
The homepage
Custom static pages (like “Privacy Policy” “Join Syaz+,” etc.)
🧪 What I’ve Tried:
Zeroed out margin/padding via tagDiv Composer
Checked all footer row/column settings (full width, centered content, etc.)
Applied custom CSS (example below), but this affects global layout and causes issues elsewhere
Inspected with dev tools — the td-container inside .td-footer-wrapper seems to shift left on posts/categories
You may view the issues when visiting my site on an actual mobile phone, weird thing is: the issues doesn’t show up on the tagDiv Composer’s mobile view.

I noticed that when editing Footer templates, there’s an option to “Create mobile template”, but when editing Header templates, that option doesn’t appear.
Is this normal behavior? Or am I missing something in the settings?

If the issue appears on only one specific page, try restoring a previous version using WordPress revisions:

Also, check the Cloud Template used for the header and footer. If the issue lies in the Cloud Header or Footer, it could affect all pages that include those templates.

Since Sunday we are experiencing a weird issue in our site. If you check the url I attached you, looks like the problem comes from the new WordPress version and the Newspaper theme wich does not clean the css coming from Gutenberg editor:
✅ Main culprit: the WordPress core (block editor)
the Newspaper theme, which doesn’t properly override or disable it.
🧠 Why?
Since WordPress version 5.9 (and especially from 6.1 onwards), the block editor (Gutenberg) automatically injects CSS variables into :root and adds classes like .has-white-background-color, .has-black-border-color, .has-shadow–outlined, etc.
This is part of the global styles system from the block editor—even if you haven’t configured it intentionally.
🔍 What does the Newspaper theme do about it?
Newspaper doesn’t block these Gutenberg global styles like other themes do (for example, by disabling theme.json or the global style system).
It also doesn’t reset or sanitize the CSS to prevent those styles from leaking into the frontend, especially if you’re using custom HTML or manual templates.
As a result, you end up with styles that are invisible in the editor, but visibly affect the live site.
🧩 How can I be sure?
Because in the raw HTML of the page, I found this key variable:
–wp–preset–shadow–outlined: 6px 6px 0px -3px rgba(255, 255, 255, 1), 6px 6px rgba(0, 0, 0, 1);
