- NewsmagFooter templates
Hi,
We bought one more license of Newspaper theme since we already use it on our other website.
But we are facing a lot of problems with our 2nd website. Can you please help:
Issues:
1) Top menu’s drop down menu/submenu/categories are not showing. Eg- The review has sub-menu items, but is it not showing as a dropdown.
Also, we tried using header template 10, when we use it all the menu items disappear on-page. They come as white, but in tagDiv composer, they show properly. Hence had no choice but to go with this header template.
2) Search is not working.
3) When we try to edit the home page with tagDiv composer, we do not see the green overlay or any of the buttons to edit. We cannot edit it, we have tried adding some pre-loaded blocks, and also used the pre-built one. We are just not able to move the elements around.
4) We created another test page and added a grid block and saved it. That grid block suddenly started showing in the home page template as you can see o the website. We delete the page we created, yet we see the grid.
5) The images of the articles are not showing on the website, but they show in tag div composer.
6) We are not able to edit any of the footer templates with tag div composer from cloud templates. It just does not show the options to compare with tagDiv. The rest of the templates other than the footer show.
7) What should be the page attribute Template? default or page builder + Overlay menu?

Please help.
Hello,
If you referring to the search from your website seems to work well -> https://www.screencast.com/t/mq1dwnjkiRas
Also, for the footer I saw you have a standard template, for this please make sure you have activated the tagDiv Standard Pack plugin (from version 10.4, the tagDiv Standard Pack plugin is no longer required because the new demos are using cloud templates)
I’m sorry, but I don’t understand exactly what you mean by ” m– skipped all ADS – LOGO – LICENSE data”, Can you provide more details?\
Thank you!
Hello,
I’m sorry my information didn’t help you. All cloud templates can be edited with tagDiv Composer, but the footer template is a “special” template and it must be set on a page or post to be edited. This is how it was thought by our developers.
I made this video https://www.screencast.com/t/RIiMguPz that hope will help you.
For mobile header please make sure you have set it => https://www.screencast.com/t/CatmDmTt also if you can please send the link to your website.
If you have a mobile page, you can assign a global footer like this https://www.screencast.com/t/gnBHgveUGq
Thank you!
Hello,
This is my recommendation, as there is a possibility that you may use plugins or security plugins that are not tested with it and may interfere with the process.
Also, you can use the import/export option to bring back theme panel settings (this option will apply only the panel settings, will not apply on cloud templates).
Also, if your settings are missing, please make sure you have the tagDiv Standard pack plugin installed and active.
The theme doesn’t have the option to auto-update automatically, usually, the option is provided by your host, so you need to ask your host if the auto-update option is enabled or set it in your wp-config.php file.
For backup, you can check this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAJXrSI-dDA
Also, for the problem with the footer, please contact us at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the wp-admin and cPanel.
Please note that at the moment the support is a bit crowded. Replying may take up to 24 hours, and our schedule is Monday – Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM GMT+2.
Thank you!
Hello,
I saw you use standard templates for posts and footer, that is why you can’t edit with tagDiv Composer.
Also, your ads are not found, that is why not working => https://i.imgur.com/2uHIob7.png may need to be approved
Thank you!
Hi mixos,
I will tri to provide some more details.
First you need to check to see if you are using cloud templates -> https://i.imgur.com/7qcHcsv.png
If you use, identify the cloud templates that you edited and copy the content from them (one by one) from staging -> https://i.imgur.com/Wo4yp58.png and pasty it in the same cloud template type (header, footer, category..) in your live website.
Also if you edited pages on staging, then you need to do the same with them t get the changes on live website.
Now, after you did the above steps (in case that you use cloud templates, if you use standard templates you’ll not have cloud templates, so you can skip that part), you need to import the theme settings -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/ after that the website will have the same settings like the staging.
Also if you added new images, make sure that you add theme on the live website.
I hope this will help better!
Hello,
What type of prebuilt website did you install, pro or standard?
These changes apply for example only when you use the standard header/footer templates (and other standard templates) from Theme Panel (not a cloud template) => https://www.screencast.com/t/4gApdblBu8 -> https://www.screencast.com/t/m1vrJsvHM
You need to edit the page with tagDiv Composer to make changes, like in this is a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXQQygkCCJ
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
I’m having the same problem, and I think it happened when updating to 11.
Here is my site: https://www.thecountygin.com/
The header and footer cloud templates have completely disappeared. Also notice on the homepage the coding block that’s displaying:
[td_block_4 m2_el=”20″ m2_tl=”50″ limit=”2″ block_template_id=”td_block_template_1″ m2f_title_font_weight=”700″ offset=”1″]
Hi Bilecikfriends, we are sorry for the inconveniences, but please notice that we try to help all our customers, also we do not make difference between the customers that no longer have support and we try to help them to, even if this is contradictory with the support rules.

Now about this submenu, the mega menu is not displaying correctly, this it how it should look like -> https://i.imgur.com/fawv6jH.png not like this -> https://i.imgur.com/huLxLLd.png please do not set sub-menu under a mega menu -> https://i.imgur.com/DYtV7Fa.png -> https://i.imgur.com/yR1huKj.png, this will make it to look like thishttps://i.imgur.com/iFQ9SRk.png
Also for the problem with the logo from footer that do not have height and width, what you can do is to use a page as a footer or use a footer cloud templates, those can use the logo element and this have the option to set the height and width on logo image.
The avoid major layout shift is not affecting your website https://i.imgur.com/C0pKggD.png the CLS for that elements is 0.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
The footer template can be edited only from frontend, edit a page/post template with tagDiv Composer and go down to footer, or if you want to assign one, use the manager -> https://i.imgur.com/Q5PeHkp.png (the footer templates does not have the button to be edited in backend).
Let me know the result!
Hello, Bernd
You can use a footer template from Cloud Library, and you can customize it with tagDiv Composer => https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nE51MfLV7hE
The footer template does not have the button to be edited with tagDiv Composer in the backend, can be edited only from the frontend if it is assigned, edit a page/post template with tagDiv Composer and go down to the footer. => https://www.screencast.com/t/rpfNhfyrF that page can be private.
Also, if you use the standard footer from Theme Panel, you need to have the tagDiv Standard Pack plugin, from version 10.4, this plugin is no longer required because the new demos are using cloud templates.
Thank you!
Hello,
So, I understand you have created a mobile page, right?
For this please make sure you set it => https://www.screencast.com/t/bYroSq7x8T9, also, the header and footer are taken from the standard ones. All you have to do is edit the mobile page, and in Manager (Website Manager) you need to import or the easy way is to convert the existent footer like this => https://www.screencast.com/t/HrjOBNayd -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY (03:11 – Mobile Templates & Pages)
Thank you!

Hello!
The invalid reply from server endpoint was due to a glitch in our server. That should be working now.
The footer cannot be modified from theme panel like all the other templates. For the footer you can simply open it in any template. Go on your homepage, select edit with tagDiv Composer and you’re able to edit your footer.
Thank you!
Hello Anamaria,
Please help me one more time. I can not Add new Cloud Templates, shows “Invalid reply from server endpoint.“. It was loading perfectly before admin-ajax.php got fixed which blocking logo upload from tagDiv composer you know that.
Image link of the problem. Image link
I want to check other templates. Also now I am using Footer Template – London News PRO which is full of shortcodes. How can I edit this, there is no tagDiv composer edit option. Please tell me how to add a footer menu in this footer.

Hello,
If I understood correctly, you made a mobile page for the homepage, so please make sure you set it => https://www.screencast.com/t/bYroSq7x8T9, also, the header and footer are taken from the standard ones. All you have to do is edit the mobile page, and in Manager (Website Manager) you need to import or the easy way is to convert the existent header/footer like this => https://www.screencast.com/t/HrjOBNayd -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY (03:11 – Mobile Templates & Pages)
If you don’t mean this please give me more details, screenshots.

Hello,
Because you have installed a pro prebuilt website, it can only be edited with the tagDiv Composer. The header/footer templates are imported from the Cloud Library and can be modified with tagdiv Composer.
tagDiv Composer is a page and cloud builder, it can be used for pages and cloud templates.
If you want to use elements from Theme Panel, then you need to activate your tagDiv Standard Pack plugin and select “No template” =>https://www.screencast.com/t/1DHdVacPxL, and select what style do you want to use, but from the last update, this plugin is no longer required because the new demos are using cloud templates.
Theme panel elements are used for Standard Prebuilt Websites.
The settings made with tagDiv Composer are saved in the database.
1. If you want to continue with the header template from Cloud Library, then you need to edit the header with tagDiv Composer, like in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXQQygkCCJo
but if you want to use the header style from theme Panel, you need to add it in Header -> Logo and Favicon => https://www.screencast.com/t/KsoxbFGKiwL
2. To make the header full width, you need to remove the background color/image from Theme Panel => https://www.screencast.com/t/T5UG2dOo -> https://www.screencast.com/t/WZBA3fMl and disable the option “Background boxed layout” and after you can stretch the row after your needs -> https://i.imgur.com/WKYebPX.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/TO1BZ3M.png -> https://i.imgur.com/Yq8UCv3.jpg for header template from Cloud Library, for header style will be applied the settings from Theme Panel => https://www.screencast.com/t/gzS8A5YHmoP
3. If you to create your own header template, you can import a blank template from Cloud Library and design it with tagDiv Composer => https://www.screencast.com/t/wjvT8DrEm
You can find more tutorials on our channel on youtube =>https://www.youtube.com/user/tagdiv which can help you to design.
Hope that help you!
Thank you!
Hi,
I am having trouble with Mobile Pages after trying to update my theme from a older version. I have used the new custom header and footer functions and got them working successfully across the site on desktop. I have worked out how to create a mobile template to apply to all Category Pages, Posts and the Homepage. But I can’t work out how to apply a template to all other pages on mobile. Our site has six or seven existing Pages that we use. The new custom headers appear on the pages on desktop but don’t appear on mobile (I get an unedited version of the cloud template I imported).
The only way I can see to fix this is if I design all the pages individually with Tag Div and then import the content to separate mobile templates. As our pages were not designed with the Tag Div plugin the content won’t easily copy over so that will be a laborious process. Is there any easier way I can apply the new mobile header and footer to existing pages when on mobile without going through all this?
The testing site I have set up is at solidarity.asn.au
Hello. I am currently working on migrating my site to Newspaper 11. It has been shown that this requires some changes to my templates. For example, headers and footers are stored under “Cloud Templates” and the individual sub-pages under “Pages”.
What’s the safest way to broadcast this change to the live page?
Can I simply copy the number / letter code from the changed cloud templates into the existing cloud templates on the Livepage?
Is there a better way to bring all chagend Templates into the Live-Site?
Hello,
Seems you have a footer from Cloud Template, the background image need to be set with tagDiv Composer, on the row on the footer section in the tab called “CSS”=> https://www.screencast.com/t/icgswNVnEwOY
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
Hi, is there a way that we can lock the global header and block certain users from editing the footer?
We have many problems with especially new users to understand, that they can edit the footer from every page.
Problems occur especially here:
Header:
– New users have problems understanding that if you use an individual header on a page, that if you select it in the checkbox it will be made “global”
– New users have problems understanding that they don’t have to select “import-Header” to select this header.
Footer:
– it is very confusing, that we can not edit the footer in the cloud templates once it is created. We would love a possibility to edit the header ONLY in the cloud template – therefore it will be more secure for accidents happening on sub-pages. Is there any way to block the footer from being edited?
Thanks for your response.
I see that the footer is a Cloud Template, so I went to Cloud Templates -> “Footer – Magazine PRO” and edit it. The files has a shortcode structure, so all I need is a shortcode to be able to run a single line PHP script. Please advise,
There is no way to keep the old Global Header and Global footer (not cloud templates) and make the background full width ??
Hi
The ‘Add New’ button has stopped working in the Cloud Templates section of my site.
I need to add a new footer, but can’t due to this issue.
Please advise how it can be fixed?
Thank you
Steve.
