Hi,

1. There is no need to make other pages, all you need to do is to create a category and assign to this category posts.
All categories are using templates. You can use standard templates -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/default-category-settings/ or cloud templates -> https://tagdiv.com/what-is-the-cloud-library/ (cloud templates can be edited with tagDiv Composer)-> https://i.imgur.com/vxN8vG1.png -> https://i.imgur.com/XBAi1be.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/JvUnlLV.jpg
a) yes, on homepage you can display the articles from all categories.
b) yes, the category page will display only the articles that has assigned that category or are part from a subcategory from main category.
c) the featured category is just a filter that can be use to filter and order the articles, but if you are using standard templates and assign to one post this category, it will be hide(you can do this for any category using a custom css), you can check more in our guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
d) yes, an article can be part from as many categories you want, there is no limit or restriction.

2. If you are using cloud templates, please try like this -> https://i.imgur.com/XRj95Ae.jpg check if the logo is not set in a small column or inner column from row or inner row -> https://i.imgur.com/JBuAaxN.png in my can I have two option, to change to another layout or change the width in css tab -> https://i.imgur.com/lBVEdr9.jpg after that just change the logo with from here -> https://i.imgur.com/gq3GmWH.jpg or -> https://i.imgur.com/Vf4i9yG.jpg

3. Unfortunately on standard footer template you can not add a link on the About us title, you can add html link only inside the box for that section -> https://i.imgur.com/j4r9Ko8.png ->https://i.imgur.com/xPtwrMa.png or you can use a footer template and and set a custom html in title text area -> https://i.imgur.com/qGz6I7v.png

4. That is big grid full 4 and is made to look like that with a custom css -> https://i.imgur.com/f8lQNIW.jpg but if you installed this demo, then your posts should be already display in this grid on homepage.

5. That is the mega menu with sub-categories, you can create one using our guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/

6. As long as these block do not have set a filer per category, will be auto populate, but if you want, you can edit the elements that you do not like or you want to display other type of category or sort -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Hi,

The footer cloud template can be edited, but it must be set on a page or cloud template in order to be able to edit it, this was the way made by our developers, normal we all think that it should work as a normal template, but is look that the footer template has some elements that can be edited only when it is assigned on a page or cloud. This is the only way that it can be edited after you download it from cloud library.
Also now all cloud templates can be edited and assigned using the frontend and using this method is more ease to use the method for editing the footer template.

Thank you!

Hello,

I have imported the black pro demo and modified – however I am having trouble with the footer template – though i see them in cloud library and I can import and create a new one, I can not edit them from cloud library – I only get an edit link in them – and not an edit template link – there is also no option to use tagdiv composer from the edit page – even though the code is clearly tagdiv composer code. How can I use tagdiv composer to edit the foot templates ?

thanks

Hi there

I’m trying to edit the Footer Cloud Template – Animals PRO but instead of the friendly TagDiv Composer UI I just see a bunch of shortcodes.

All the other templates seem to work fine.

This is a clean local WP install with no plugins other than those required by the theme.

Please help.

Hi Magikb,

Usually “All Rights reserved” is set in the footer of website. If you are using PRO Demo you can do this using tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/nzqtMCq.jpg scroll down until the end and there you can add this on an existed element -> https://i.imgur.com/sOdP9KN.png or you can add the inline exited in other place and set your text -> https://i.imgur.com/T3VPy5Q.png -> https://i.imgur.com/o2LKB66.png
If you want you can check more in our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Hope this will help you!

Hi,

I would like to install the new Newspaper Lifestyle Pro Demo especially as my home page and I would like to use this theme’s header, footer, fonts and colors throughout the site. However I want my TagDiv Cloud Templates to remain in order to use with some future posts. I would also like to use my saved blocks in the TD Composer in the future.

Also I want to know if I need to install the slider for the Lifestyle Pro for the home page slides.

Please let me know if this is possible and the best way to do it.

Regards,
Sophia

Hi AlbertoJR, if you are using a classic footer and not a footer page or footer template, then you can set the footer links color only with custom css -> https://i.imgur.com/O3CLF4A.png
.footer-text-wrap .footer-email-wrap a {
color: #ef23ef;
}

The code need to be set in theme panel> custom code> custom css.
If you are using a footer page or footer template, then you can use tagDiv Composer to edit these sections (color links)-> https://i.imgur.com/bqxIref.png

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Hi Calin,

Yes, the Footer is a cloud template but why is it not editable with td composer? To create a footer as a page and edit it with td composer makes only limited sense because only cloud templates can be added to different pages as footers via td composer website manager. There is no way to add pages there.

Hi we have multiple newspaper X theme installs across 4 domains and have developed custom cloud templates on one of them…We want to move some of these header, single, and footer cloud templates to another install

Is there any easy way to transfer cloud templates across newspaper X installs?

Thanks!

Hi yudi budiman,

The thing is that cloud templates so not need to be edited with classic editor, only with tagDiv Composer, also the footer template is a special template and it can be edited only if it is assigned on some pages/templates for example, you can edit the homepage with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/FQx8XR2.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/6gp0Cxp.png -> https://i.imgur.com/VUcMQVG.png

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

I ran into the same issue. Had created my home page, header and footer and category templates and all worked fine. Then suddenly the composer stopped working – infinite loop in the middle of the page. My system settings show green (no issues found).

thanks in advance.

When I navigate to e.g. WP > cloud templates > blank footer template
Then I click once on the tagdiv composer button
the page just keeps loading, infinitely
we have theme Version: 10.3

Hey “Support” — Please don’t ask me to forward the login credentials to my site. Kindly ask me specific questions designed to troubleshoot the problem.

ALL I am trying to do is to simply add a footer to a small newspaper site. This should be a no-brainer.

I’ve followed to a tee, by now a dozen times, the explicit directions contained in the Newspaper documentation.

https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/

The first few times I followed those directions, the footers appeared. But when I attempted to select a footer template different from the prior one I selected, I not only lost the prior footer but control over use/placement of any footer — custom or template-based.

Anyone have any suggestions to resolve?

Hi,
I am trying to create a custom header using the template file header.php of my child newspaper theme.
The problem is that when I try to edit a page or a template (e.g a template footer) with tagdiv composer I get an error.

Error at zones: 6(models) : 2(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)

I need to be able create a custom header very fast without go through the tagdiv composer or customize cloud templates

So what I should do to prevent this error?

Thanks,

Hello, Vlad.
Thank you for the link.

By the way, I asked about the footer template of the classic-pro as the classic-pro is included in the demos. I purchased Newspaper to make a blog like the classic-pro easily. So I thought the styles shown in the demos must be provided with templates.
Though I could find several templates of the classic-pro from tagDiv Cloud Library, the footer template of the classic-pro was missing.

I am curious if the footer template of the classic-pro can be provided. Currently, the classic-pro demo cannot be completed with the templates from tagDiv Cloud Library.

Hope to hear from you.

I’m using the LifeNews Pro theme and the header and footers are having issues that are not being resolved by
– disabling all other plug-ins
– clearing cache
– following the instructions for updating “mobile” image.

FOOTER: When I import the LifeNews Pro footer – it doesn’t come in as editable. Instead, it imports “done” and states that its saved; however, when you exit out to view the template in the Cloud Templates area it shows as not editable. Additionally, when you try to edit the template the “Save” spinner keeps spinning.

HEADER: Pretty much the same issue. The header is editable (can use my header image) for everything other than mobile. When I SUCCESSFULLY get the header to change (using the details from this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXQQygkCCJo) – the “Save” spinner keeps spinning and the changes are not updated.

INSTAGRAM
The link to Instagram feature is also not working – it displays a
{“error_type”: “OAuthException”, “code”: 400, “error_message”: “Invalid scope field(s): basic”}

URL: https://www.instagram.com/oauth/authorize/?client_id=d6802e74a7dd4a6d80a6069b407d2f62&scope=basic&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Ftagdiv.com%2Ftd_instagram_api%2F%3Freturn_uri&response_type=token&hl=en

Hello.
I am setting up a blog using the classic-pro style.
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_classic_pro/#

I want to set up the footer just like the bottom of the classic-pro but could not find the footer template from the cloud, which includes the Instagram part and icons to SNSs. Can I ask this template to be uploaded in the cloud?

This solved a part of the problem!!

I have selected and adjusted a cloud template for my posts. When I click on ‘view’ the template looks great with the above mentioned way of importing the Cloud footer (https://citycampusdordrecht.com/wp-admin/post.php?post_id=268&td_action=tdc&tdbTemplateType=single&prev_url=%2F%2Fcitycampusdordrecht.com%2Fwp-admin%2Fedit.php%3Fpost_type%3Dtdb_templates)

Only when I make a new post OR change the post template of an existing post, the footer goes crazy again! (https://citycampusdordrecht.com/mini-mba/?preview_id=424&preview_nonce=d66947f19f&preview=true&_thumbnail_id=428)

The same goes for the ‘Category template 7’ (https://citycampusdordrecht.com/category/educations/) (don’t know where to find this one!).

Looking forward to your help!

Hello.

The option to “edit template” does not appear in All templates.

All other templates has the option to “edit” or “edit template”

All footer has only the option to edit.

How to fix this?

Best regards
