Hello emporioeventi,
Please keep in mind that the TD COmposer was fully tested with Newspaper 8 version and it seems to work as expected, without any problem. Please ensure that you have right installed the theme via FTP way and then if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of these and leave just only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins.
Thanks for your understanding!
hey catalin,

thanks,ipek gungor
Did you upgrade Visual Composer from the version included in the ‘all files’ download as per usual? You can’t upgrade VC via the WP panel, you need to delete old version via FTP and upload the new version to work with NP8.
So, you checked ALL your theme panel settings for errant items inserted into boxes?
You checked your database with either a dbase plugin or via phpMyAdmin in your hosting panel?
Delete all old themes and plugins not being used?
Checked your website via FTP for any errant plugins or files?
Checked your htaccess file for any weird redirects?
You changed all your passwords for hosting, site, superuser?
Made backup via phpMyAdmin of your MySQL dbase for safe keeping?
Only you can fix your site. Or hire somebody.
Good luck!
(I don’t work here.)
Hello ipekg89,
Please try to disable all of the untested plugins, leave just only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and check the results. If the problem is still there, you should make a full backup to your database and make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way with the latest theme version and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello SnakeEater,
First of all, you should make a full backup to your file to avoid any loss of information and then, you simply update your WordPress via FTP way. So, please notice that the child theme comes bundled with the Theme Packet and not depend on the WordPress version, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!

Hello dllakn,
This error can be caused by your untested plugins. First of all, try to disable all of these and leave just only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. Clear all the caches and check the results. If the problem is still there, you should make a new clean install from scratch, via FTP way and check the results.
Thanks.
Hello rodrigocouto,
Ensure that you are using the latest theme version which comes bundled with the theme core files. Check your system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ If you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of these and leave just only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. Also, if the problem is still there, you should make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way and install only the bundled plugin to rule out any conflicting plugins. If you are using a CDN system, you should purge all of the CDN files, clear all the caches and check the results.
Hope this helps!

@ Simion,
1. This is not an answer to my question. I did use the tutorial. I told you speedbooster is active and still Google keep giving me this Contact Form 7 render error. Why is that?
https://www.dagonline.nl/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/includes/css/styles.css?ver=4.9
2. Thanks.
3. Ok. Can i just delete them (safe them first), make them smaller en reupload them again via FTP with the same name?
Hello Emanuele Laurino,
First of all, ensure that you have right installed the latest version of the theme via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. Then, if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of them, leave just to active only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. Clear all the caches and check the results.

I’m having this same issue. I installed Newspaper 8.1 via FTP. My system status is all green and I have no other plugins enabled except Maintenance Mode, and I just get a white screen when trying to edit a page with tagDiv composer. I installed the composer plugin that came with the 8.1 zip as well. It’s just broken.
1. Go to “your site/wp-content/themes/newspaper” folder location and delete it (newspaper). Your content will not be lost, but please note that if you have modifications on the theme code they will be lost. You have to reapply them after the update is over.
2. Install theme via FTP: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
3. Check your system status parameters: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/

Hi,
Please update the theme using this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
The FTP method is the most recommended way of updating. Note that custom code you might have used in the previous version, might not work properly in this one. Some elements have been subject to change. Update the theme and remove any custom code from theme panel temporarily, do not modify the theme files after the update.
If you use a child theme, switch to the main theme. Code in this might need adjustments for the new version. Use the child theme provided in the new theme package.
Also in version 8 the tagDiv composer was introduced, this plugin is activated automatically when the theme is updated or installed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Deactivate the tagDiv composer plugin as this might affect some Visual composer elements on pages.
Thanks
Hello, niknas,
On the future, please do not copy/paste all the theme’s code here, as a text because it’s not okay for us and the others users which search such solutions through our forum, sorry! Regarding on your problem, please be more specific because I do not exactly understand what you mean. To be safe, you should make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way for that domain and install the latest theme version according to our useful manual, clear the caches and check the results. Notice that the entire theme’s code is the same and should not be any differences between two installs.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Scott,
I have tried to inspect your website and I saw that your website is under construction. Regarding on your above screenshots, I guess that your CSS of the theme it’s not loaded properly on your backend which can be caused by many factors. Also, if the problem is still there, you should try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way because this is the surest theme’s method in this case, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/ Clear all the caches and check the results.

Upload via FTP. Unzip on your PC, then upload folder – (when you unzip on your PC you can *see* what’s there BEFORE uploading!).
Remember to delete old folder; upload new one (don’t mix old/new theme folder).
