Hello Tagdiv Team,
In your theme as for ads section there are very few placement…. I want on post page after paragraph 2-3 ads…
1) I want to give condition to show ads after 3rd paragraph, after 6th paragraph and after 9th paragraph.
2) There is one header only… I want we to run header ads different on mobile and different on desktop so how I can manager that.
3) I want placement as above article, middle article, below article and above footer.
*** I want the option as for setting same placement differently for mobile and desktop devices.
Please help me as soon as possible
reply
I have added the file to the header without issues.
The instructions on google tag manager is to add a code in the <head> tag and another immediately after the opening tag <body>.
The issue re-occurs when I add the code to the body tag in line 23. https://www.screencast.com/t/leIn30u7O0T
This problem has returned after I inserted the Google Tag Manager code in my Theme Header and Footer via the theme panel.

Can I add different banners to the header? For example, can I use different header banners for Home, Category Page, and Single Page?
If not, is this plugin Ads Pro Plugin, compatible with Newspaper Theme?

I am going to create a child theme and install the GTM snippet in the header.php. My question is, I noticed two header.php files in the Newspaper theme:
1. header.php
2. mobile/header.php
To ensure that the GTM snippet is globally placed site-wide for all devices (Mobile/Tablet/Desktop…) do I need to place the GTM snippet in both header.php files?
Hello,
First of all I found the theme pretty awesome, congratulations on developing such a nice theme.
In order to add google tag managers codes in the header php do I need to do this on the child theme?
In case a child theme is necessary, can i use the plugin child theme configurator to clone the theme?
Also, the top menu won’t show on mobile version of the website, only on desktop version.
Thank you,
Lílian.
I think you misunderstood my post.
I am NOT USING the plug-in.
I have stopped using the “Google Tag Manager for WordPress Plugin.”
Instead of using a plug-in, I want to install the Google Tag Manager manually. It operates similar to Google Analytics.
https://developers.google.com/tag-manager/quickstart
It is SECOND most installed feature of Google’s Analytic Tool Suite. Being so popular and widely used, I was hoping there would already be a set and proven method to install with your theme.
For many, not using Google Tag Manager is not an option. It must be installed.
I was asking for the best method of modifying the CHILD THEME to added the needed Google Tag Manager Code Snippets.
It has these two requirements:
1. Paste some GTM code as high in the <head> of the page as possible.
2. Additionally, paste addtional GTM code immediately after the opening <body> tag
With that said, you are saying I should copy header.php to the child theme, and modify it there? Is that correct? Is that the best method? Is there another approach?
Thanks Bogdan but with this script dont work, not appear any image…
We are having problems with Simple Ads Manager only with Header Ads, this is the reason of try this other method.
Thanks
We are using Simple Ads Manager also, and it works fine. When we put the shortcode in any page this work properly. If we put the shortcode in some Theme Ad Places trought Theme Panel work fine. There are a problem when we put this shortcode in Header Ad Space, when charge the page Ad first appear but then disappear instantaly. Only have this problem.
Do you know any solution?
While searching on various other threads on the same topic, I noticed that there are ways to hide ads from the specific page using following code:
.postid-147 .td-a-rec, .postid-147 .td-g-rec{
display:none;
}
The result is here -> http://screencast.com/t/tz610oCpC
Notice : the .td-g-rec class is only for a Google Adsense AD and .td-a-rec for other ads.
Though, it is also discussed that to hide Adsense ads might go against Google’s policy. So, its better not to hide the ad but to stop ad placeholder from loading.
Bogdan was discussing something similar on how to remove ad placeholder from 404 pages on this thread: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-not-have-header-ads-on-certain-posts/#post-123574
Isn’t their any way to simply remove all ad placeholder from loading on any specific post? Please give a try to a solution for this.
You can very well notice that this issue is being faced by all of us, no matter whether they are aware of it or not.
I also noticed that many times, in other threads, it was advised to install any other plugins like Adrotate or QUAD.
I have a simple response on this. When we already have such a robust ad management system in-built in our theme, why should I use a new plugin for it? Shouldn’t we always try to keep numbers of plugins as low possible?
The ad-slots under TagDiv theme Ad manager is ( by default) built by taking Adsense into the consideration. Even Adsense examples are mentioned there, then why shouldn’t we try to improve its functionality rather than telling to use a new plugin?
I know that not everything can be integrated into a theme but if you do have such function. Please try to perfect it in future updates.
Just to give an example. There is a very popular theme on Themeforest called “BIMBER,” the developer didn’t want to work on ad section of the theme so, they collaborated with QUAD team and added the seamless ad-management system with this plugin.
But, since here we already have a very robust ad management option, we must try to make it fully worth of having it.
Hope you guys understand.
Love for TagDiv.

CHROME 56 HTTP WARNING NEWSPAPER THEME AND HOW TO FIX IT
All, here is a complete summary of the conversation in Google Webmaster Forums that you can use to help fix this error.
[Newspaper team, you should address this in your next release as this is a very bad user experience.]
Google is sending Newspaper theme owners a warning email that your HTTP website is collecting passwords or credit card information, EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT. Because of this, the new Chrome 56 version will warn users that your website is NOT secure!
It’s happening because of the way Newspaper keeps code on the page for the “Header > Top Bar > Show Sign In/Join” option in the theme settings, regardless of whether or not you’re even using the feature. if you look at your page source and search for “password” and “login” you’ll see what I mean, probably 40+ matches between those two terms.
If you are not using this feature you can fix the problem by editing the file /wp-content/themes/Newspaper/parts/header/td-login-modal.php and completely gutting it… this is all that’s left in that file now:
<?php
// removed due to google "Non-Secure Collection of Passwords will trigger warnings in Chrome 56"
?>
Everything still works perfectly but no more login/password code hiding in the source. Plus an added bonus of reducing page size :)The cause is hidden code in the NewsPaper theme that Google found that uses the words “password” and “credit card.”
INSTRUCTIONS: FOR HTTP WEBSITE NEWSPAPER THEME OWNERS. IF YOU ARE NOT COLLECTING ANY PASSWORD OR CREDIT CARD DATA YOU WILL HAVE TO EDIT THE FOLLOWING FILES OTHERWISE YOUR SITE WILL BE MARKED WITH A WARNING IN THE NEW VERSION OF CHROME!
Thanks to James Bassdrop in the Google forums the following fix works to remove the hidden code:
1. Access the following file via your website hosting File manager (I use BlueHost): /wp-content/themes/Newspaper/parts/header/td-login-modal.php
2. Delete all the code in this file and replace with the following:
<?php
// removed due to google "Non-Secure Collection of Passwords will trigger warnings in Chrome 56"
?>
3. Save the file.
4. Access the following file:
/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_js_generator.php
5. Comment out these 3 lines near the top. Comment out means to place the two slashes as seen below in front of the lines with a space between the slashes and the “td…”:
// td_js_buffer::add_variable('td_email_user_pass_incorrect', __td('User or password incorrect!', TD_THEME_NAME));
// td_js_buffer::add_variable('td_email_user_incorrect', __td('Email or username incorrect!', TD_THEME_NAME));
// td_js_buffer::add_variable('td_email_incorrect', __td('Email incorrect!', TD_THEME_NAME));
6. Save the file.
NOTE: EACH TIME THE CORE NEWSPAPER THEME IS UPDATED YOU WILL HAVE TO MAKE THESE EDITS NEWSPAPER TEAM – A FIX WOULD BE AWESOME!
THANK YOU
Hi Bogdand,
Thanks for helping me 🙂
Problem is…I just dont get it.
So I did this:
Went to cpanel – file manager, edited header style 1. added this code right at the end.
<?php
if(is_home() || is_front_page()){
echo do_shortcode(‘[rev_slider alias=”fullsite-block-1″]’);
}
?>
saved.
Refreshed site – homepage is blank.
What am I doing wrong? This is so frustrating…

Hi,
You must be using some kind of custom add manager that causes this, normally in Header style 9 – https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/ the header add is located beneath the menu, but you could change it’s location (assuming you have a header add code placed in Theme panel->Ads->Header add) by modifying header-style-9.php from the the theme files like this – http://screencast.com/t/8GMPckXe335D
Example with add between top bar and logo – http://screencast.com/t/IHTw92Sm9MN the code looks like this – http://screencast.com/t/tXEaT2ljGO4F
Example with add between logo and header menu – http://screencast.com/t/keEBZQX0J4jO the code looks like this – http://screencast.com/t/JaNTkBda8
Thanks
Hi guys I am Vijay Kumar. I am a SEO exper with over 5 years of experience. Here on the I found some serious issues with the schema.org code, need to be modified.
- http://bit.ly/2gPK3cM
here at the URL you can see the breadcrumbs showing govtjobmela.com>>Home>>Job by Qualification>>10thBut it should show like govtjobmela.com>>Job by qualification>>10th
- Add the schema.org code for the theme for following objects.
webpage, organization, comments, author, site navigation, blog posting, creative work, improve breadcrumbs schema, site search etc… - Add header,footer, body open and body close place holders in theme options panel so users can put some other analytics code in there EX:Google Tag manager codes
For now please make these improvements and I’ll let you know if anything need to be modified…
I am a big fan of Tag Div and News Paper theme. Hope you will update the theme
Thank You!
Hi,
I am using a plugin, the DFP – Doubleclick Ad Manager by Chris W. Gerber. It works well on two of my sites in body and sidebars, though not in the header (I am using a header style without ads so I don’t care). The import feature doesn’t work but I think only one line of code needs to be changed to make it work (seems to be a character in the beginning that is wrong). I added my ad slots manually, no problem.
I don’t know about resizing because I don’t use 728×90 on mobile.
BR, Walther
How would I place Google Translate into Newsmag somewhere in the top area for all pages and posts for desktop and mobile?
With mobile being very important. Most foreign visitors are over mobile
https://translate.google.com/manager/website/
I tried different things to get to fit in, but none of them worked.
It needs to be in the top so people can see it, and it needs to appear on every page.
Hi, I’ve been able to add the Linkedin button on the header of my posts, and now I want to add it also in the post bottom Share buttons.
https://projectmanagers.org/pressures-project-manager/
I only need to know in which file are these bottom Share buttons?
Hello themesic,
The DoubleClick ads aren’t recognized by theme’s ad system and the code is rendered as it is. The theme only works using google Adsense ad codes: https://forum.tagdiv.com/ads/ … for another type of ads you can either use wp text widget or a plugin like Simple Ads Manager or AdRotate to render the code then use theme’s ad spots. For more references about this regard, you can consult this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-responsive-ads-with-google-dfp/
Also, if you want to paste your tag in the mobile version in the header section, you will have to check the header.php core file from the mobile section, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/kfBP1X4Ds
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello,
I could use the help of our community with schema.org. I run clean SEO on my website and I realized that my site just not performs and got kicked out of the rankings. Since I am employed as a SEO Manager, I analyzed the schema.org codes and realized that the structure of the newsmag theme is not easy to understand.
I think this issues is really important for everybody who is using the theme. A good, clean (seo)-site struture is important in our time!
Basically I want to change:
header.php
index.php
single.php
page.php
footer.php
sidebar.php
Sounds simple at the beginning. So, my goal is that searchengines should understand our pages better.
This article has a simple instructions, but when I looked at our Theme … just stopped by.
This is the article: http://www.bloggingspell.com/add-schema-org-markup-wordpress/

Hello zunigafelipe,
The DoubleClick ads aren’t recognized by theme’s ad system and the code is rendered as it is.
Hello there,
I had an advert in my header using the theme panel – it had the format [uam_ad id=”17250″]. I was using the plugin Ultimate Adverts Manager and it was working perfectly. I just updated the plugin and the header has disappeared! I have contacted support with the plugin providers, but I was checking if there’s something the theme doesn’t support? Should I be putting an execute code instead?
Thanks in advance,
Farrah Gillani
