hi team,
i have some troubles with the tagdiv composer after an upgrade von 12.2 to 12.6.1.
TagDiv Composer
Ajax error
An error occurred and we could not finish the process.
Please manually update the plugins."
Maybe its my php version 7.3.33 (which isn’t updatable at the moment) or something other.
After upgrade my page goes to in wordpress recovery mode and reported an issue with tagdiv composer.

Hello,
A workaround to achieve that you want is to duplicate the header template and assign the
header template for each page where you want to have a different menu.
The same steps are for all templates -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-add-different-sidebare-for-different-posts-with-the-same-category/
Thank you!
Hi,
I’m trying to set up a DIFFERENT header background image for each category but I can’t.
I use the category TEMPLATE 22 NOMADE.
I cannot have the same header for all the categories as it is a travel website with different destinations.
For example: I cannot have france themed header image for the NYC category, if that makes sense.
I manually added the template for each category in the theme panel too but it still shows the same image for all my categories.
Let me know how I can fix it please.
Thank you
Hello Rahul!
It seems that you have a sticky header. Please follow the video to see where you can find and build your sticky header on mobile and desktop too: https://www.screencast.com/t/l6v2Belt
We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.
Delete all the cache and see the results.
Thank you!
Hello,
For menu, you can use the elements Header main menu https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/ and list menu, or if you want you can use also, the modal popup -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/modal-popup/

Dear Tag Div Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I recently purchased and installed your NEWSPAPER 12 WordPress theme, and for the most part, I’ve been extremely pleased with its performance and customization options. However, I have encountered an issue that I need assistance with.
The problem I am facing is related to the display of post pages. While the majority of my website is working perfectly, I have noticed that some post pages are rendering differently, particularly with changes in the header section, including the logo.
Here are the specific issues I’ve encountered:
Inconsistent Logo Display: On certain post pages, the logo in the header section appears differently than on the rest of the website. It either changes in size, or alignment, or sometimes even the image itself seems to be replaced with a default logo.
Header Section Elements: In addition to the logo inconsistency, I’ve observed that other elements in the header section, such as navigation menus or the site title, may also behave strangely on these post pages.
I have thoroughly reviewed my theme settings and customization options, but I have been unable to identify a solution to this issue. It appears to be specific to post pages, as the homepage and other pages remain unaffected.
Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this issue and ensure a consistent appearance throughout my website, especially on post pages?

Dear Tagdiv,
is it possible to have header menu rounded?
Currently the menu is square.
Hi
When I press this icon, a search form appears. I want the form to show Google Search via HTML Element.
How do I do this?

Hi Bettina,
Can you look a little deeper into this?
1. Yes I understand the child theme is not overwritten, I’m asking for guidance about why we would get a critical error from this line of code in it’s header.php – perhaps related to #2? It is related to general issue of the update breaking the site, child theme or not.
This is the code:
/*
* loads the header template set in Theme Panel -> Header area
* the template files are located in ../parts/header
*/
td_api_header_style::_helper_show_header();
This is the error:
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class “td_util” not found in /srv/htdocs/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp-booster/wp-admin/tagdiv-view-header.php:19 Stack trace: #0 /srv/htdocs/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp-booster/wp-admin/tagdiv-view-theme-plugins.php(59): require_once() #1 /srv/htdocs/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp-booster/tagdiv-wp-booster-functions.php(499): require_once(‘/srv/htdocs/wp-…’) #2 /wordpress/core/6.3.1/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(310): {closure}(”) #3 /wordpress/core/6.3.1/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(334): WP_Hook->apply_filters(”, Array) #4 /wordpress/core/6.3.1/wp-includes/plugin.php(517): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #5 /wordpress/core/6.3.1/wp-admin/admin.php(259): do_action(‘newspaper_page_…’) #6 {main} thrown in /srv/htdocs/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp-booster/wp-admin/tagdiv-view-header.php on line 19
#2. We have all dependent plugins. Below is what the shortcodes look like that are appaering everywhere – they look related to the composer, which we have installed & activated, and the new version from the theme update. My theory is that because we are making such a jump in theme versions, we’re missing one of the intermediate updates that performed some sort of action that converted them in td composer during a previous update. Can you please ask your dev team?

I have created menu left and menu right in WP.
I have a row in the header with x3 columns.
How do i insert menu left and menu right into the respective columns plse?

tagDiv composer does not give permission to add custom banner area above logo or existing header.
I use Header and Footers plugin and can add masthead banner to the desktop site.
I cannot achive that for mobile. i am using mobile theme not AMP+mobile or mobile.

Hello,
Please go to the theme panel -> Header -> mobile header and check if you have this option enabled https://i.imgur.com/IM76Hhv.png if yes, disable it.
Thank you!
No not this time… usually yes, it’s often about update, active plugins after updating theme,
but here it literally removed all templates… header, footer, event the home page is not recognising some tb_blocks…
they’ve been wiped out …
even after DB restore from yesterday, when everything was right…
I’m gonna try to get the files backup to restore the old plugins as well, plus yesterday’s db…
any help from support is welcome !
Hi – I am hoping that I can change the header image in my articles (posts), but I cannot find where to do it in the Theme panel. Please reply with instructions or a link to the documentation. Thank you
Details:
Choose any article on the site, such as this one.
https://piracymonitor.org/londoners-sign-up-for-free-tv-for-life-actually-an-anti-piracy-campaign-similar-to-one-in-brazil-in-2022/
See at the top of the page, between the top menu and the main menu, there is a logo (Piracy Monitor) on a black background. I would like to put images in place of the black background.
In the same layout as I have on my site’s Home page
https://piracymonitor.org
Optional: Can Newsmag cycle through a directory of images, so a different image is displayed in that location, each time a post is requested?
Thank you.
Hello,
I just updated to Tagdiv 12.6.1 (from 12.6) + plugins, and all custom template Header dans footer disappeared !
I tried to backup a older DB, but still doesn’t come back, and I don’t have old plugin (Tagdiv plugins) versions anymore…
EDIT : Solved, the Standard pack has been removed on theme update, I missed that one… nut wold be easier if the optional plugins were not removed…
Hi,
I’ve seen Anamaria’s response to multiple people with this problem:
“You can to add the favicon, in Theme Panel -> Header -> Logo and Favicon => https://www.screencast.com/t/H4ucPC2wwz
Also, on the homepage there’s an option Customize icon => https://www.screencast.com/t/I2uVvP4b -> Site identity -> Site icon -> Change image -> publish => https://www.screencast.com/t/lY9WEOZEj
Also, you can check this article https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/appearance/favicon-in-search”
Our favicon is already in these places though, yet in google search it is not displaying. Website is http://www.rareparenting.com. Any ideas? Note the tagdiv support is still an admin if you need to look inside. Thank you!
Hello!
I purchased the theme and installed it correctly. I also activated it and downloaded the required plugins.
But after I installed the required demo version of the theme, all of the settings for the theme do not appear for me in the Theme Panel section. For example, I want to hide the top menu, but this option does not appear in the Header section, and also only one Header style appears for me in the same section.
I have attached two pictures to illustrate the problem.

Please help as soon as possible.
Thanks
We recently faced a malware issue on our website due to the documented vulnerabilities with this theme/dependent plugins. In an attempt to resolve this, we updated our theme (8.7.3) to the latest version. We encountered the following issues:
1. Child Theme Error: Our child theme is throwing a critical error related to the td_api_header_style::_helper_show_header(); function. This appears to be depreciated or no longer supported in the latest version of the theme, and the error prevents the site from loading at all
2. Parent Theme Shortcode Issue: Even when reverting to the parent theme, we noticed that shortcodes are visible all over the website as seen here on this staging site running the latest version of the parent theme.
Could you please assist us in resolving these 2 issues as soon as possible? We’re at a standstill until this is fixed.
My intuition is that because we are jumping from version 8.7.3 to the latest version, we’re missing some conversion that happened with how the shortcodes are handled – perhaps the update needs to be done in steps?
We can provide full access to a staging site if needed
ok, SOLUTION TEMPORARY FOR EVERY ONE – disable the sticky menu in tagdiv Manager (header), make the row that contain the top menù STICKY – TOP from tag div editor (ROW- GENERAL) and that is seems to work.PS and some css that i’ve found but no one told me that was there

Hi Anamaria,
Thank you for coming back to me. I’m still having an issue. I’m able to import the xml file and it is importing templates such as Header Template, Footer Template, 404 Templates, etc (see screenshot attached https://imgur.com/a/oNUWKeq) but not the Homepage.
It is this customized homepage (with blocks/fonts/colours) that I need to import to the updated staging site. Am I missing a step or is there a workaround?
Thanks for your help.
Hello,
as a quick solution will be to use a css to no remove the possibility to click on link. For this please add this custom css to Newspaper > Theme Panel > Custom code> Csutom css
.post header .td-post-author-name a {
pointer-events: none;
}
Another possibility is to use Yoast seo and enable the author archive
I hope this will help you!
Thank you!
We have been trying the ad box option. I can get everything to work except the mobile. When I add the box to the mobile and link it to our header ad, it turns off the desktop, and tablet ads. And will only show the mobile. This is kind of where we are stuck. Not sure why adding the ad to mobile shuts the others off.
