1. Can I import part of the Newspaper 9 theme into another word press theme called Avada in an existing website after I purchase another license? Spent months building a website from Avada, which I like as the Menu headers are costume, but for Articles features only, I’d like to integrate Newspaper 9 into Avada on either separate pages or separate pages with partial access through Main page???
2. I am almost done building Newspaper 9 into a new website, when finished, can I buy another license and use this exact design to import on another website in its entirety with exact format?
Hi
The child theme functionality has been broken since the update of the core for the Envato WordPress requirements. Can you please fix this? You can search fo “child” in the comments in the link below to see that a number of us depend on child themes for customization. I have pasted an excerpt from those comments below, in which I was advised to contact support.
Thanks

Ted Slater June 17, 2019 at 6:50 pm
That doesn’t seem to be true, Catalin. Envato requires that the child theme “Consist of style.css, functions.php and screenshot.png files at a minimum” … but you’re not *disallowed* from including/supporting other files in the child theme.
Seriously, if you stop supporting child themes — where we can edit the single.php (or loop-single.php) file (for example), that decision will mark the day that Newspaper starts going downhill as a theme.
On https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000480723 Envato references https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/ … which says, “any file you add to your child theme will overwrite the same file in the parent theme” … but with the current version of your theme, this doesn’t work. Adding (and tweaking) the theme’s header.php file to the child theme does nothing.
BECAUSE YOU BROKEN THE CHILD THEME FUNCTIONALITY.
Your statement that “Envato … requires all functionality to be added through plugins” is, to be direct, false. Stop lying to us and once again provide full support for child themes. For the sake of your business, as well as ours.

Hi Ted,
Sorry for the inconvenience but please note that since theme update 9.7 most of the theme files have been moved in the tagDiv Composer plugin, as you can see in our informative article. Now, the child theme is limited to just a few files. This is a consequence of the recent modifications to the location of theme files, due to Envato requirements, sorry! Moving forward with such requirements, a child theme will only work with functions.php, and style.css, as there are very few files left in the main theme as Envato, requires all functionality to be added through plugins. The child theme inherits the look and feels of the parent theme and all of its functions. Where all the functionalities of the theme have been added into a plugin, the child theme no longer has what to get from the parent theme, sorry! The child theme is not a “child plugin”.
Thank you for your understanding!
Best regards!

I have to say I agree with Ted Slater’s comments. I didn’t research your claims, but it does seem unlikely that Envato would require theme developers to disable the Child theme functionality. Please find a solution so that the Child theme will function as it should.
Catalin L.Catalin L. June 26, 2019 at 8:11 am
Hi,
According to Envato Requirements, the child theme is not mandatory to be offered. Also, if this is provided by the theme author, must be checked the following requirements, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/JkRUP9LI -> https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000480723-WordPress-Theme-Feature-Requirements#h_5966589781211522283728890 which are valid.
Thank you for your understanding!
AvatarK.Y. June 30, 2019 at 5:31 pm
Hi Catalin,
You may not be required to supply a child theme but that does not mean it is acceptable to break the functionality should your users choose to use one.
Please see – https://forums.envato.com/t/is-child-theme-functionality-obsolete-with-the-new-theme-requirements/244151
“Envato requirements have no negative effect over child themes, quite opposite, they encourage you to follow the best standards which makes customization via a child theme much more easier as a result.”
It seems that you have completely misunderstood the Envato requirements.
Using child themes is a standard practice and a best practice that WP users rely on. Please find a solution so that the child theme will function as it should.

Hi,
Thank you for your interest in our theme. Unfortunately, the blog is not assigned to the support team. For support, please open a new topic on forum.tagdiv.com / http://forum.tagdiv.com/forum/newspaper/ and provide all the details. Our expert team is ready to assist you ASAP.

Hi,
If the ads are in pages you can edit the page and remove the ads.
If the ads are in widget sidebars in posts and pages, maybe create sidebars without ads and set them.
If the ads are in the post content (top, inline or bottom ad spots) the theme does not have settings for specific posts. All it has are general settings to hide them per device
– https://www.screencast.com/t/g6L9YSkB
Hiding them with CSS is permitted by Google when using media queries
– https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/6307124?hl=en
Setting a display:none without media queries is forbidden by Google
– https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/1354736?hl=en
For header ads you can use two header templates, ( both from tagDiv Cloud library, or only one with out ads ), you need to have set a global header for all pages/post and an individual one on the pages where you do not want to have the ads.
Take the Tour to Explore the New Header Manager -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-customize-the-header-manager/
What you can do is to set a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library with out ads and make a copy of this template and set ads in it for the post were you want to have ads ( the ads in single post template can be set using tagDiv Composer -> https://www.screencast.com/t/dYEh4nIv you can set as many ads you want using the ad box -> https://www.screencast.com/t/IiAlsDAT -> https://www.screencast.com/t/7ua8g3oti).
Maybe use a plugin such as Adrotate to better manage the ads in the website. There are many theme users that recommend this plugin. I believe it has settings for what you have to do per specific posts.
Some more about it here if you should consider it
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-manage-ads-in-wordpress-with-adrotate-plugin/
– https://ajdg.solutions/manuals/adrotate-manuals/
Thank you!
Hi,
Please check our documentation for header style -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/ you can use a full logo only on header style 9/10/11
Thank you!
Hi,
You can always create new topics in the forum, we will try to help as best we can and as soon as possible.
1. If you mean the user registration, that is not enabled for the live demos. There would be no point to allow visitors to create accounts in a demo website.
If you would like to provide the user registration (membership) for your website, you can do so in the WordPress general settings – http://prntscr.com/o8v8qb then WordPress will allow visitors to create accounts – http://prntscr.com/o8v92k and the theme will display it as well – http://prntscr.com/o8v9h2
The theme login modal window will display the same information from the default WordPress login screen. It is basically the same screen and functionality but with some style added.
2. That is how the mobile theme works. The mobile version of pages will not be the same as the desktop version. This is explained in the guide – https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
So while the desktop page can be built with the composer, and contain blocks, grids etc. the mobile version is limited to the mobile editor – http://prntscr.com/o8vbaq
If a page contains no content in the mobile editor, on phones it will be empty when the mobile theme is active.
The homepage on mobile displays a top grid with featured posts
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
Then there will be a latest articles section. If you enter content in the mobile editor for the homepage, it will be displayed between those 2 sections.
If you want to see see how the mobile theme looks and works, please check this demo with a phone, it has the plugin active – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_local_news/
Displaying a slider in mobile pages is possible, you can enter the slider shortcode in the mobile editor, similar topic here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/i-want-to-put-silder-revolution-logo-carousel-in-mobile-theme/
3. It is possible to create the mobile menu, but only if the mobile theme is disabled. Using cloud templates it is possible to design the desktop and mobile headers. These are templates built by us that can be imported and modified if needed
– https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Headers
You can also build your own using a blank header template – http://prntscr.com/o8vge6
Here are some articles – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-customize-the-header-manager/
– https://tagdiv.com/header-main-menu-newspaper-theme/
And a guide about the cloud plugin – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
If you have more questions, or if I misunderstood something, let me know.
Thanks
Hi, how do I hide header ads on my about us, terms and conditions, privacy policy, 404, and basically, every other page that doesn’t require ads? My website is http://www.overklass.com
Hi, I try to use a full width logo on my “in construction” website : https://www.gogin.eu/gogin_new/
Before to go in the Header Editor (wich means a learning curve to master this interesting tool), I’ve tried to use the CSS tweak i found in your forum
.td-header-sp-logo img{
width: 1069px;
}
But the result is deeply pixelated
My logo is 1069×197 (96dpi)
1069 is the exact width I calculated to see the logo aligned with left and right limits of the page.
Hi I have 3 questions Please, with Regard to the Newspaper 9 Politics Theme That I would like very straight answers as I have spent over 1 week and lots of money just to figure this out.
1. All available theme options do not have a Subscribe option on Top Bar, only join. Same issue with the 40 available header themes, all have a search bar opposite of menu options, no subscribe version. I have spent over 50 hours just trying to figure out this header, top bar with logo issue. I hired a wordpress guru, paid a lot more than theme and worpress pro said, the Mobile plug in has issues that is creates, and it need be deactivated, which we did to sold problem 2.
2. Slider would only show on Destop and not on mobile version of phone, after 20 hours of trying everything, we deactivated the mobile Tagdiv plugin, than it showed in the mobile view by creating a new blank header template. What is wrong here???
3. What I want to accomplish is very simple. A. For Mobile Menu, to show a title in middle, left a menu icon and right a subscribe bottom, Logo below that, than slider below the logo, than the news, just like the and I don’t know if a top bar will show on Mobile Menu? For Destop Top bar that has date, subribe, a title, donate botton, etc, than the logo, than the menu below that, than the slider than the news. Exactly like the website below called epoch times, minus the dont have a slider. I want every page to look like that, except front home page to have a slider, my questions 1 and 2, or problems 1 and 2 are causing this problem.
here is the website I’d like to show you as an example how Id like to have the theme work https://www.theepochtimes.com/
Here is the Demo Theme https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_politics/
Please clarify, I wanted to buy this theme for 3 of my websites. Now I am almost going to through out Newspaper 9 as it seems not to work
Hello !
This issue appears due to your logo being .PNG without background and your header background is black. You can change the background color and the dots color and everything should work perfect.
Please let me know how it worked out !
Thank you !
Hi,
Is possible that in coming update to be includes some new elements in tagDiv Cloud Library, but I can not say if there will be a footer page that will to match the header template 12.
If you like the Header template 12 from tagDiv Cloud Library and you can not find a matching footer page, you can chose one that you like and edit it using tagDiv Composer or you can create a new page how you want, with the style, color and layout you want.
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/u0BJ0sNgU
Thank you!

Hi,
1)Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option that allows you to add something like this from the theme panel, sorry! If you want to achieve something like this, you will need to use such a custom CSS code to add the background image to your header section. As a hint, you can try using the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/uviJwnLxP
.td-header-header{
margin-top:5px;
background-image: url(http://192.168.0.178/Spitzu/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/p3.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-size: cover;
background-position: center center;
}
2)I need your website URL so I can take a closer look over that section and also, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thank you!
Hi
You can change the header style with style 3 for example -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/ or you can use the header manager, get a header template from tagDiv Cloud Literary and edit it after your needs https://tagdiv.com/header-main-menu-newspaper-theme/
Thank you!
Hello. I want to remove the header ads showing on a 404 page. I can’t find any settings on the panel and wondering if I can do it backend. Also, I would like to change the articles showing on the 404 page. Instead of the latest articles, I want to show the articles from a certain category.
Hi,
I really like the Newspaper header in the Cloud library (https://cloud.tagdiv.com/header-template-12/), the colors in particular, however there’s no corresponding matching Newspaper footer template.
Would it be possible to have one of your developers create this, and post it to the Cloud library?
Am hoping this is a pretty easy exercise for you experts! 😉
Regards,
-Craig
Hello, I want to use the header search to the left of the site, but it is not working properly as the box appears out of screen in smaller screens, how do i make the box appear to the left of the icon?

Hi – Two questions actually…
1) How do I place an image in the header section, “behind” my logo and banner ads?
2) How can I place text in an image box, so that the image box can be used as a page title?
See screen shot: https://ibb.co/RTr80Z1
Here is the link: https://dharmadispatch.in/deewaar-the-classic-cinematic-textbook-celebrating-the-worst-of-nehruvian-secularism-and-communism-part-1/
Please see the black border just below the Header Ad and above the featured image.
Thanks!
Hi.
no, it is not the main header i need to change, but the area under the breadcrumbs. Have a look to this: https://www.screencast.com/t/TmPbdnsQl
Is where the category title is displayed.
Let me know, please.

Hello,
I’ve been a long customer of your excellent theme. I was customizing the single post template. For some reason, a black border has been applied randomly and I can’t get rid of it instead of trying many times. Please see the screenshot. The black border is below the Header Google ad and above the featured image of the post. How to resolve it?
Hi,
1. If you are referring to the AMP analytics field provided in the mobile theme section, the code has to be of this form – http://prntscr.com/o7avde
So if your initial code looks like this – http://prntscr.com/o7axbr enter just the highlighted part of the code, it should work fine.
2. No need to enter the header script code, it will be added automatically. Simply enter the AMP auto ads code in the provided section. Example – http://prntscr.com/o7ayvx
The ads should appear after a while.
Thanks
Hi,
You could try loading your own fonts in the theme panel and disable Google fonts in the theme, from what I can find online that might work. Or maybe load them in the theme header directly (with CSS font-face or import) and then apply them as well with CSS.
Here are some resources I found online, maybe they are helpful
– https://coffeencoding.com/load-google-fonts-5x-faster-in-wordpress/
– https://stackoverflow.com/questions/54277912/ensure-text-remains-visible-during-webfont-load-not-getting-resolved-in-google-p
– https://css-tricks.com/snippets/css/using-font-face/
– https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2016/02/font-display

Hi,
You can change the title for the latest articles section, in it’s settings. Edit the respective page with the composer and access the page settings
– http://prntscr.com/o799e5 – http://prntscr.com/o799h4
The business demo contains a customization for all the block titles, the top line that you mention is one of them. By default that block header template (template 11) looks like this
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-header-11/
I can provide a code that will make it look like in the demo. First you must use block header template 11, then enter this code in the Theme panel custom CSS section
.td_block_template_11 .td-block-title:after {
height: 1px;
}
.td_block_template_11 .td-block-title:before {
display: none;
}
So for example, set the template in the theme panel – http://prntscr.com/o7a1id
Then enter the code, and the result will be as in the demo – http://prntscr.com/o7a1ri
If you have more questions, let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
If you want to remove/hide the sticky menu, you need to edit the header template with tagDiv Composer, click on the sticky menu, click on the css tab -> https://www.screencast.com/t/T3TJ2hvJlD and check the display option, set it on hidden -> https://www.screencast.com/t/D57O79FFainD save the template and clear all cache.
Hope this will help you!
Thanks.
Hello !
In order to make the site full width you have to select every row of your page using the tagDiv Composer and then set the stretch mode you want like here : https://www.screencast.com/t/BkWwdHh6
In order to make the post page full width you will have to add a single post template and then edit it. Check more about how to have single post template here: https://tagdiv.com/customize-articles-with-single-post-templates/ And for the header you can do it here: https://www.screencast.com/t/xf56tQN0.
These are the ways you can increase your page width from theme options. Anything above this will require custom code.
Let me know if this helped you !
Thank you !
