pinterest button in article only finds one image in post, not all images - topic

All my blog posts have two images – a featured image and a Pinterest image. They’re both listed in the header meta open graph tags as og:image. So when I go to Pinterest and pin the article from there, it shows me both images and I can select the Pinterest-style image to pin. But when I am on my site and click the Pinterest button at the top of the article, it opens a new window that only shows one image – the featured one. And I have no way of knowing the Pinterest version is available.

It appears this new window that opens to save the pin is powered by Pinterest. Is there any way to change what URL the button is calling to open one that lets me choose the correct image?

Hi,

If we switch theme, eg.from default to fashion, tech news or clear voice,

1) will we lose some of our original layout? Ad banners? header menu settings
2) if we revert back, will the layout be immediately recovered?

We are thinking of testing a theme demo change.

I have an issue with header image animation let say page template style 7 and style 8
Header image appears after a delay. Can I disable this fade animation at all or speed it up? All I need is full width image on the top. Lazy load is disabled. Thanks!

Additional, it seems a bit odd how the logo needs more time to load than the rest of the header (desktop)

Hi to everybody,
I deleted the demo-header-menu because it was not adding the categories i have made. After I created a new header menu the functionality of showing thumbs of the posts is lost. What I can I do to apply this functionality in the menu categories?

I just update my newsmag version and now I get this

Hi,

That is the recommended logo size for the first three header styles

The logo used should be of this size for best results. You can make customization to the header if you wish. Use the browser inspector to identify the elements used and the classes and create custom code

Basically adapt the header style for a bigger logo if that is what you want.

If you want to reduce the padding as well or the width, I have included the code with the original values, you can modify them as you wish. Then enter it in Theme panel->Custom CSS

Hi,

Most header styles have a required logo size that should be used

The exception are header styles 9,10 and 11. These do not have a limit for the logo, you can use any size you want and it will be displayed

Social icon and Blue line even if i change color - reply

Hi,

That line is a border set for the trending now element. In order to remove it you must edit the page with the composer, then click on the trending now and remove the border from the CSS tab

To remove the socials from the header and footer, you must remove the links entered in Theme panel->Social networks. If a social has a link entered in it’s field, it will appear in those locations.
Telegram is not an option in the social networks at the moment. It will have to be added manually if it is absolutely required. There is a similar topic here

Updating from very old version - topic

I just noticed that one of my original newspaper websites was not updated for ages. In fact it was running verion 4.6.x So I knew I had to start over completely. So I renamed the themefolder to .newspaper and re-uploaded the latest version.

Unfortunately there are a lot of inconsistencies on the homepage and menu’s.

Hello,
I’ve been messing around trying to change the color of our mobile header area and I can’t seem to find the option that changes the area I want…

If you view the site on a mobile device, you will see our logo is white and pink with a black background that looks awkward…

This is the area I’m trying to change the color of.

Could you please tell me which option in the theme panel I should be looking for to change this? This area is the top thing you see on a mobile device

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It’s not necessary to put it in header.php you can just basically append inside Theme Panel -> Analytic’s code part.

Just grab the code from Adsense and paste it between the <head>/</head> tag in your header.php file (Newspaper theme folder via FTP) and you are good to go!

I’ve install DFP on my website but I have the problem that the ads are not responsive…

Is this fixed? I am on the latest version, with a newly generated API Key, and am getting:

Weather API error: Invalid API key. Please see http://openweathermap.org/faq#error401 for more info.

in the header top bar

Edit: nevermind, I see this: “Activation of an API key for Free and Startup accounts takes 10 minutes. For other accounts it takes from 10 to 60 minutes.”

So I will continue to wait.

okay thanks, but I would suggest this feature to be included in your future versions update. It will be very good if we can design category pages and also headers footers with tagdiv composer.
