I’m using this theme to make a website for a non-profit organisation. I was asked if it would be possible to make a ‘Donate’ button in the main menu or perhaps the top menu. (Header style 8) Is this possible without a lot of coding? What would be the easiest way? Thank you in advance.

I just got the Newsmag theme and installed it. Before the installation, I switched off all the plugins, except for the compatible ones. The PageSpeed in this case was around 75. Once the Newsmag was installed, the score dropped to 37 and the site is totally slow. I checked the system status and did everything whats in there, so everything is green there. I want to find out what happened, could you help me?
I also tried to install the necessary plugin, but it gave me the following error:
The plugin does not have a valid header.

I tried to upload the zip file through FTP, but the error remained.

When I use my WP Pro Advertising System to insert banners in the header (728X90) things work great until there is more than one. Once there are two, it does not scroll and the first banner appears cut off horizontally.

You will also have to change the image and the category name in the code like this example:

It seems you are using category template 8. That particular category has a transparent header so you can see the background behind it. If you want to only have an image inside the transparent box it will reuqire customization. Header styles 9, 10 and 11 will show the logo in the exact dimension you upload it in.
You cannot enlarge an image using css without losing clarity. You will have to use an image editor like photoshop to create a big size logo. You cannot enlarge smaller ones. You can but the result is extremely underwhelming

I need to have my own advertisement in the header ad space pointing to my ecommerce store. I made an advertising image with call to action that is 728 x 90. I got this size by right clicking on the demo ad, clicking Inspect, and seeing the image size used in that.
I tried adding the widget for a top ad, but I don’t see how to add an image into that spot. There’s a box that says CSS class, but I don’t know what that means.
If there’s a way to add an image (with a link) for the header ad spot, then I’ll also need instructions for above the footer and the sidebar ad. Just an image – no code. Maybe a shortcode, if it will pull my image.

I have set the recommended parameters but not working at all. I did a fresh install via ftp, still no luck. I dont really know what else to do. Also at theme panel, i was unable to change anything, theme colour header and the rest.

If you want to decrease the height of your header, you should use a bit of CSS code to do that. Try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.
The code is ->

Those title colors are grabbed by the settings in your theme colors section of the theme panel or the demo style. Please change the headers color in the theme colors section http://screencast.com/t/H48aBATk and if they still won’t change, provide a link to your site so we can inspect it.

Curious how I would be able to add a custom larger centered header logo for the style ten header. I have a custom logo now but it is too small to read the text but the original file is of a bigger size. Can I just add in some custom html or is there anyway I could edit the header-style php file to do this.

Hi, I need to create posts without using the templates that automatically insert content in the content area. I do want the header and footer, but no other content blocks. I want to create the post with visual composer and have full control of the content area. How do I do this? or what are basic steps to create my own custom template, if that’s possible? Thanks.
You need to do the things in my thread
a) you need to optimize fonts either by not using Google Fonts, or you need to unhook them per my notes, then manually put the actual CSS in your style.css file at bottom
b) you need to minify the style.css file using my thread info.
c) consider some of the longer winded stuff — which is super advanced; the only way to fully eliminate above the fold issue is to put css in footer, after un-enqueuing it from the header, then use a critical css generator to build the CSS and put into your header.php file.

or — you can try to resolve some of that by using the speedbooster plugin.
Note I am only working with Newsmag optimzations now, and no longer use Newspaper.
Also note, that if you get everything else optimized, the ‘above the fold’ isn’t going to kill you in SERPS.
But there is *no* one click solution to fully optimize your site for maximum speed.

The theme block titles can be changed from block setings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/ but the overall style of the titles is provided by the theme demo you chose. There is no setting to select a different style for the headers.
