Hi,

By a theme or block setting it is not possible. However I could give you a CSS code for it, for example – http://prntscr.com/o9w1so
This code will apply to the flex blocks in the homepage only, I could modify it if needed.
It can be entered in the theme panel custom CSS section

.home .td_flex_block_1 {
counter-reset: module;
}
.home .td_flex_block_1 .td_module_flex_1:after {
counter-increment: module;
content:counter(module);
position: absolute;
top: 0;
right: 20px;
color: white;
padding: 5px 10px;
background-color: rgba(25,27,26,0.5);
}

Let me know.
Thanks

If you want to have a custom header, you can use the Header manager and build the header you want, or you can check the headers from tagDiv Cloud Library end edit them after your needs.

Wow. This is a total mess. I paid for the updated theme. I updated it and now my entire site looks terrible. The homepage is lumped into a classic post. The composure is not recognizing the old code at all. This is disappointing to say the least. When I try to edit my homepage, I get a classic post cluster-f**k that looks like this:

[vc_row][vc_column][td_block_trending_now limit=”8″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=".td-top-border{border-top-width: 1px !important;}"][vc_column width="2/3"][td_block_slide autoplay=”4″ category_id=”11″ custom_title=””][td_block_2 custom_title="Featured Cases" header_color="#dd9933" category_id="2" sort="alphabetical_order" limit="15"][td_block_2 custom_title="Endorsed Cases" header_color="#dd9933" border_top="no_border_top" category_id="3" sort="alphabetical_order" limit="15"][td_block_2 custom_title="Successful Cases" header_color="#dd9933" category_id="53" sort="alphabetical_order" limit="15"][td_block_11 custom_title=”Judges For Justice Featured Cases” header_color=”#dd9933″ category_id=”67″][td_block_11 custom_title=”Justice For Illinois Wrongfully Convicted Cases” header_color=”#dd9933″ category_id=”75″][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3"][vc_single_image image="1796" img_size="" alignment="center" style="vc_box_rounded" onclick="custom_link" link="https://www.facebook.com/Injustice-Anywhere-270758032980401"][vc_separator][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id="td-default"][/vc_column][vc_column][td_block_video_youtube playlist_title=”Recommended Videos” playlist_yt=”D0CqOtEITZg, d_nUtdU0wic, bh_X5vKF_LM, HAsEEXk84pA”][vc_empty_space height="2px"][td_block_video_youtube playlist_title=”Recommended Music” playlist_yt=”LZNCSGxM5Gw, pnfhCg6VAac, 1KylNm5eTrM”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Hello !

As I’ve mentioned. All of the homepage can be edited using the tagDiv Composer. Activate the Composer and simply click on what element you want to edit. As you can see in the picture you have posted there are 2 blocks, so if you want to keep that look you will have to set the same filters for the same blocks. I’ve made a quick video wich I hope it will help you : https://www.screencast.com/t/uHSm5bVCV

Thank you !

Hello,

I’m trying to edit my homepage by using TagDiv Composer, unfortunately, when I click “Edit with TD Composer” my page just goes blank, and nothing happens. I’ve tried several solutions, such as raising up the memory allowance with my host, creating new pages from scratch, but nothing has changed ever since.

Could you help me with this ?

Best Regards.

The option on the tagDiv composer is to edit the homepage. What I want is to edit those categories like photography, audio, gaming, smart home, computing, and others.

Hello !

In order to achieve that look you will have to edit your homepage using the tagDiv Composer and add a Big Grid to your page. Please take a look at this video I made: https://www.screencast.com/t/dI7WBbFu

I hope this was more helpfull !

Thank you !

I can’t still get anything out of it. You made me succeed in messing up my theme setup. I go to the tagdiv plugin using the page option and all the setting I made on it reflected on my privacy policy settings. This is the only theme that has been giving me issues since. All I want is to get this type of homepage.

Hi,

First please make sure that you have the tagDiv Composer activate in Newspaper plugins -> https://www.screencast.com/t/PJlizsRFbG if this is activate then you can edit the homepage in two ways : one directly from website by clicking “Edit with TD Composer” -> https://www.screencast.com/t/BeXlrA0x or from back-end by hovering the page title -> https://www.screencast.com/t/eA6kUUQY or you can click on edit page and click the TAGDIV COMPOSER button -> https://www.screencast.com/t/NCKRDcLXWKwD after that you need to click on the block/module/element that you want to edit and check the tagDiv Composer tab -> https://www.screencast.com/t/TRxoSQcohM

Thank you!

Hi,

Thank you for reaching us! If you want to create a sidebar for the homepage, please note that you will need to use the Widgetised Sidebar element for this creating. First of all, you will need to split your ROW into 2 columns, for example, and then, add this element which creates the sidebar, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/gRNoLzQH -> https://www.screencast.com/t/0md70DkaE35 Also, for more details about Sidebar functionality, please check the documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-smart-sidebar/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/ Also, this vide might be useful for you -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-uVbgLvrdg&t=2s to create a beautiful sidebars.

Hi,

You can always create new topics in the forum, we will try to help as best we can and as soon as possible.

1. If you mean the user registration, that is not enabled for the live demos. There would be no point to allow visitors to create accounts in a demo website.
If you would like to provide the user registration (membership) for your website, you can do so in the WordPress general settings – http://prntscr.com/o8v8qb then WordPress will allow visitors to create accounts – http://prntscr.com/o8v92k and the theme will display it as well – http://prntscr.com/o8v9h2
The theme login modal window will display the same information from the default WordPress login screen. It is basically the same screen and functionality but with some style added.

2. That is how the mobile theme works. The mobile version of pages will not be the same as the desktop version. This is explained in the guide – https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
So while the desktop page can be built with the composer, and contain blocks, grids etc. the mobile version is limited to the mobile editor – http://prntscr.com/o8vbaq
If a page contains no content in the mobile editor, on phones it will be empty when the mobile theme is active.

The homepage on mobile displays a top grid with featured posts
https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
Then there will be a latest articles section. If you enter content in the mobile editor for the homepage, it will be displayed between those 2 sections.

If you want to see see how the mobile theme looks and works, please check this demo with a phone, it has the plugin active – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_local_news/

Displaying a slider in mobile pages is possible, you can enter the slider shortcode in the mobile editor, similar topic here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/i-want-to-put-silder-revolution-logo-carousel-in-mobile-theme/

3. It is possible to create the mobile menu, but only if the mobile theme is disabled. Using cloud templates it is possible to design the desktop and mobile headers. These are templates built by us that can be imported and modified if needed
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Headers
You can also build your own using a blank header template – http://prntscr.com/o8vge6
Here are some articles – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-customize-the-header-manager/
https://tagdiv.com/header-main-menu-newspaper-theme/
And a guide about the cloud plugin – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

If you have more questions, or if I misunderstood something, let me know.
Thanks

Why is it so that after every few days the homepage of our website doesn’t show up as AMP in the search? We have got it to reindex in order to work. Any permanent solution?

Sign in / Join is not showing up on mobile view (not using mobile theme). The main menu shows up, but that is all. See here: https://www.wilcowellness.org. If we activate the mobile theme plugin it shows up, but the mobile theme rips out too much of our content from the homepage and dashboard to use it. I’ve looked into settings and searched articles for a while now. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks.

Why can’t Newspaper 9 and its team of developers fix something like this Time Format for customers by coming up with an update to resolve the issue once and for all? I purchased Newspaper 9 theme thinking that common features like the time ago format that is Ubiquitous on almost all news sites will be available only to find out that’s not the case. You all need to come up with an update ASAP to fix this issue in the theme it makes sites like mine a bit disjointed by having a long time format on the homepage

Wasn’t an issue until today. When I try to click on author or direct to the website/author link it just redirects to the homepage. I’ve tried reverting back to the default template rather than the cloud template and clearing all caches.

Hi Vlad!

Thank for your answer, but I have a question.

In the mobile them documentation you reported:
Homepage – the “Mobile Theme” comes with a single predefined page template that includes two section:

top grid – displays 3 featured posts (posts included in the Featured category)
latest articles – displays the latest articles”
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

I miss the top grid!!
I understand that the top grid should be displayed by default…or not?

Please check this homepage
https://petadvisor.it/

The same problem apply on the othe 4 website of newspaper that I own!

Thank you for your time,

It’s a easy question:
The desktop home page of y website is ok.
The mobile version is only a “latest articles” page. It looks like the mobile version does not have a homepage at all.
https://petadvisor.it/

What is the problem?
I have installed the AMP version that you reccomend. All plugins are installed and updated.

Thank you
