Well my problem is simple : it seems that a WordPress update (?) did change all the back office of my home page. Before, I had all the options from Visual Composer, and I could do my home page as it is now.
But since I-do-not-know-when, I have nothing in the Visual Composer menu, so I can not do anything to modify my home page, like I do not have access to what I have on it Oo
Any idea on how to fix that please ? 🙂

I love the featured image but every time I set it, it ends up also in my blog before the first line as a small thumbnail. I don’t want it to show in each post. Only want it to show on the homepage for the slider etc.

I have a live streaming running and I want to show it bottom-right corner of the page. I have the code. Just dont know where to put it so that it should work. If I put it in a row then it will show in the row. But I want to call it outside of the container so that it will get placed in bottom-right corner of window. I’ve followed the steps in the screencast you included. The smart sidebar doesn’t work on my homepage that’s in VC. I entered td-ss-row in the Extra Class Name field for the row that the wdigetized sidebar resides.
The smart sidebar does work on Posts and category pages.
I’m running V 2.3.5 of Newsmag.

What am I missing to get this smart sidebar to work on the homepage?

I was replacing the date function under the post title in template #3, with human time diff function. But it is somewhat misaligned. I used the inspect tool, and finally gave an edit to .td-post-meta-info, but that seems to apply to the complete meta info, even on the homepage. So now, I am looking forward to just adjust the specific function, and only in this specific template. Any guidance please?
I want the colour of it to be white, to match the other functions. Plus, I am also willing to adjust its font size and want to realign it.
One more thing, how do I replace the same on the following blocks and grids on my homepage.

Hi Cris, thanks for your support, I’ve tested my website (www.neuronews.com.br) via GTmetrix.com and it’s seems very nice (apparently), be in homepage or some post page, but when I do the scanning via Google pagespeed the page score is 63/100 plus a lot of issues, do you know what’s going on in this case? Which scanning tool is more accurate?

Please I don’t know why I cannot edit my homepage. Trying to edit some widget (category widget) for the homepage but the Visual Composer is not loading the page.
That setting is only for specific category.
What I mean is that from homepage I have many blocks with different categories so when clicking to any post it will display that post content and for block13 to show the same category post listing.

I need to make specific article stay on the homepage. I use block on the homepage that gets latest marked as featured in category settings. I made it featured it and stick on homepage from settings but it doesn’t appear in the desired block.
I need this article to stick on the block that gets information from featured category and stay as latest. The other articles need to display after it and not move it.

Hello,
Sometimes a few elements on your post will cause this such as tables or iframes. Please test another post that has just default theme elements inside it’s content. (make sure you test a post with pagespeed insights, not the homepage as pages do not get correct results on google page speed.)
As for the render blocking, this is not a theme problem but an optimization you can make. You can use the speedbooster plugin for this but be mindfull of the compatibility list inside the plugin code. You can read more about it here:

I’ve tried using the homepage post element from the visual composer, but I still can’t achieve what you have at http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/homepage-news/.
Besides adding the homepage post element and pointing it at a post (as I suspect should be done) are there any other settings to turned on or activated.
For instance where does the huge full-width image come from, and the navigation bar stands out on top.
Please how do I achieve this please?

Hello, and thank you for your hard work on this wonderful theme!
I was hoping someone could help guide me in the right direction to removing the author card and author name in posts from a specific author, and removing the author name from the homepage for those posts.
Essentially, I don’t want any author information to appear on my website from any posts made by the ‘admin’ author, but I would still like the rest of my site contributors to have their author credentials appear.
