Andrei, thanks for your quick reply. Basically let me begin with the first problem. There was an update of wordpress that was available. I have updated my wordpress. Then suddenly, I realised that my visual composer was not working. So, the elements were frozen, and the configuration of this visual composer was different.
As a result, I couldn’t drag and drop new boxes from visual composer. When I published the home page, all the videos on the homepage were frozen. But when you click on the video and go to its page, the video is available and working.
After several attempts to figure out the problems, I deleted the entire website, included wordpress. I uploaded wordpress again and then uploaded newsmag file. I have followed the instructions on the plugins that come with it, included visual composer.
The problem did not solve. I realised that the plugin of the visual composer was probably the cause of the problem. So, I decided to load it from the file in my computer and follow your instructions. It did not solve the problem.
I came to realise that there was a new visual composer. Its message reads:Welcome to Visual Composer 4.11
Congratulations! You are about to use most powerful time saver for WordPress ever – page builder plugin with Frontend and Backend editors by WPBakery. Although from your documentation, there was a clear indication that newsmag comes with visual composer, I decided to go ahead and buy this new visual composer.
It has to be activated and now all the functions of visual composer have been restored. I can drag boxes and place them on the home page.
But when you publish the home page, the problem is still there. The videos on the home page are frozen while the videos in individual pages are working.
I hope I have made myself more comprehensive.

I saw significant change in the google page speed insight after I figured out that my Gzip compression was not turned on although a test showed it was on. As soon as I turned it on, the speed went up significantly, to 80+. But on mobile sites it’s still hovering around 50.
I have noted that turning off the Unique articles feature helps the speed go up (makes sense to me) but it’s an important feature for us.
My question is, if I turn off Unique articles and instead use the Offset post feature, will it help increase the page speed or will it be the same if I apply it throughout the page? In other words, my question is, if by using the Offset feature instead of Unique articles, if the visible result on the homepage is as good as it would be using the Unique articles, will it make any improvement in the page loading time?

Sorry for not explaining things better in the first reply but I did not realize you want to keep the “latest posts” on the homepage and rename the word ‘blog’. (misunderstanding :))
For the breadcrumbs there is no setting to remove them on specific pages, but this can be done with css. You will need the page id you can get from here: http://screencast.com/t/7AIX5pftA and then you can use css like so:
.page-id-1486 .entry-crumbs{
display:none!important;
}
If you want to add more pages to the same code you can do it like so:
.page-id-1486 .entry-crumbs,
.page-id-1487 .entry-crumbs,
.page-id-1488 .entry-crumbs,
.page-id-1489 .entry-crumbs {

}

Using Visual Composer, I have created this structure on a page, which is going to be the homepage template.
The problem is, block 18 doesn’t seem to fit and adapt itself into the center column and it appears narrowed.

I’m having the same problem. Running on wordpress 4.4.2. The homepage seem works fine but the category pages repeating posts on pagination. I don’t want to update the full theme as i have a lot of customization.
Is there a way to replace few files from the latest version of theme that would fix the problem. I didn’t install the visual composer as i don’t use any elements from that plugin, it’s very flat website.

1). Your theme does not support “TECNO”phone browsers- TECNO mobile phones is used by 80% of Africans (600 million people) so am quite surprised your theme does not support the Techno phone browsers! When I type in my website URL or your theme Demo URL, your theme design looks like garbage/trash on TECNO phones!
2). I noticed that the photos on my website big thumbnails does not fit in properly to its thumbnail container- thereby giving blank space on the big slider images! Can’t you specify on your next update for photos to automatically fit in to thumbnail container?
3). On my homepage,when I try to show more than one category of post on a particular block, it won’t allow me select multiple categories on a block, I must have to choose only one category on each block and your theme documentation states I can select multiply categories on a particular block but why I try to do so, it won’t allow me- so why is this an issue????

4) There is one particular feature/plugin your theme Newsmag is lacking and that’s a membership plugin that will be customized by your developers and bundled along with your next version, a membership plugin that will support payment gateway like stripe/PayPal – if a membership feature is added to your theme- people will purchase your theme even if you raise your price of theme to $5,000.
You have woo-commerce/speed booster plugin with your Newsmag but why not a membership plugin to make a difference from other themes on themeforest????
5). Am using Wp super cache plugin and SSL CERTICATE and MAXCDN is that the reason why post views are not being displayed on my website and it always say 0 even when I get over 6,000 views on a particular post?????? I guess not, will you fix this on your next update?

At the moment there is no setting in the theme for it, but it can be done with custom css
For the titles, there are different css codes that apply, so you need to be more specific about them. Are they post titles on the homepage inside modules, or simple h2 and h3 tags inside the posts themselves.
I assume you are referring to the post titles on the homepage inside the blocks as this is a more common request:
For them you can use this code:

The code will also affect the related articles.

I think you are referring to the breadcrumbs. Unfortunately there is no setting to change the text for theme as they will grab the elements of wordpress and the post titles, not custom text. If your page is a blog, then it will display as “blog”. If your homepage is set to your latest posts fro wp settings, then the word blog will be displayed. You can change this by adding your own custom made homepage you can create in visual composer: http://screencast.com/t/OaQ9QsOs52
Then the word ‘blog’ will be replaced by the page title you give to your homepage.

Hi,
You have to make an assessment o the size of every image and container you use on your site. The theme does crop images and create thumbnails, but it cannot enlarge images. For example, in your big grid on the homepage, the big container has dimensions of: http://screencast.com/t/6vmVnKein5 but your image is not big enough to fill it: http://screencast.com/t/UA2GuiIpTmL
Please make sure you have all thumbnails that you use active in the theme panel -> block settings -> thumbnails section
