Hi,

Is there a way to resize the images uploaded to the site? The people managing the site I created with your theme refuse to upload images in the right size for it to look correctly on the homepage, they usually upload smaller images. I wonder if there is a way to automatically resize every uploaded picture to 750 x 500 pixels, which is the apropiate size for the homepage featured image. Please advise me on how to do this.

Thank you for your time and support,

Marcia

Dear Support-Team

We can not understand why on some pages on our homepage the sidebar is not being displayed, even though we have everything set up correctly in the backeneditor. Here an example:

http://testumgebungneu.radiouahid.fm/events/little-ummah-time/

Do you know what the cause of this problem might be?

Best regards,

Hello Andrei,

Thanks for your revert !

I have got the timeformat modified. But it is showing incorrect date onto the homepage.

On the homepage i want to show the date of the last modified time of the whole site. But it is displaying some random old date, may be it is the date on which the homepage file was last modified.

Let me know how can I fetch the site last modified date on the home page.

Hi, I’m using Homepage BigSlide for my homepage appearance.
The problem is that the big slide is framed too much and I’d prefer a big or full width image.
Can you please provide me CSS code and how to change it?
Thanks
Stefano

Hi,

I noticed that when opening my website on iPad (http://tafeltennisprimeur.nl) it opens the YouTube app because I have a YouTube playlist on my homepage. At first you can deny YouTube to be opened, but once you have had it opened once you can’t go back to the site anymore: it will continously return to the YouTube app.

Is there a way to prevent this? I don’t mind being able to access the YouTube app but it shouldn’t interfere with a proper usage of the site.

Thanks, Ying-Fu

I think that one unit displays fine on homepage, but other ad units inside post pages…not centered still.

Can you check post pages and see if centered. I tried it on 3 devices so far… all aligned right.

This is example:

Load: http://techfor.us , it’s still techfor.us, not redirect to http://www.techfor.us

In general settings of WordPress, I have set it’s http://www.techfor.us

So the question is it’s the error from WordPress or your template?

This error is only happened for homepage only.

When you load: http://techfor.us/2015/10/wi-fi-vs-ethernet-advantages/

It still redirect to: http://www.techfor.us/2015/10/wi-fi-vs-ethernet-advantages/ , normally.

So?

Hello,
In our theme you can place ads wherever you want on the homepage using the adbox element in visual composer. Check the ads section in our docs for more information on the subject: https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-ad/
I am not sure how you want to loop the ads on the homepage as it depends on how you want to set it up. Please provide an example of a homepage and try to provide more details as to how you want your ad to be displayed.
As for the adsense size, you can select it from the ad spot here: http://screencast.com/t/DBR0SnRxCC4a
I hope this helps.
Thank you!

Hi Team

I read in this forum how to delete the “latest article” template in the home page footer

**Hello Bernd,

1) You can delete the homepage latest articles section from the back-end by removing or commenting out this code here: http://screencast.com/t/YEDkjSmX

I followed the instruction, but the latest article still exist.

I have tried the comment out and delete. Below are the screeshot

I have followed your instructions (FTP new theme 6.4.4, deleted and re-installed the social counter plugin, created FB app).

Now, it appears to be working on our post pages (where the social counter is a widget), but not on the homepage (where the social counter is a block added to the page). Any suggestions?

@ykdm
did you download the latest theme update with the fix?

It’s not OK for you to blame TagDiv for not updating your theme sooner. They can’t update your site for you, only you can install theme updates.

I think they know it’s a huge issue, hence why they rushed out some fixes/solutions!

[ Version 6.6.4 ]
– fix: homepage pagination issue with wordpress 4.4.1

[ Version 6.6.3 ]
– new: visual composer was updated to the latest version 4.9
– new: revolution slider was updated to the latest version 5.1.5
– fix: modified structured data to comply with Google’s new requirements

Also note the sticky post at top of the support forum with more info?
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/wordpress-4-4-1-pagination-new-fix/

Also note several known bugs with WP 4.4.1 and there will be a 4.4.2 version very soon.

Salve.

Ti ringrazio.

Stefano

Unless you changed the name of the theme in style.css and the theme folder name, you can’t install two versions of same theme and switch —

you would backup old files, custom css, dbase; delete old theme folder, upload new one, and then login to check anything like sidebar widgets and homepage.

See the theme docs on how to upgrade also 🙂

Hi there,

It seems since updating to the latest Jan 7th Newspaper theme that the social buttons at the top of my website appear differently when the website displays without the www. The dropdown arrows also display as small boxes. I’ve set the preferred domain within webmaster tools so cannot understand why it would do this. There’s also an error on the mobile version where they cannot click one of the featured homepage images or that post title.

I’ve flushed the cache, reuploaded the latest Newspaper theme update with no success and have no new plugins activated.

Could this be the latest 4.4.1 WordPress update?

Would really appreciate a quick fix for this.

Thanks,
Mark

I’ve been using WordPress for many years and I know that when you set URL in Settings > General like http://www.domain.com, it will automatically redirect none-www to http://www.domain.com as default.

However, after a few updates of Newspaper (I didn’t noticed when it have charged), my URL are not redirect anymore.

When you type none-www, it still load the page with none-www. When you type http://www.domain.com, it still load http://www.domain.com as normally.

This issue only happens to the homepage, not other page. I’ve tested with post URL and it always redirect to http://www.domain.com/post.html (when I typed domain.com/post.html).

So, it’s only happens with the homepage. I just want to ask that’s the problem of Newspaper or of new WordPress update? (4.4.1)?

Asked and answered. Covered dozens of times in forum. Common to all wordpress themes.
Add either row or column on homepage and wrap text in h1 tag, or use text box in sidebar. To customize size create class and put css in custom css box, then apply that class to h1 tag.

Try it. She be happy and stop waiting.
