Hello,

I have newspaper theme v6.5 installed on my website.

I am facing a problem with the Load More button for “Infinite Loading” of posts on the Category Pages.

URL – https://www.naukrinama.com/results/

When i click on load more button, the same posts from the top gets repeated instead of loading the new posts.

The same is happening on the search page also with Pagination.

When I click on Next Page option then it doesn’t load.

URL – https://www.naukrinama.com/search/UPSC

Please let me know a solution to this issue.

Hi,

I have checked one of your posts using fb debugger(I also suggested above to use it) and you get some erors there that you should fix and first I suggest to read and apply this online solution as your server spend a lot of time to response the requests – http://screencast.com/t/X0KjhlEBHi4 here you can read more – http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22461368/facebook-developer-tool-throw-curl-error-operation-timeouted-operation-timed especially this answer – http://screencast.com/t/Sjh4Rj8usU0
First you should use a cache plugin(we recommend WP Super Cache) and also please check this guide to improve the pagespeed – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ the real issue is your server response time and you can try to reduce the number of queries (fewer plugins, fewer blocks on page, reduce the elements which use ajax requests/pagination like mega menus/load more/infinite load), also consider using a cache plugin like I already suggested.

Thanks!

Hello neakriti,

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such option for post pagination (infinite scrolling). This kind of functionality you can implement on our theme with some plugins or with a freelancer/developer. Please notice that we have a list with our tested plugins, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/XDfs66pj93 and we cannot provide support for untested plugins.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for the message!

Is it possible to scroll to the next post from the current one with infinite scroll?

That is when a reader finishes reading a post, ajax-fetch the next post and add it at the end? (same to infinite scroll when using blocks).

Hi, I have to solve a big problem.
Basically I need that I can have a different template from default single post template (complete layout) because
in one case I have certain ads (article ads TOP, BOTTOM and INLINE…..and also sidebar ads) and in other case I have other ads (article ads TOP, BOTTOM and INLINE…..and also sidebar ads)
I need some clarification:

1) Creation of custom sidebar is possible only when I’m editing the article? I did not see anywhere else.

2) Once I have a new custom sidebar, for the posts for which I want the new sidebar I only can configure posts one by one?….. there is only this way? it cannot manage an association of a sidebar to certain items (for example by category, by tag, by date or whatever that speed up the sidebar association if there an high number of posts without having to do one by one?)

3) And about article ads (top, bottom and inline) I cannot diversify somehow configurations of adv inside the content of the article (top, bottom and inline)? Once I configure….this configuration is valid and it’s the only for all posts?

4) If there is no direct way through configurations to have different single post ads configuration
and I have to edit the source code, you have any suggestion about which way is best to follow?
In my case All items from the year 2007 to 2014 must have certain banner ads (article ads… and sidebar ads)
and all the others the current ads configuration (article ads… and sidebar ads)???

INFINITELY THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT THAT PLEASE GIVE ME

(sorry for my bad english)

3: In the settings tab that appears on screen, add a title to your block if you want, then set the post limit: http://screencast.com/t/nCLC1yHPk (i set mnine to 10, but you can set it to any number.)
4: From the same window select the pagination tab and select infinite load: http://screencast.com/t/nkoZe1XzkO

Hi i have tried static post but still my infinite loading is not working ..!

Hello BhawaniGarg,

I have checked your website and I saw you are using as your front page displays your latest posts (blog mode). Unfortunately, our theme does not have the infinite loading pagination for this template but only for blocks. As a quick solution, I recommend using a static page and make a page with the block with infinite loading. http://screencast.com/t/J70nFfFWI

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thank you for the message!

Hi there,

I have a few questions about the category filters.

1) By default the “last” option is selected. I have set the theme to use infinite loading+load more button. However I have an article that is not showing up and there is no pagination. When I switch to a filter like random (?filter_by=random_posts) there will be a page 2.

So this is confusing because:
a) There is no load more button
b) Why is the default option not showing all articles OR pagination?

2) Isn’t it bad for SEO to have 6 different filter options for the same results?

I hope you can help me out here :).

Hi,

I would like to know if there is any way I can show more posts per page when browsing the articles by tags. For example in this page (http://www.cronicasgeek.com/etiqueta/ces-2016/), users can only see 3 posts, and I would like to show all the posts tagged with that words (in total 6) in the same page, or maybe add some sort of infinite loading.

Thank you very much!

For example BUSINESS category has 15 posts. Then I go to category page I see only 10 posts, even if I set Pagination style – Infinite loading + Load more. If I press it loads

Hi Again,

After a few more hours of research, I believe this is a wordpress issue that has haunted webmasters for quite some time.

you can append any page number to the URL and, if the page doesn’t actually exist, WordPress will return a valid “200 OK” response and deliver the highest numbered existing page to the user. And not just for paged content — WordPress exhibits this behavior for any permalink on your site. This of course is not good from an SEO perspective, where an infinite number of URLs all pointing to the same page containing the exact same title, description, and content could potentially devastate your rankings.

Try it yourself! Add a page number to the end of any WordPress-powered URL and witness the insanity..

The worst part is that WordPress does this for not only multipaged posts and comments, but for any post or page. Try it yourself on any WordPress site on the Web — just append some number to the end of any URL and watch WordPress work its magic.

I will try this fix later, was curious to know anybody’s thoughts on this..

FIX: https://perishablepress.com/wordpress-infinite-duplicate-content/

<?php // malicious post page ordinal fix by Jeff Morris
// [post URL for reference]

global $posts, $numpages;

$request_uri = $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'];

$result = preg_match('%\/(\d)+(\/)?$%', $request_uri, $matches);

$ordinal = $result ? intval($matches[1]) : FALSE;

if(is_numeric($ordinal)) {

// a numbered page was requested: validate it
// look-ahead: initialises the global $numpages

setup_postdata($posts[0]); // yes, hack

$redirect_to = ($ordinal < 2) ? '/': (($ordinal > $numpages) ? "/$numpages/" : FALSE);

if(is_string($redirect_to)) {

// we got us a phantom
$redirect_url = get_option('home') . preg_replace('%'.$matches[0].'%', $redirect_to, $request_uri);

// if page = 0 or 1, redirect permanently
if($ordinal < 2) {
header($_SERVER['SERVER_PROTOCOL'] . ' 301 Moved Permanently');
} else {
header($_SERVER['SERVER_PROTOCOL'] . ' 302 Found');
}

header("Location: $redirect_url");
exit();

}
}
?>

To implement this technique, just place it into your active theme’s functions.php file. Consider this a “beta” fix and test thoroughly. I have tested this successfully on WordPress 2.3 and 2.9, so it will probably work fine on just about any version of WordPress in use today.

This solution “fixes” the infinite duplicate content issue on the server-side of the equation. It eliminates the extraneous URLs by redirecting them to their canonical counterparts. Search engines will always find the canonical versions of your pages thus eliminating any duplicate content.

Conversely, using the canonical tag is more of a “cosmetic suggestion” that fails to resolve the issue in a reliable way. As Matt Cutts states several times in his presentation on canonical links, it’s always better for site admins to resolve any potential duplication issues on their site at the upstream end. Similar ideas are expressed in this video on the canonical tag.

The only issue I found if it was anything was I had my blog page setup under visual composer and had it on infinite, then changed it to next and prev pagination and it stopped working. I then went and put the blog page as post page in settings>>reading, and pagination worked fine. So it only happened with VC settings for me to cause the issue with any pagination. Infinite works and infinite with load more button fine but not the next and prev pagination in VC. That is all I got but everything in categories pagination works fine on my end.

Hello, it would be great if you could add an infinite load of the next post on single post pages. So when user just scrolls down the next article will be displayed (it would be perfect if it would work without having to click load more).

Infinite loading posts is used in many big news sites such as Time.com, LA Times, Quartz, Vogue.com, i’m sure every user of your theme will love this

Thanks for your great product

Hello. I’m new buyer. Firstly congratulations and thanks for this perfect theme.

I’d like to learn what size of a post image. I selected style 2 for post template. And I use the template like in the demo homepage (http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/)

Depending on my before theme my post image size is in 765*400 dimensions. But I think this dimension is not suitable for Newspaper theme. Please look at this : Don't Miss Block (don’t miss section)

If possible I want to ask more questions :

1: how can I achieve to do black color of a section’s background in homepage (not title background). like this : Black background

2: A post has 1 or 2 category. But to obtain mega menu I made all category as sub-category of parent catogories. That’s why in top of posts previews not only selected categories but parent categort. This is weird to me. Not ?

3: Is this possible that latest articles block in homepage has infinite scroll not pagination ?

4: I want to not show author box for my posts. Normally in my other theme It wasn’t previewed unless typing author description in backend panel.

Thank you so so much.
Greetings from Turkey.

Hello,
As an idea on how to do it, you can use offsets. What this means is the articles will start from whatever post number you input in the offset area. So if you would input an offset of 6, the articles will begin from post 7 so you can filter post by latest and offset the posts of the blocks above your block 14. (http://screencast.com/t/z07kCAfu)
As an example i have a block block 15 and a block 14 on a page.
If i do not use an offset and set the block 14 to latest posts and infinite load this is the result:
http://screencast.com/t/NXrWPa4ko7J
If i apply an offset of 6 posts (i set the above block to display 6 posts): http://screencast.com/t/YPjY2Fk7YQ7V
I hope this helps
Thank you!

Hi, I just updated the last update which you released 25th Nov. After updating the theme and website I’m having duplicate article issues into my website homepage. I’ve used block 14 to create a infinite load of latest articles but I see the articles from other block shows into this block section while loading infinitely. My website is http://www.dietfigure.com.

Can any of the support member can check the issue and give a solution to get rid of duplicate articles. Note: I tried offset posts but no results 🙁
