Hello CodeisCode,
I’ve tested on my side and everything seems to work fine. I cannot recreate this error. Please try to update our theme to latest version (6.6.3) if you do not have already, disable all the active plugins and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and try again. After this advice, if your problem is still there, please provide your URL website so I can further inspect the issue.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hello StockFanatic,
Our theme is optimized for Seo. Please notice that all the Seo customization it must be done manually by you. First of all, you have to install the Seo Yoast plugin and start to configure this. For more information about this plugin and How you can optimize this, please check this link: https://yoast.com/wordpress-seo/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hi
You need to switch the function position like here: http://screencast.com/t/NsQ0pEGSd
Regarding the file editing you should consider Chris’s suggestion to make a full back-up before making any changes. In case somethings goes wrong you can get back and restore the site to the functional install. The WordPress editor doesn’t include all theme’s files, for security reasons I believe. To apply your customizations just edit the indicated file on your computer using a text editor, then upload it via FTP on your server.
Hope this help.
Thanks!
Hi
I’ve checked your site and found some js error in browser’s console: http://screencast.com/t/eNEq6ymjJo This errors can be caused because of lazy load animation which’s script may conflict with one of your installed plugin. Try to deactivate the lazy load from theme panel > template settings: http://screencast.com/t/8axwxCfc then test again. Also you can try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then check if the problem is still there.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks!
Hi
Thanks @Chris for your answer.
@vitruvian1618 you can check our documentation regarding the update processes here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ Make sure that you do a clean update, meaning the we recommend to delete the old theme files, clear all caches, deactivate all others plugins that you have it installed, purge cdn files then follow our documentation in order to install the theme again. Also you need to update the plugins included in Newsmag-tf/plugins folder. The only required plugin is Visual Composer, others plugins are optional and you have to update them only if you use them.
Hope this help.
Thanks!
Hello Diego1888,
I’ve checked your website again and I saw that you have not disabled all the plugins. I found a lot of unknown classes, as you can see here: http://screencast.com/t/WKdTjlavLw – http://screencast.com/t/sdpNE9X5
Please disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all caches again, and install ONLY the plugins that come bundled with our theme. It is very important this advice because other untested plugins used could cause a conflict and if you have disabled and have enabled only our plugins, you have excluded the reason to create a conflict between plugins.
Only if your problem is still there after this advice, please let us know.
Hope this helps!
Thank you for your understanding!

Hi, I’m trying to figure out which CSS rules I should edit to make a proper alignment between the amazon affiliate link and the following text.
Here you can see what I’m talking about: http://www.gadgetsvirali.com/penna-stampante-3d-per-disegni-stereoscopici-le-migliori
As you can see, below the images, inside the image caption I’m used to put the Amazon affiliate code followed by some text. In the previous theme I had no problem, once I installed this theme, the text goes below the affiliate link, as you can see here in this screenshot http://snag.gy/BaqVq.jpg deleting the Amazon img code it shows up properly but I’m not supposed to touch the Amazon affiliate link.
If you visit the page on mobile devices the issue gets worse: http://snag.gy/u3lnK.jpg
How can I align the affiliate link and the text?
Thanks,
Alessandro
Hello,
I’m unable to install the social counter plugin. The error being displayed is:
The plugin does not have a valid header.
Could anyone help with this please?
Thank you
I am getting an error when trying to install plugins from the newspaper plugin area:
The plugin does not have a valid header.
Downloading install package from http://www.mywebsite.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/plugins/js_composer.zip…
Download failed. Service Temporarily Unavailable
I have just bought and installed the theme but it seems the icons are showing as squares and the social icons in the footer are Japanese symbols.
Do you have a fix for this?
Hi, Just installed Newspaper. Went to view the site and there’s no scroll bar appearing in Chrome or Safari – Page Down also doesn’t work with it. So I can’t scroll down the pages.
Is there a fix for this?
Many thanks
Hello
I haven´t solved the problem yet, I have noticed that font is different in some browsers and mobile. I have a conclusion about what´s happening. I think is not a plugin problem.
First of all, I changed some styles to Open Sans Condensed and Open Sans from Theme Panel. I noticed that these styles aren´t installed in my computers, mac and windows… which is strange because it´s a common font.
Then, I downloaded and installed these font in my computers and they were displayed on the website. If I remove them, the font showed is by default.
So, in this case, how could I display these styles to people´s computer? I suppose that there must be a way to show them.
Thanks
Hello,
You have the infinite load problem but it was fixed in the latest version of newsmag. Please download the theme and install it on a fresh install on a localhost or subdomain and test it again. If it works on the testing site it means there is some code on your main site that interferes with our fix.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!

Hello leohans,
If your ultimate update was from 4.X to 6.X, unfortunately, you lose all changes. Newspaper 6 is a whole new theme so an update from 4 to 6 may cause the same issues as switching to another theme (but we did try to maintain compatibility where ever possible).
Always make a full backup of your current installation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and then do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ update also the plugins that come bundled with the theme files from the /plugins folder. In the “how to update” guide is specified that you will have to run the script that will import from database your settings.
The shortcodes have been changed so old ones will not work anymore. Please note that old files customization or custom css will not work with the new version and you will have to adjust or re-add them.
Bottom line is that newspaper 6 is a whole new theme built from scratch.
Unfortunately, you will have to clear your agenda and spare a bit of time to adjust all your settings to the new version of the theme.
If you have already Newspaper 6 and you want only to do the update to latest version, you should make this without any problem. All your customization are recorded in the database which are not affected by this update.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

I have just installed Revolution slider. It is asking me to register it. Do i have to register it or continue using it as it is
Update:
After doing some digging, I had to update the Child Theme Functions code which I copied and pasted from the new install folder.
Now this is what I am seeing when I go to blog posts:
http://s23.postimg.org/tdc23s3zf/123456.png
As you can see, everything from the post title down is non existent.
I tried all that…still failing. Here is a screen shot of the errors that are displayed not only on the homepage but most areas in WP-Admin
http://s7.postimg.org/cu1mhqhqj/123.jpg
Note: These errors occur after I install the latest version of News Mag and then activate my Child Theme.

a) make sure new server has proper graphic tools installed like your old system; such as imagemagick and GD libs
b) regenerate thumbnails if needed
c) if images need to be larger than your original images, add the “thumbnail upscale” plugin (free).
Obviously if the new hosting system is missing the same files as old one, then it won’t work the same.
Hope that helps.
Hi Bogdan!
Thank you very much for your answer. I checked my website once more and I realized that the problem was in my computer, not in the theme: I had installed one type of Lato font (200) and the theme inherited that font from the computer to the website. I don’t know why, but after I removed all Lato fonts everything works fine.
Sorry for the missunderstanding and thanks again 🙂
