Hello Vlad,
That will take a lot of time and I think I’ll have to redo the entire site! I have more than 200 articles, videos, and other content. Will it be deleted if I reinstall the Newspaper theme again.
Is there a shorter fix?
Thanks.
Hi,
if I click on my mobile site (see http://quirktools.com/screenfly/#u=https%3A//www.eronite.com&w=414&h=736&a=37) on a single post and want to switch it via menu to another language, it doesn’t work. It’s the WMPL plugin installed.
On the desktop theme it’s correct.
Any idea?
Thanks a lot,
Luke
hi, I am trying to import “News Magazine” template with all settings and content. When it is finished installing my homepage is just white. nothing on it at all. Some other templates work okay, but I want that one. If I import just the setting it works.
If i install a demo, for example newspaper black demo, all background is black, on any pages or posts or homepage. How do i change the color for that from a single place?
Hi, I’m trying to set the fonts globally as well and it’s not working.
My WordPress and Newspaper theme installs are relatively new. I’ve created a menu from scratch and set it as “header main” and it is not a mega menu.
Inside TD Composer, also created the header menu from a blank template and added the ‘header main menu’ element. I did not set any styling.
Then, when I go to the Theme Panel > font settings > header: main menu (and also top menu, mega menu, etc. just in case), and pick a serif font, the style doesn’t work on any element. When I test on the ‘body – general font’ it works. There seems to be an issue with the menu font styles for the header.
Am I building the menu wrong?
Hi there,
The visual page builder, i.e. the tagdiv composer visual builder that I use to structure my website is gone. Normally when I press visit my website through wordpress it comes up as a ribbon on the top, now that ribbon is gone, meaning I cant see the regular visual builder either.
I only have tagdiv composer and then recently installed WP statistics, those are the only plugins.
Any help would be much appreciated
I’m using Newspaper theme (love it) on a site that was existing for some time (did clean install). This site has a 3rd party set of plugins (Responsive Accordion & Tabs Responsive) as part of it’s previous design on one large set of pages. The tabs are placed inside of accordions to organize content. The site has a huge number of pages using these plugins. All of these pages have a tab with Vimeo video embeds in it.
Previous to use of the Newspaper theme these Vimeo videos displayed as a normal Vimeo embed would inside the accordions/tabs. With the Newspaper theme, however, on larger screens (mobile is fine) the videos appear as very small thumbnails at 56.25px high which is an odd number for a height! The videos still play but they have no controls available because they are so small! In the source code I can see an inline css style being injected to make them this height.
This issue does NOT occur if I embed a Vimeo video on a new page without any accordions/tabs. If I add an inline css style with height and width this problem goes away, but then the video no longer acts responsively and is too large on mobile and gets partially cut off of course.
Odder yet, is if I use zoom, even just a little in the browser the video immediately snaps to full size. However, all attempts to use css zoom via js to make the body a bit bigger did not work to normalize the size of the videos even though they did indeed zoom the scale of the page being displayed.
While I understand tagDiv probably will say this is a problem with a 3rd party plugin and they can’t support it, it does appear this inline css style for a 56.25px video height is being injected by the Newspaper theme as I have disabled all plugins that have amything to do with images and thumbnails etc, cleared all caches, and the problem still occurs.
I am hoping someone might have some type of insight they can offer as to how I can resolve this issue without re-creating hundreds of pages.
You can see an example of the problem here:
Scroll down a bit, click the Meditation Accordion to expand it, then click the Video tab. You’ll see the issue.
That’s the dev site version, it has since gone live, but the live site is in maintenance mode pending the resolution of this issue so it’s not accessible.
Hello !
Yes, that could be the problem
Please delete the newspaper theme and plugins and reinstall as shown here: fhttps://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-wordpress/
Thank you !
Hello !
We are sorry for your inconvenience !
It is mandatory to delete all what was left from the older version before intalling this update. Overwriting the files would cause a lot of problems and maybe you’ve missed something while deleting the old files. Have you checked the plugins to be deleted too ? If you are certain that you have installed the updates correctly by deleting all of the older versions and made a clean install from scratch please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Also take a look at our documentation about installing the theme and plugins: https://tagdiv.com/how-to-install-plugins-and-update-plugins/ ; https://tagdiv.com/how-to-install-newspaper-theme/
Thank you !

Hello !
We are sorry for the inconvenience !
Since you have hired someone to do custom work it is impossible for us to know what they have changed. I’ve noticed that your mobile menu doesn’t even work. That is caused in 99% of the time by plugins. You can start by deactivating all the non-theme related plugins and see wich one crashes your menu.
Also for the php scripts, the issue is that they are spread all over the theme and it would be a very hard work to identify all of it and repair it.
We have no reported issue on the menu in Firefox, this could be again, caused by plugins.
I suggest you to either contact the agency and fix their mistakes or you could reinstall the theme and start it again. I know it doesn’t sounds ok but it may be the best way.
I hope this was helpfull !
Thank you !
I’ve tried a couple times to use the theme but could’t been able to, first time I installed the theme but didn’t activated it, while installing the plugins it suddenly started showing on every page a “site has technical issues” message, everytime I tried to open home or the WP Admin was the same, so I got into the cPanel, made a backup, deleted WP App and reinstalled it, by the time I tried to restore the backup it showed an error message, so I uploaded a previous backup and tried again with the theme, I activated it and used the “activate plugins” button, it showed another error message saying there were a Ajax error on the three plugins, so when I clicked on the “manually update plugins”, there was again the “site has technical issues” message.
Please help!!!!
Hi! I got the same situation, I couldn’t be able to open any page after that message appeared, I got into the cPanel and made a backup, then re-installed the WP app but when I tried to restore the backup, it showed an error message, please, I really need help!
Hi, I upload the theme via FTP, theme installed but images can’t display why? Here is my site http://www.mbnsnews.co.in
Hello Vlad,
Thanks for your answer
1. We have installed Sucuri, but the plugin is disabled now and the problem continues. The error we receive is 403.
2. All the php.ini directives are ok.
3. I have just talked with our host and all is ok.
Regards.
Thank you. Yes, I have already verified the removal of all plugins before installing the Newspaper update. I’ve done it a second time. And the error message when trying to edit a page with TagDiv Composer persists. What else can I do? Can you help me solve it please: Thank you.
Hello !
Usually the issue about mobile version beign rendered on desktop is due to cache. Please make sure to use a cache plugin ( we do recommend using WP Super Cache: https://tagdiv.com/wp-super-cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ )
Let me know if this was helpfull !
Thank you !

I use TagDiv Composer to build the pages of my site. Today, when trying to modify the home page with TagDiv Composer, I could not do it because the following message appeared on the screen:
“Errors at elements: 1 (models): 0 (dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL + Z / CTRL + SHIFT + Z)”
The same problem occurs when trying to edit any other page.
I have emptied the cache, I have removed plugins, and the blocking persists.
Last week I installed the latest Newspaper update, I don’t know if it will have anything to do with it.
Please, can you help me solve it?
I previously installed a wp rocket plugin. but now I have removed the wp rocket plugin also have cleared cache. The problem is still going on the homepage. https://www.vodafonecustomercarenumber.online/
Hello !
Please try and set again your newsletter, delete it and install a new one.
Let me know how this ends !
Thank you !
Hello !
None of your pages do seem to have Newspaper Theme installed. Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL non theme-related plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Thank you !
Hi,
In order to have the same layout you’ll need to install the Magazine demo from Newsmag> demos, you can check more about the installing demos here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-installing-demos/
Thank you!
Hi,
First please make a full backup to your website, change the theme with a default one, delete the Newsmag theme and install the new version, you can check our guide for theme update from here ->https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/
