Hello!
However, page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique from this point of view. Let me explain some of these factors and maybe they give you some starting points for optimizing your website. A good choice for the page speed, it could be the mobile layout which contains less elements because it can improve a bit your page speed.
There is all about the DOM. Which means you need to have less elements into that container or row, as such on that page. I can suggest you only to take care of how many elements you use on that page. You can try to use a cache plugin or a plugin which can minify the page or combine some elements in order to reduce its size.

Actually, we have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use the mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to disable the Mobile Theme plugin.
Thank you for understanding!
It seems that minifying css and java has no impact on the mobile theme plugin as it is apparently a completely separate thing. My questions are:
How to serve WebP images on mobile theme plugin?
How to minify css and java etc on mobile theme plugin? (WP Rocket works for PC but has no impact on mobile theme plugin.

Hi,
If the problem appears only when you are not logged in, then it is related to a cache plugin or optimize plugin that is minify the javascript or css.
I will recommend to check the settings from those plugins to find out the option that is causing the problem.
Thank you!

Hi,
You can do this using an extra code in a child theme, the cod needs to be set in functions.php – https://i.imgur.com/e808cIh.png all the necessary details can be obtained from this article – https://wpadminify.com/kb/how-to-remove-wordpress-rss-feed-urls-from-page-header/
Thank you!
Hi,
The problem is caused by the LiteSpeed cache, I think that you use the option to minify the css and js. Please disable it, delete the object cache file https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/ and check after.
Thank you!
Hi,
I think that you need to do a fresh install with the theme and WordPress. I think that you made a lot of changes in the code, or that you use some plugins.
I checked and you use LiteSpeed, this plugin interferes with the theme if you minify the css and js.
Thank you!
Hello @sashos!
Please check the solutions presented in this thread: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/minifying-css-prevents-google-fonts-from-loading/

Hi there,
I have issue where TD Cloud Library plugin consumed high CPU. Im facing this issue after configuring Flyingpress plugin. This is my server spek:
1. Running on Cloudways with 2GB of RAM and 1 CPU Core
2. Flying press plugin with optimization activated including CSS and JS minify
The logs:
[0x00007f827e414e50] __construct() ../public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/includes/tdb_functions.php:287
[0x00007f827e414d60] {closure}() ../public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php:308
[0x00007f827e414c80] apply_filters() ../public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php:332
Thank you
Thanks Calin, those are good advices. Actually I’m satisfied with the loading speed having done a very good job of optimizing on-page, now I’m just looking for a lightweight plugin to minify a couple of .js and a couple of .css , nomore, that would be a way to …break through the sound barrier. Ciao, thank you, I wish you well.

Sorry if I get hooked to old message, but I think I’m on the subject and it will interests many: if you really were under torture by the Pirates of the Caribbean, which plugin would you recommend to minify css and js to do as less damage as possible to the theme?
Thank you, an hug

Hi, I have disabled everything that could interfere as suggested, so I disabled the combine CSS and JS function and also disabled the minify CSS and JS, I cleared the cache both on site and on Cloudflare, I also reloaded the header but the problem continues to persist, I can’t live access the menu and search as you can check yourself, so what’s the problem now that it won’t let me use a theme function? Thank you.
This is the link to the site https://prezzicrazy.it/
Hello,
yes the code was:
.td-main-menu-logo img {
position:fixed;
}
I removed it but I still see the problem.
Yes I have wp-rocket with minifying the css and js. Is there any way to exclude it?
Thanks
Hello,
Please check if you have set a custom code for the logo in the Theme panel -> Mobile Theme -> Custom code -> custom css.
Also, do you use a plugin for minifying the css and js?
Thank you!
Hi, I released my Page speed guide for the Newspaper theme back in 2017. This is the 2023 version for the same.
My Website: https://medicforyou.in
Current Stats:
1. Pagespeed Mobile
2. Pagespeed Desktop
3. GTMetrix
4. Pingdom
Resources used:
Plugins
1. Ad Inserter
2. Akismet
3. Contact Form 7
4. Converter for Media
5. Formidable Forms
6. Formidable Forms Pro (Paid)
7. Inline Related Posts
8. Jetpack
9. LuckyWP Table of Contents
10. RankMath (free version)
11. Regenerate Thumbnails
12. tagDIV Cloud Library
13. tagDIV Composer
14. tagDIV Mobile Theme
15. tagDIV Social Counter
16. Wordfence Security
17. WP Rocket
18. wpDiscuz
CDN– Only Cloudfare Free with tweaks and rules
Hosting– GoDaddy (sucks but will switch later)
Plugin Based Tweaks Worth Mentioning
1. Ad Inserter
Newspaper mobile does not provide extended in-article ads. This is why I switched to Ad-inserter to apply rules to mobile and desktop versions. Works like a charm.
4. Converter for Media
Free webP conversion recommended by Google. Lightweight and also converts your previously uploaded files to webP as well.
6. Formidable Forms Pro- Paid
I bought this to have a quiz and calculator. To be honest, I spent more than 30 hours but still could not learn the conditional tags and essential formatting. Regardless, this is broken on the mobile theme plugin and has a drastic speed impact on the page. Definitely not recommended.
8. Jetpack
I am still to figure out what is the role of Jetpack in SEO and speed. Anyways, I have kept it to not destroy my existing SEO.
11. Regenerate thumbnails
I would recommend regenerating all thumbnails at a time when your visitors are not active on the website. It has some memory usage and should be done in a free environment.
MOST IMPORTANT
I browsed through forums to find that TD Standard Pack is not an essential plugin if you know how to develop your theme properly using TD Composer.
I was already using pre-installed templates. So, I simply deactivated the plugin to check if any pages were broken. Since there were none, I deleted the plugin.
It has huge speed impact and I definitely recommend creating your own templates rather than relying on the easy way out. Additionally, I would recommend you start with a pre-built website, and start editing the following Cloud Templates:
14. tagDIV Mobile Theme
If you have to choose performance over quality, I’d recommend quickly installing this plugin. It is tempting to give your users a wonderful experience, but at what cost? Reduced speed only drops your visitors from search engines. Most of us are bloggers, meaning we rely on Google and Bing for our visitors (in long term). I’d recommend using it without caring for those beautiful blocks or glittering images.
16. Wordfence Security
If you are on a shared hosting like me and using Wordfence, I would suggest you enable performance tweaks.
17. WP Rocket
I used AutoOptimize and various other plugins to speedily my website. I did achieve results, but the “remove unused CSS” is beyond my scope. It requires hours of finding the CSS and deleting them. Even if you understand what I am saying, you are still bound to make mistakes.
I switched to WP Rocket a few months back. It cost me 59 USD for a year. What did I get? Here are tweaks that I was not able to achieve previously (the rest all can be achieved with free plugins):
18. WpDiscuz
The CSS files are annoying and I believe minifying CSS and loading
wpDiscuz> Settings> General Settings> Enable Use WordPress native AJAX functions and Minify JS and CSS Files to Optimize Page Loading Speed.
If you have not installed it yet, I highly recommend you don’t get lured by it. Stick to traditional Comments from WordPress itself. They won’t cost you any speed damage.
Cloudfare Optimizations
I would not go much into detail about this. But I will summarize what I have done:
1. Optimization Tab- Tick marked all options except AMP URL and Rocket Loader (only if you are using WP Rocket because it will break your search button and menu on mobile with a Newspaper theme).
2. Caching- Tickmarked all except Always Online and Development mode.
3. Rules- I have set two rules which make Cloudfare cache all contents on my website except my admin panel. You can set them using the following image, make sure you replace your website name with www or without www (and no HTTP or HTTPS) and in THE ORDER THEY ARE (ByPass at 1st, Cache everything at 2nd).
Image:
4. Scrape Shield- Tick marked all of the available features (3 in total).
Currently, my concerns revolve around the following:
I hope this guide helps you all. Please leave any feedback or queries. Best of luck fellas.
Hello,
Please let me know what cache plugin you use. Did you use a plugin to minify the css/js?
Thank you!
Hi,
It seems you have some plugins to minify the css and js https://i.imgur.com/MN89x1t.png; maybe this interferes with the theme.
Please deactivate the option, clear the cache and check the results.
Thank you!
Thanks for passing along that idea. When I turned off minify, the font showed up correctly.
Hello,
Please provide the link to your website.
Did you use a plugin for minifying the css and js?
Thank you!
Hello,
I just checked, and now the font is Oswald, https://i.imgur.com/Jl0Z6ve.png, but it seems you have some plugin to minify the css and js; maybe this interferes with the theme.
Thank you!
Hi,
This is not a theme problem, it seems that the problem has been caused by the case plugin you are using -> https://i.imgur.com/xeSY6wQ.png this is interfering with the theme javascript and CSS. Most of the time is related to the minify CSS and javascript options.
Thank you!
Here is more information on this issue
As mentioned. If I turn off “Guest Mode” in litespeed or use another plugin. When clicking on my site from google.com search the site comes out broken.
Now. With guest mode turned on. And I add the following to css excludes in litepseed. The site will again be broken when clicking on it from google search (the front page and other pages such as posts)
tenup-tabs-style-inline-css
global-styles-inline-css
(tried removing these to see if would fix the menu issues with the drop down arrows not working and now also seeing issues with the left hand sidebar not being responsive when clicking into artciles from google search (from time time and only on some articles)
The same will also happen to cloudflare disabled and also with cloudflare turned on but told not no minify anything (proving again its the theme and not CDN) or plugins casuing the issue
