Hi there – is there any way to customise the Mobile Theme delivered via Plugin/AMP? Want to add a few elements if possible?
Hello,
Normally, the settings that you have made in the Theme Panel or with tagDiv Composer will not be affected by the update of the theme, but if you made changes in theme files, then yes, the files will be overwritten.
Also, before update please make a full backup to all files and the database, in case something goes wrong. => https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Also, for the ad box, please let me know what version you use, mobile responsive or mobile page.
Please try to make the steps form this video https://www.screencast.com/t/1FkjSwB9
Thank you!
Yes. I tried to do it through the tagDiv Composer, but this particular block is not visible through the mobile editor for some reason. But at the same time it is visible on the website in the mobile version.
What could be the reason?
Also wanted to clarify: If I made changes to the CSS theme and blocks through the tagDiv Composer, will the changes be lost if I click install new updates for this theme?
Hi, I wish to showcase some tips I’d like to have in the tagDiv Newspaper theme.
Advice:
- Specify, for those who use other cache plugins, such as js not to minify or exclude from the cache
- Add a function that excludes the display of the WordPress bar for subscribers (or even for others)
- Enable the login on mobile synchronized with the page created with the tagDiv Opt-In plugin (author name must not lead to author template)
- Ability to generate PDF for the invoice or maybe be able to connect to external services for generating the PDF
many of these tips would avoid installing a child theme to add code to function.php
Bugs:
- tagDiv Opt-In – currency in EURO € absent (and others)
- Inability to translate or edit new entries (TagDiv Opt-In) on tagdiv composer or theme panel
- The login menu block (tagDiv Composer) lacks the ability to translate items “Account details” – “Subscription”
- Password reset not working (it works if I force it from the user panel)
- Some blocks (block 23) do not have the possibility to modify some parameters such as: hide comments, author name, in block 23 not even the modification of characters works
- Fix Background video self-hosted 100% with and heigh
- Google Tag Manager does not work on the Hero block, on normal button yes; add the possibility to set GTM differently in the two buttons on the Hero block
Will tagDiv Opt-In become paid?
This is not meant to be a criticism, but I would love to have these options
Regards,
Simone
Hello,
Please let me know what plugin for the cache you use.
If the cache plugin does not have mobile support then the mobile theme version can be delivered instead. The solution would be to use the recommended WP Super Cache plugin instead and activate these settings (especially the mobile device support): https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thank you!
Hello @dharma3d!
If you use the Mobile Theme plugin, then you can not have this element on the mobile version. Please note that this element is working with cloud templates.
Thank you!
Hello Jan!
They should work together for pages and posts too.
If you’ll use Mobile theme plugin, then you can not edit the pages with TagDiv Composer.
You have only some settings for this layout, which you can find in Theme panel -> Mobile Theme. The same thing for AMP plugin too. Please note that if a page is made by Composer, than the content won’t be displayed on Mobile theme version. You should create the content with the Mobile Editor.
Thank you!
Hi, in an apparently random manner, the homepage switches to the Mobile theme on my desktop and when I log into the WordPress dashboard and click back to the homepage while logged in, it returns to the default homepage I set. Please advise
Alejandro
Can this pop-up be shown on a mobile theme?
Hello,
After upgrading to 11.4 most text items are centered not left justified (exceptions are Post titles, Headers, photo captions and descriptions in grid blocks).
How do I get text Left Justified again??
http://www.anitasfeast.com/blog/2021/06/schist-village/
We are run on WordPress 5.8.2 using Gutenberg and Kadence Blocks, and have installed and activated AMP, tagDiv Cloud Library, tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Mobile Theme, tagDiv Social Counter and tagDiv Standard Pack.
Caching is done with SiteGround Optimizer and Cloudflare.
Kind regards,
Tom Fakler
Hello
Am I missing something – it seems to me, that Mobile Theme and AMP can only show posts/articles and not all of my Pages. So its useless on Newspaper websites that uses many pages . I am trying this on a staging server, and all it shows are posts.
Is this fair to conclude ?
Jan
Hello Alex,
If you have the Litespeed cache plugin, please make sure you enabled the cache for mobile -> https://www.litespeedtech.com/support/forum/threads/issue-with-mobile-caching-in-lscache-plugin.17148/
Unfortunately, we have not tested Litespeed Cache Plugin, it can interfere with the theme when doesn’t recognize mobile theme plugins and mobile pages, for example, but you can try it.
We recommend using the WP Super Cache plugin https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thank you!
Hello,
Having this issue for a while on mobile devices. The homepage remains cached for mobile browsers even though the website does not have a caching module installed. Each visitor has to manually empty his browser cache or atleast refresh the homepage if he visited the site in the past, otherwise he will see that “cached” page still. The server has a cache solution, Litespeed, but even after testing and clearing cache server side the problem still remained active for mobile.
Using Newspaper theme, with a mobile homepage set up, the link is https://clubferoviar.ro.
Tried using different widgets for mobile to see if it is maybe a widget issue, not gathering the information from WP posts, but all manifest the same way.
For desktop it’s working fine.
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks alot,
ALex
Hello @thoughtful!
There is a limitation of the category siblings height and they are displaying, but can not be seen there.
Please apply this CSS code in the theme panel -> mobile theme -> custom code -> custom css.
.td-category {
max-height: 75px!important;}
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
I’m trying to make sure categories show all topics but when using the mobile theme, it is only displaying 6 out of the 8 categories as shown in the linked images (top image is desktop site and bottom image is the mobile theme):
The url is https://www.vetbabble.com/dogs/
Is there a CSS fix or otherwise that can all all topics to display properly in the mobile theme?
Hi,
1. I see, unfortunately, for the moment there is no option to disable the mobile theme from the woocommerce pages, sorry! The only solution that is see is to disable the mobile theme plugin or use it only for amp and for pagespeed you can use a mobile page template -> https://i.imgur.com/NEwAMx8.png
2. Yes, the mobile theme will apply a simple design to make the content faster, please make a test, disable the plugin and check with responsive version and in case that you need pagespeed just use the mobile page template.
3. According to our guide when you are using the mobile theme plugin the pages content need to be created using the mobile editor only -> https://i.imgur.com/l1UARk4.png
Thank you!
hello , i have updated to 11.4 and mobile templates that have been created couldn’t be opened or modified also there is big mobile menu appeared on my site but the most important things are mobile templates I cant even open them to edit .. both AMP and MOBILE THEME tAG DIV PLUGINS ARE DELETED I DONT USE THEM.
Hi Lalit,
In your case the date can not be inline with the author because those are bigger then the allocate width and will go outside the screen. Also, since are two different elements you can not brake the date, but you can use a custom css, like this one:
.td-post-date .entry-date{
word-break: break-all;
}
header .td-module-meta-info .td-post-date{
display: inline;
}
This code need to be set in the theme panel > mobile theme> custom code> css.
Unfortunately, then mobile theme do not have any option to display the author image, to do this will more efficient to make a mobile page template -> https://prnt.sc/246r6f1 in this way you can display the author image and also you can adjust the design for author and date.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello,
In addition to the white space problem at the bottom of my site I previously mentioned, there is now extra unwanted white space to the right of the site which adds a horizontal scrollbar to the bottom of every page where there is a sidebar as the width of the site has now increased for some reason. This is very frustrating because I believe the Ezoic ads seem to be causing this problem, but I am creating this post so that you guys can check and verify that this is not a problem with the Newspaper theme.
When I log in to the site the Ezoic ads do not show along with the white space at the bottom of the site as well as the horizontal scroll bar not showing. But when I view the site while logged out in incognito mode where the Ezoic ads show, the white space at the bottom and to the right returns along with the horizontal scrollbar. I have created a video explaining this problem, uploaded it to dropbox, and sent the link via email to contact@tagdiv.com
How can this problem be fixed as the horizontal scrollbar takes even more of the very limited screen space especially on mobile devices?
Hello,
The mobile theme is having some issues with my site.
1. How do I disable it on the woocommerce page? it is overwriting the design I have developed and not allowing filter plugin installed.
2. It is overwriting some woocommerce plugin designs on other locations on the website.
see my design: https://prnt.sc/245jf51
vs mobile theme results: https://prnt.sc/245jikj
3.It is just not showing a short code i developed for the home page, see my without mobile theme:
https://prnt.sc/245k09y
With the mobile theme it;s just not showing it at all, https://prnt.sc/245k3o9.

.author-box-wrap {display: none;}
Thank you!
Hello,
Thanks. I’ve manage to fix it. It’s more or less a bug on your theme.
Anyway, please can you help with how I can remove this mobile background (please see the attached image)?
http://e.pc.cd/Tr1otalK
I have check everywhere in the theme and i can’t find how to customise that side. Basically, on mobile, the homepage is showing a different menu from the other pages. The other pages are showing customization from the theme mobile settings.
Please can you help?
