Hello,
I have a problem with the mobile theme of newspaper. I set the mobile theme for the home page with composer but it always displays the amp version which is graphically chilling. Can you help me solve the problem?

Hello,
Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
You can add the menu on the top, only if you use the mobile responsive and mobile page.
Add a new row on the top, and in that row, you can add a mobile horizontal menu => https://www.screencast.com/t/myGxLawpd0XT and assign the menu.
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
Hello,
If you activated the mobile theme plugin, then your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH ) also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple).
If you want to have the responsive version you can disable the mobile theme plugin on that homepage from the Gutenberg editor using the following option => https://www.screencast.com/t/axXRJsWby
Also, this is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
You have activated the mobile theme, please deactivate the mobile theme and you will get the desired result…
Yes I see now in the video
I have enabled mobile theme, and it works great for us…but with that enabled, I cant create mobile pages for each page 🙂
Hello,
1.Normally, the AMP is used for posts => https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
2. Mobile page can be edited with tagDiv Composer, this option is going to copy the whole desktop content and paste it automatically into the new mobile page for easier content manipulation, if you add a new element on the desktop page, you need to add the element in the mobile page, please check this guide about mobile page -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
3. If you use the mobile responsive version, you can edit the header with tagDiv Composer, select the header logo, select to display of the viewport for the phone and in the General tab you can change the logo => https://www.screencast.com/t/b5845uJD0
4. If you referring to have an individual footer and header on each page, you can use the Global header/footer template or you can set an individual template on each single post templates from cloud templates. => https://tagdiv.com/how-to-create-a-footer-with-newspaper-theme/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-manager/ -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbkYVyj1__Q -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nE51MfLV7hE => https://www.screencast.com/t/Mn1Wq5io16
5. No, in the Gutenberg editor exist an option to display the content on mobile from the preview option => https://www.screencast.com/t/37GIHnieX9K
8. All the Cloud Templates Library can be edited with tagDiv Composer => https://www.screencast.com/t/fEzxoWDyam -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyoDUiWZcPQ
10. The Mobile Template are the templates for the mobile page if you want to import one.
For 6,7 and 9 I am not sure I fully understand what you what to mean, please provide more details.
Thank you!
I had the same problem. This CSS code helped. Use it in custom code of mobile theme settings:-
.single .td-post-sharing {
opacity: 1;
}
upgraded to 10.4 and everything worked. Loading was also improved better with the CSS selector. Unfortunately I had to go back to 10.391 because the AMP pages were giving so many errors. Having had to install the WP AMP PLUGIN together with the MOBILE (before I only had the second to travel light and it worked very well) the graphics had changed and the pages had many errors. I tried to clear cache, plug in put and remove plugins but nothing changed. Even in the end the mobile PLUg had disappeared, despite the fact that from the plugin page it gave me activated there was no longer even the option in the theme panel : “MOBILE” disappear… . then new system with AMP with uglier graphics, anonymous, in a broken page and full of errors. I hope it settles soon because the new update was terrific as a loading improvement (from 15 to 55 mobile, from 60 to 96 desktops) doing nothing. Thank you
Hello,
Usually, this problem when the mobile theme is displaying on the desktop, then you have a cache conflict, the plugin for the cache that you are using do not recognize the mobile and desktop cache. We recommend using WP Super Cache plugin https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
Also, for tagDiv Composer, please make sure all theme requirements are set as in our guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ in special please make sure this code is set in .htaccess => https://www.screencast.com/t/D3i2ZA7K
Also, if the problem persists please check if you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Thanks, confirm, in “Mobile Theme -> Custom Code” is working.
Hello,
For the moment can be solved using CSS => https://www.screencast.com/t/UgKHYPgHwKL :
.single .td-post-sharing {
opacity: 1;
}
Set the code in Theme Panel -> Mobile Theme -> Custom Code => https://www.screencast.com/t/St204VtFl3NU
Make sure to clear your cache.
Thank you!

Dear Newspaper,
This was a great theme, but there have been outages on my site in the past week.
I use the Pulses Pro preset theme for the web version. And the Minty mobile theme for the mobile page.
I always had to experiment turning the mobile plugin & AMP plugin on or off so many times I can’t remember which setting made it work. Nothing works now no matter how many times I try.
I tried to look for potential plugins that would create conflicts with the theme but that didn’t work. It only made it impossible now for me to do a time capsule restore.
My domain provider was able to reverse me back to the 10.3.9 version. Should I try to update again to 10.4 or should I wait a bit? And how do I fix my site in the meantime?

Thanks in advance,
Sean
There are many issues after applying mobile theme.
Mobile theme is seen in desktop.
Only pages become blank not posts only pages.
Speed still sucks.
And jesperj that theme update that you said didn’t exist?! Yeah, so maybe check your info out before calling people a liar.
After rollback here is the update: http://prnt.sc/10zhhea
The missing part you couldn’t find?! Yeah, rollback and there it is: http://prnt.sc/10zhil0
And the removal of ALL CSS and jacking up of the blockquote? Yeah, back to normal here: http://prnt.sc/10zhjb1
AND the mobile view is back to normal as well.
Hey guys,
Im having some issues with the theme.
First one is that when in mobile theme – settings , when i select mobile on “use mobile theme for”, it shows the mobile version even in desktop. The only way is to set it on AMP, but i want to show the mobile version on mobiles, for improving speed.
Also, when i go to edit my main page with tagdiv composer, every time i want to set a block or function to the site, it doesnt refresh.. i just keeps loading. Also, when i want to delete a block, the button that give me the option to acept the changes keeps appearing after i click on it, also not loading the changes.
The website is http://www.zona-militar.com
Thanks!
Mariano
Its only in tagDiv Mobile Theme, if you disable tagDiv Mobile Theme, no have problem in mobile.
Please see and give quick fix!

Hi, @bettina!
After 10 days of walking in circles, here is the answer support team gave me:
“Since those elements are used on desktop too, no, you can not remove them. Or if you remove them will remove from everywhere (mobile and desktop).”
Why you made me send an email with credentials when you could easily have answered me here, in the forum, is beyond my understanding, but, at least now, I know that I should not be bothered to improve my website with this theme…
Thanks!
Hi I have a lot of questions regarding the mobile versions of the website. http://www.profile.co.mz
1 – Should I use AMP or not. When I use AMP the content doesn’t show on some pages but it does in the home. When should we use one or the other?
2 – In the tagdiv composer there is a button called create the mobile page. Should I use it? When I do It creates a copy of the page that’s ok. But If I change something on the Main page how can I update on the Mobile? Do I need to change it in the mobile version too every time?
3 – Mobile Menu in the home the mobile menu is correct. On other pages, it shows an old logo version. I’ve changed this in the theme panel area for mobile but the changes don’t reflect.
4 – I do have different header and footer versions on different pages?
5 – In the post edit area (not the tagdiv) the normal there is a mobile editor? Where is that content reflecting?
Thank you
M.
As much as I was excited to update to newspaper 10.4, the share icons have disappeared from the mobile theme. They are pretty much there on the desktop version. Tried various things but nothing worked and there is an awkward space left in place of sharing buttons. The only option was to restore back to previous version and everything went fine
Hello,
I am using cloud hosting WP super cache is not working fine. On the other hand i am using breeze cache plugin.
Moreover, As per your suggestion i enable WP super cache and activate my mobile theme but its showing same mobile theme for mobile and desktop.
for now I have redirected / to /?amp=1
and /amp/article to /article/?amp=1
I have set the mobile theme to mobile + amp.
I am looking for max speed ideally.
Hello,
When the mobile version is displaying on desktop or the mobile responsive version on mobile, then the problem is from a cache plugin, because you are using the mobile theme plugin, the mobile layout will have a different design and most of the cache plugins do not recognize this and provide the mobile version for desktop (or vice versa). We recommend using WP Super Cache plugin with the settings from our guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
After update today 10.4, share options not work in mobile theme, not appear, space in blank only in mobile, desktop is working.
Thanks
Hello guys, I have just switched from Soledad to Newspaper.
Soledad had a URL structure of /amp/ whereas Newspaper uses ?amp
Now all of the /amp/ URLs in Google present a 404.
I am guessing I need a 301 redirect? do I redirect /amp/ to ?amp or /?
I am also not sure on best practices regarding the mobile theme and AMP. Any suggestions?
