I changed the design of the Blockquote. But it won’t display on the mobile theme.

.td_block_related_posts .td-related-right {
display:none;
}
.td-main-menu-logo img {
margin-top: 5px;
}
.-hd-los-game-slider .-hd-los-game-slider-game.-hd-label-LIVE {
background-color: #2e7d32;
}
.text-bellow-footer{
width:100%;
height:90%;
background:#222222;
color:#666666;
font-size: 70%;
}
.td_block_related_posts .td-related-right {
display:none;
}

blockquote {
font-size: 20px;
line-height: 30px;
text-align: left;
margin: 0;
text-transform: inherit;
}
blockquote:before {
content: "\f205";
font-family: "dashicons";
font-style: normal;
position: absolute;
left: -1.25em;
font-size: 2em;
top: -0.5em;
color: #2e7d32;
display: block;
}
blockquote p {
font-size: 20px !important;
line-height: 30px !important;
color: #4d4d4d !important;
text-align: left !important;
text-transform: inherit !important;
}
@media all and (max-width: 992px) {
blockquote:before {
left: -1em;
}
}

@media all and (max-width: 640px) {
blockquote:before {
top: -30px;
left: -25px;
}
}

Hi. I have also made sure that the theme was installed correctly and deactivated all plugins and it still does not seem to appear correctly on mobile and tablet devices. Please let me know what else I can do to fix this issue I am having. Thank you.

Hi,

In order to hide the search button on mobile please go in WP Dashboard Newspaper>Theme panel > Custom code> Custom css and paste this code there

#td-header-search-button-mob
{
display: none;
}

Hello mcmusty,

If you want to have something like this, you should edit the theme core files and then, use such a custom CSS code to display those elements you want only for mobile devices. This task involves doing such custom work and we cannot provide something like this at the moment, sorry! If you are not aware to do this, you should consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work! Usually, we recommend the developers from studio.envato.com.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello Linda28,

Unfortunately, all of these plugins have not been tested with the theme and therefore, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not as expected, with the theme, sorry! You should make it yourself some tests with the plugin and also, you will have to remove the default mobile menu which appears by default in theme, using the
display: none for that element. It’s just a suggestion but you have to make some tests because we cannot provide additional customizations.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello tanose,

Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized.
-> https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=ro&url=https%3A%2F%2Finsanertech.com%2F&tab=mobile

Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit our requirements.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. If you want to read other views from our users, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/
Also, check all of your Ad Spots and if you have entered any suspicious code through them, remove all of them and check the results without them.

One of our top members here on the forum wrote his own optimization tutorial here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/ and here -> https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/

Basically, these are the theme requirements
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Another useful gui for increasing the page speed can be found here -> https://kinsta.com/blog/google-pagespeed-insights/

Hi,

What exactly does not work regarding the socials you mention? if you mean the Facebook like button, seems to be disabled currently on your posts.
The Like button should function as it does in the theme demo, there is one at the bottom of this post for example
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wordpress-news-magazine-charts-the-most-fashionable-new-york-couples-in-2016/
Facebook share works from what I can see, I checked one of your posts.

The WhatsApp share option will be visible only on mobile and when used it will open the mobile WhatsApp application and the post can be shared. This button will not be visible on desktop.

Thanks

I recently changed the font on my Newspaper theme to Titillium Web and while it looks as it should on desktop, on mobile and tablet devices the font doesn’t show the correct weights.

Hello! I’d like to disable the theme’s mobile menu so that I can use a custom mobile menu. I am using the WP Mega Menu Pro on desktop and would like to use the Superfly Menu on mobile. How can I go about doing that?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

1. Using amp for mobile your menu will disappear, please read more about this in this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-menu-where/

2. If I understand correctly you desire to have a different layout/theme, if is that you need to install the mobile theme plugin and you can make changes for your mobile webe site if this is your wish ( https://www.screencast.com/t/YAjLMHz7 ).

Thank you for your understanding.

Hello,

I saw that you are using the Mobile Theme and that’s why the mobile theme layout is different than the desktop mode. Read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thanks.

The mobile homepage is extremely different to when i make it smaller.
http://puu.sh/By1Nd/edb56f3e99.jpg
Here is an example above but the website is http://random8bit.com

I understand breakpoints, but it’s almost a completely different view.

also loving the theme, it works flawlessly little bit confusing but I am usually only a backend developer not frontend.

Hi,

I initially checked with an Android phone which worked. Now that you mention I also tested with an iPhone and there is a problem, the scroll does not work for the grid in your website.
It works however with the same grid type in the live demo, so it seems to be specific to your website.

Try to place that grid in a new page, check if it works there on mobile.

If there is a problem in the new page as well, could be caused by a plugin. Try as a quick test to deactivate all non-theme plugins, clear the cache if you have any, purge CDN if you use it.

Hi,

You can find out how AMP works from online tutorials. Some topics I found here
https://stxnext.com/blog/2017/12/20/googles-amp-future-mobile-explained-examples/
https://dynomapper.com/blog/21-sitemaps-and-seo/243-what-is-google-amp-and-how-does-it-work

Using /amp is to test AMP pages, website visitors will not have to do that. After activating AMP on your website Google will detect this and cache the AMP variant of the post/page.
This AMP variant will be served by Google, through the Google search results page, for mobile users.

For example this theme demo has AMP activated
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_crypto/
Searching for one of the posts from that demo in Google search on a mobile (or mobile emulator) will return the AMP variant of the post
https://www.screencast.com/t/hM0bcQNU
The AMP variant will be much faster to load than non-AMP.

Thanks

Hi,

This can be done with a plugin ( see an example here https://wordpress.org/plugins/mobile-only-desktop-only-content/ ), but we do not recommend you one because we don’t try any of them with our theme.

Thank you for your understending.

Hi,

I tested this on mobile, for me it works. Some screenshots
https://www.screencast.com/t/DjzChsHgk
https://www.screencast.com/t/W28wwfsV
I used the mobile Chrome browser in my test.

What happens if you try the same grid type on mobile, from the live theme demo
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-10/

Thanks

Calin

hi,

That will happen on low resolution, to resolve your problem you need to add a custom CSS
go in Newspaper > Theme panel > Custom cod >custom css and paste this code there :

@media
(max-width: 600px){
.td_block_single_image .tdm-mobile-full{
height: 125px!Important;
}
}

You can change the height and max-width on your desire.
I hope this will help you.

Thank you.

So that error appears when you access AMP versions of posts? Did you maybe add any code in the theme files or theme panel, or maybe by a child theme? Or maybe modified the AMP plugin? Temporarily remove theme if you did and test again.

Regarding the mobile theme plugin, once activated plugins don’t deactivate themselves. Unless this is defined in their code maybe. Our mobile theme plugin doesn’t have an auto deactivation function.

Could be insufficient resources maybe, you could check that
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Or maybe a server problem. You could also ask your hosting to check if there are any errors in the server error log, that might indicate why plugins deactivate themselves.

HI! We are using Newspaper theme version 8.
Is there a way to select whether a content (for example an article or a category) can be published on the mobile version only?
That is, we would like to be able to choose that post A is visible only on the desktop version, while post B is visible on both versions.
Thanks for your help.

Default Adsense ads were used I believe, such as this ad example
https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/181950?hl=en
Page level ads from what I can find have a different implementation. They seem to only require a one time entering of the ad code in the theme header, then they should automatically appear
https://wpism.com/page-level-ads-adsense-wordpress/
https://adsense.googleblog.com/2016/04/AdSense-page-level-ads.html
http://tipsarea.com/2016/04/30/how-to-add-google-page-level-ads-to-your-wordpress-site/
https://www.shoutmeloud.com/adsense-page-level-ads-monetize-mobile-site.html

I don’t know much about adsense ads, only what I can find online. So I could be wrong.

Hello,

Most likely you are using the mobile theme plugin. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The mobile theme has it;s own ads section.

Thank you!

I have found the culprit, the theme keeps looking for this
http://192.168.0.208/wp_011_sound_radar/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/mobile-menu.jpg”

The site has been developped offline with wamp64 and it looks like a left over from when I was starting to build with the sound radar theme. Any thoughts on where this specific link might be referenced ? I’ve looked but can’t seem to pinpoint it’s location. It takes a whopping 21 seconds to load…

I might uninstall the sound radar demo but I fear it will mess up the design.
