Hi Simion,
many thanks for your feedback!
I’ve tested the demo page you shared, and works fine from all devices and browsers.
It’s not easy to say under which circumstances my personal devices (mac and windows 10 pc) don’t visualize my page correctly, cause they just don’t, as shown in the screenshots I’ve shared.
The page that doesn’t work and I would like to be the home page moving forward is the following:
https://www.sgaialand.it/sgaialand-magazine-home/
With the relative code:
[vc_row][vc_column][td_block_big_grid_4 category_id=”” td_grid_style=”td-grid-style-1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=""][vc_column][td_block_video_youtube playlist_yt=”Aq9mvcNmX5A, uHh58pMmXJA, nelwu6quals, VMEqn3vEXu0, PPpEnoZb6nQ, AuG1UAcexNs, LPmlnk7FLXU, Wjb-eYCCsK4, 5-vxMQ-aCLQ, ecsnsnPHxO0, sHZ9ir5YyQU, LH4A-AyLUc0, VY3sAFcU6ok” playlist_title=”SgaiaTube”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="2/3"][td_block_4 custom_title="ARTICOLI RECENTI" offset="3" block_template_id="" limit="4"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3"][td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_1"][td_block_17 custom_title=”SGAIA BLOG” category_id=”1471″ limit=”1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][td_block_4 category_id="14" custom_title="EVENTI" block_template_id="" limit="3"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][td_block_14 custom_title=”LO SCATTO DELLE MERAVIGLIE” category_id=”1156″ limit=”3″ ajax_pagination=”load_more” td_ajax_filter_type=”” tdc_css=”eyJhbGwiOnsicGFkZGluZy1ib3R0b20iOiIxIn19″ block_template_id=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="2/3"][td_block_11 category_id=”9″ limit=”3″ custom_title=”TRAVEL” tdc_css=”eyJhbGwiOnsiYm9yZGVyLXN0eWxlIjoiaW5oZXJpdCJ9fQ==”][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3"][td_block_3 custom_title="FOOD" category_id="5" limit="2" ajax_pagination="next_prev"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][td_block_instagram instagram_id="prendila_sgaia" instagram_header="off" instagram_images_per_row="5" instagram_number_of_rows="" instagram_margin="2" custom_title="I VOSTRI #PRENDILASGAIA SU INSTAGRAM" block_template_id=""][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row tdc_css="eyJhbGwiOnsicGFkZGluZy1ib3R0b20iOiIwIn19"][vc_column width="2/3"][td_block_2 custom_title="INNOVAZIONE" category_id="1" limit="8"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3"][vc_single_image image="16094" height="250" image_url="http://www.myho.it/" open_in_new_window="yes"][td_block_17 custom_title=”SPORT” limit=”1″ category_id=”704″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][td_block_3 custom_title="LIFESTYLE" category_id="726" limit="3"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][td_block_5 custom_title="FASHION & BEAUTY" limit="6" category_id="" category_ids="4, 7"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/3"][td_block_14 limit=”3″ custom_title=”ARTE” category_id=”700″][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3"][td_block_14 custom_title=”CULTURA & SPETTACOLO” limit=”3″ category_id=”2″][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3"][td_block_14 custom_title=”ARREDO & DESIGN” limit=”3″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
Maybe the two things are not related, but I noticed that from my personal devices I also can’t save changes in the theme panel. I can do it from the same computers that can visualize the page above correctly.
Hope this helps, thanks again for your help.
Kind regards
Hello,
We are trying to use your demonstration templates as a starting point for our website, however, when we install the demo we are not seeing the homepage as a page that we can edit to add content and categories. Have read your documentation multiple times and as still at a loss. Please let me know if we are doing something wrong as we cant seem to get the demo page to come through configured. Website here: http://www.askdrmanny.com
Thanks for your help.
Hello,
We have the template installed on our staging server and there is only one post in the alerts category however when the page loads, it shows the alert then it disappears and there is just white space. How can this be resolved so that if there is only one alert then it must not fade out?
Hello roberto722,
You can do this only for Latest Articles page template, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/ and for categories page, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/category-templates/
Hope this helps!
Thanks.
Hi,
The global setting affects the Related articles section in the post page. The template can be changed for blocks individually when building pages with the composer
– https://www.screencast.com/t/7livJ7jciH
There is no specific setting that would allow a particular block template to be set for those sections of the post only. The process is automatic and applies the block header style set in the theme panel globally.
Thanks
Hi,
You can create your website anyway you like. These are the available header styles
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/logo-favicon/
These are the footer templates
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Inside the pages you can use any element you want using the tagDiv composer. This is a tutorial bout the editor
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Three are a maximum of three columns in which rows on pages can be split.
In the theme live demo all the available blocks, big grids and full big grids can be seen (use the selection to cycle through the elements)

Hi,
The Latest articles pagination cannot be changed. You could disable this section, by selecting a different page template
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
Then place a block at the bottom of the page with the composer, and configure it with infinite loading. Blocks have this pagination available.
These are all the available blocks (use selection on the right to switch blocks)
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
And these are all the block options and settings
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thanks
Hi,
The post social sharing will probably not work properly, even if you managed to add them to the page templates. This should not be attempted, the sharing is designed and implemented in the post page.
There are many sharing plugins that you could try if you require additional sharing options. Please search for some plugins for sharing, and try a few of them until you find what is required.
Thanks
Hi,
On pages you can place any of the available elements, with the composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
There is also a Latest articles section that you can display on pages, this can be enabled by selecting the required page template
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
If you want to create a list on pages, you can use a text element
– https://www.screencast.com/t/PWOARHK2
Thanks
Hi,
I believe that is the Latest articles pagination. That cannot be disabled, you can only disable the whole Latest articles section, by selecting a different page template
– https://www.screencast.com/t/o59du52KBT
You could modify the page template file and remove the pagination from there
– https://www.screencast.com/t/9NP6n3rpK36B
Or maybe hide the pagination with CSS if you should consider that a solution

Thanks
Hello,
I know, Newspaper is compatible with AMP and Yoast SEO plugin, but are you seriously considering to support it by yourself? I mean, there’re many themes/templates on Envato that now supports AMP with a first-party plugin and a dedicated lightweight template for it (and to be honest there’s is a clone of your template, it has the same clean design, its name is Publisher).
The fact is that Google is now officialy supporting AMP and increasing indexing of the sites that use it (actually Google Adsense is suggesting me to use it to optimize my website.) so i’m extremely interested to use it. But here is the problem, there isn’t a dedicated AMP template that respect my website primary design (Newspaper) and i don’t want to buy another one, because i love Newspaper and i spent a lot of time to optimize my website at the best (92/90 Google Pagespeed).

So i’m here to ask you what are you doing about it.
Thanks.
Hi guys,
I have an issue with an empty sidebar on a specific page type.
When I activate the sidebar under Template settings > Woocommerce template > Shop Homepage + Archives – the respective sidebar created for those pages is displayed properly (note: the sidebar is hidden for the Shop Homepage with custom css). If I understand correct, the same sidebar should appear on the woocommerce search result page. When I do a search, products are displayed as results properly, and the space for the sidebar is reserved, but the sidebar itself doesn’t load. You can have a look here bit.ly/2vVaRz7 . How can I fix it?
Thanks
Wellll…. all our news is in Google News, and has been since 2005, without AMP 😉
And luckily AMP doesn’t create duplicate content issues, since the canonical link is designed just for that purpose and the AMP version links back to the real version to solve that (same way a print template does). With our old CMS on our big site, not using WP, and generating static shtml pages), we has static print and AMP pages, and both had canonical links, and the AMP template was built off the print template since there were not AMP plugins when we got started on that (and the main site didn’t use WP at that time, but now does).
For our news pages now (not using TD theme, but custom thing), we can load up the full news story with 2 images, logos, content, queries for related stories, etc., in 1.3 sec fully loaded. AMP version is quicker. But a scaled back print version would be just as quick.
All about the payload.
And with move to PHP7 + http/2 the speed will be even faster.
I guess we’re thinking over here that http/2 with a lean template would be better than AMP for user speed on mobile in the coming year. We’re playing with this anyway.
Doesn’t solve the page count issue — but of course Google wants you to run GA on AMP, and so that might even be the only truly workable solution for metrics on AMP pages.
Anyway — back to work before Labor Day holiday here …. cheers 🙂
Since amp ‘forbids’ client side scripting, it may be they are blocking anything being ‘run’ — or it may be that it runs first time, but then when cached on Google’s CDN for edge loading, the element script can’t run, as it’s not actually on the CDN.
There are folks doing stuff with Ajax with AMP for refreshing origin content; which is a bit like expiring the bucket on a CDN to refresh the local copy of content.
Personally, I’m of a mind, that AMP is an interim solution while wifi speed and phones play catchup. For instance, a new iPad PRO is more powerful than a 10 year old PC that HTML5 was built for.
In theory, one could argue that simply building your own print template with lean code, your desired custom elements like forms, or related post, or video, or whatever, could be ‘dressed down’ to lowest form like a print template, serve that for mobile and not even use AMP. Speed would be the same, especially if you’re already using CDN — and having a lightning bolt in SERPS doesn’t mean your page is better than everybody else’s page, just that it’s compatible, and might not even show up in SERPS, with all other things being equal with relevance, site age, content, etc.
Does the user experience suffer with AMP? Then why use it?
Questions for another time and place probably, but after nearly 2 years since the BETA, we’re kind of re-evaluating this for 2018, frankly.
Just more ramblings … 🙂
Hi,
When I am composing a page using Divtag composer. I add elements and click Edit Content and the WP Editor pops up but does not load, therefore I cannot edit this.
I was told by your support team – that I it could be a ‘plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache’
I disabled all plugins and cache it using WP Super Cache – still does not work.
Then I was told to:-
‘Please increase your system status parameters: https://www.screencast.com/t/GoGp9Nplif as mentioned here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/’
I do not understand how to do this? The system-status-parameters-guide just tells me I need to increase it. But HOW?
The template should be easier for Beginners to use, not go through all this just to edit something
PLease advise
Thanks
Hello,
I am trying to have a fixed background image that displays behind the header & the first part of the home page that shows to the user when they first open the website.
Similar to this https://2017.wordpress.net/ I just need an image not a video. I am pretty sure it’s very simple, but I’m not able to figure out which template does it.
Could you help?
Thanks,
George
Hi,
The page template has to be selected for each page in particular. It is not a general setting. When the Page builder + latest articles + pagination template is selected in the page attributes screen, a Latest articles section will be displayed at the bottom of the page, after your page content
– https://www.screencast.com/t/SFJ9Ugiw
– https://www.screencast.com/t/lYzIrYIbwMAg
Thanks
Hi Simion, thanks for that, that seems to have done the trick, I do however have a related issue with the registered params for custom blocks.
I used Block 10 as a base for my own custom block so everything should be the same, however, in page builder and now as a widget the params are completely different with a number of them missing? Please see the attached image.
Instead of ‘General – Filter – Ajax – Extra’ my custom block has ‘Filter – General – Ajax – Extra’ with a number of the ‘General’ params missing, Custom Title, title colour, head template etc, am I missing something?

Hi,
The latest articles section will always be displayed on the bottom of the page. This section appears when the required page template is selected in the page attributes settings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/T10tIOFEd
It can be disabled by selecting a different page template, or customized in terms of content
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
The sidebar that is set for the latest articles can be edited in Appearance->Widgets
– https://www.screencast.com/t/LuC564oW
– https://www.screencast.com/t/18xIdF64b
If you would like to have a Latest articles block under the slider, simply choose the block you want and sort the posts by latest. Place it anywhere in the page as you want
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
These are all the available blocks (use selection on the right)
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
And these are all the block settings and options
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
Thanks
They work for me. Note that the /amp/ endpoint is outside the theme as separate entity, just like having a separate print template.
You can test the /amp/ page actually validates properly (such as no inline css), and check it actually works and view the page source by going to the endpoint for one of your posts.
Hi!
I just installed the new Thrive Architect plugin to design my pages. I don’t like the page builder, and I was trying to get something better than Visual Composer. But, the thing is that without these two provided layout tools, I cannot get rid of the page Title when selecting the Default page layout in the edit mode of a page.
Is there a way to have blank pages with Newspaper? I mean, you can get rid of the breadcrumbs, but the title still remains… Is creating a child theme to modify the page template the only option?
Thanks!
Hi TagDiv,
We have an issue with Mailpoet being unable to save changes to templates. We have turned on de-bugging in Mailpoet which suggests a Third Party issue with WP Booster and we have followed this up in the forums where it’s suggested that we add the following code to our functions.php file, to prevent enqueuing on Mailpoet pages.
Could you advise us on what to put, where it says: // Put your enqueue styles and scripts here
<?php
/**
* If your theme or plugin is inserting files in MailPoet pages
* and it is breaking some functions, you should apply this
* conditional to load your files.
*
* Normally themes use these functions wp_enqueue_style() and wp_enqueue_script()
*/
if ( ( isset($_GET[‘page’]) && $_GET[‘page’] != ‘wysija_campaigns’ ) && ( isset($_GET[‘page’]) && $_GET[‘page’] != ‘wysija_subscribers’ ) && ( isset($_GET[‘page’]) && $_GET[‘page’] != ‘wysija_statistics’ ) && ( isset($_GET[‘page’]) && $_GET[‘page’] != ‘wysija_config’ ) ) {
// Put your enqueue styles and scripts here
}
Many Thanks
I’ve added the following code to my functions.php, like Lucien described in his reply very clearly. Yet the view counter still doesn’t seem to work. It has been over a year since that reply was posted and new versions of Newsmag have been released. Perhaps the code is outdated? Thanks in advance!
add_action( 'amp_post_template_head', 'process_AMP_counter' );
function process_AMP_counter() {
global $post;
if (class_exists( 'td_page_views' )) {
if (td_util::get_option('tds_p_show_views') != 'hide') {
td_page_views::update_page_views($post->ID);
}
}
}
Hi,
The Latest articles section is displayed on the bottom of the page, when the required page template is selected. It can be customized or disabled (by selecting a different page template) for each page
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
– https://www.screencast.com/t/VBPbTP88
This section also has the option to set a sidebar for it
– https://www.screencast.com/t/nr4Jk5j5vIcb
Sidebars can be customized in Appearance->Widgets.
So if you select the default page template for example, the Latest articles and the sidebar will not be displayed.
Thanks
