If you want to add it in the sidebar you will have to ask the plugin author for a method of implementing it into a wordpress sidebar. There is no simple way of adding a do_shortcode on a specific sidebar. This plugin is not tested so i cannot provide any official implementation methods. Ask the plugin author for a sidebar implementation guide. We have no idea of the plugin functionality and we cannot provide ni implementation methods. The one described above using do_shortcode will not work in a sidebar. it will work on post templates and inside the page content, but not on a sidebar. Except for the case in which the sidebar is added through visual composer on a split row. Then you can ad the shortcode inside the sidebar of that page, but not on a sidebar created in the widgets section of WP.

I’ve just bought and installed the template and have noticed that the demo content is not scaling to big grids and some blocks on the home and category pages.
I’ve installed the default demo for newspaper. I know that this can be fixed buy putting some extra css but should it not auto scale by default?

b. The categories do not have any sorting option set to them. They use the same loop feature of wordpress that shows the articles in a standard blog hoempage. this is the standard loop feature and there is no simple way of changing it’s functionality.

The default page template will remove title and breadcrumbs if visual composer is used.
The page bulder + page title will always show it and the page builder + latest will never show it.

How do I remove the list of latest articles showing on the 404 error page template? It is showing posts that should not be easily visible.
If this is not possible, I would like to specify the category that the page draws from rather than it defaulting to latest posts.

Wanted to say that I recently purchased this theme and it’s exactly what I was looking for! To start off, I updated the theme to 7.5 today as well as the plugins… all went well. A great majority of the questions I had were answered in the forums already and the changes were made successfully. My site is nearly complete except for the following adjustments:
1. Mobile header
First, I deactivated the mobile theme plugin since I want the mobile site to look like the desktop version. My logo color is blue #1369bf and I was able to change the search icon to this color as well. However the menu bars are still black and I’ve tried all the options in the Theme Panel. Please help me change this to blue.
2. Author page

3. Related Articles
Instead of the “Next Prev ajax” pagination, I want to change it to the “Load More” button. I am looking to display random posts from all categories as well.
4. Category page
I would like to make these three adjustments:

b. I turned off the category pull-down filter for all categories and would like to display random posts instead of latest

No article will be classified under the Trending category though. I want to be able to click on Trending and it will link to the category page template. However, this page will display the trending posts from ‘all categories’ instead of random posts from a specific category (as mentioned above).

I did as suggested on my test blog. It works fine, but:
1. The lines below the block tiles (which I guess are the one I call Tabs) are still the theme accent color
2. The bold link text for Instagram can be kept in its original color
3. Lots of other things changed as well.
4. Etc
If I isolate the color problem for the links only to the links shown in the blog post, page, category and tag templates, is it then possible to it the other way around and force them to be shown in the darker brown #b87333 color?
The options for CPT on the theme panel, do not let me set 2 things i want to do.
1) Pick the number of posts shown per page.
2) Select a post template. Like for regular posts you have this:
Why not have that for CPT as well? They are posts too.
Anyhow i’ll be happy if you teach me to increase the number of posts shows per page on CPT’s.

Just a note for your update steps, please clear all the caches and purge your files if you use CDN after you update the theme and the plugins. If not you will have caching issues.
Regarding the theme’s plugins update, the procedure is the same like for Visual Composer – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ Of course you can do this also via ftp, there is not problem.
The Mobile Theme is an optional plugin. It is not a required plugin, so you don’t need to use it if you don’t want too, the theme still have a responsive layout and a mobile version like in version 6. You can read more about Mobile Theme plugin here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ The Mobile Theme files cannot be overwritten via child theme.

2. The latest Speed Booster version is 4.5 so please make sure you use it with the latest theme version.
3. The Mobile Theme comes with it’s own template and Mobile Editor so you can add content for your pages there and they will not be empty – http://screencast.com/t/4XYf2A8pXM The Mobile Theme will not work with Visual Composer elements and it doesn’t render tagdiv blocks. Like I said above if you want the same content like on desktop also for mobile devices, just do not activate Mobile Theme plugin and it will be the same. If you want to use the plugin you will need to add content to your pages, create other menus and check the Mobile Theme settings from Theme Panel.

Unfortunately the latest articles section cannot be moved. There is no setting to do so. What you can do though is choose a different page template that does not use the latest articles and simply create the page as you want it to . You can use the block settings to create the page to your liking

I have created a custom taxonomy for my website and I would like to display the same template which the category templates show (it’s alright even if I have to enter the module number manually, don’t need the function on the backend). I have got the same layout by going to CPT & Taxonomy section, however I am not able to get the header part there. I would like the taxonomy pages to also have the header section just like the category section has.
I tried to dig in your code and I saw that you are using the “_helper_show_category_top_posts_style” and the “td_category_top_posts_style_*.php” file to display the content.
If this is something I can clone can you tell me how I can do that?

On our website I’m using your template. There are only two problems I cannot solve.

2. The TagDiv Social Counter doesn’t work great with our language, in Dutch more characters are used to say someting than in English. This is why the number of likes (in Dutch – vind ik leuk) on Facebook isn’t shown correctly, the Twitter icon in the social counter is shown over the number likes on Facebook. Hi, I can’t figure out why the sidebar i’m using in a page isn’t appearing where it should. I’m using “standard template” model and the page is divided by visual composer in 2/3 + 1/3.
