Hello,
The page speed is not related only to the theme that you are using, this is affected by plugins/content/ads/ external resources, etc.
To increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:
– https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/a-few-tips-for-newspaper-x-speed-high-cpu-usage-issues/
– https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/
However, page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique from this point of view.
Let me explain some of these factors and maybe they give you some starting points for optimizing your website.
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors, if you are using the Standard Pack plugin on not if you are using PRO demo or a standard one.
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
Hi,
I’ve changed from Newsmag to Newspaper.
Then I’ve created a mobile optimized site: https://www.eronite.com/homepage-magazine-pro/new_cloud_templatehomepage-mobile-magazine-pro/
But why is this so unsatisfying slowly? See https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.eronite.com%2Fhomepage-magazine-pro%2Fnew_cloud_templatehomepage-mobile-magazine-pro%2F
Any idea?
Thank you in advance,
Luke
Hello,
What can cause that mobile theme is loadad on desktop device (Win 10 Firefox) and on gtmetrix.com and https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights

Now that you asked, here is a link from the website. You can test any other article at random, and the results will still be the same.
One thing you need to know is the difference between field data and lab data. What most people test on page speed insights or Gtmetrix is lab data. Your page might perform better in the lab, but in the field, things are different.
The lab data displayed is an aggregate of the last 28 days. I just implemented the changes in less than 15 days, so I will take more time to wait and see how Google will compute the average after 28 days.
Also, important to note about core web vitals is that users on a slow network might affect the scores. Check this article – https://www.searchenginejournal.com/countries-with-slow-internet-can-affect-core-web-vitals-scores/402684/

Hello,
Unfortunately, we don’t have a code for Nginx fast CGI to recognize which theme to serve.
Also, to increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:

By the way, we have such a great result with this new update and with our new tool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc
Our tool is running only on normal pages and not for posts or categories for example.
“This custom tool performs an automatic test to find missing CSS rules applied by user interaction. Moreover, you can manually interact with a chosen section/component from the page while the tool records all the involved CSS. It will generate the final CSS file for this page and also will split the rules in Critical CSS to be loaded in the website’s header.” ( https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-the-newspaper-theme-10-4-update/ )

Hello!
Take a look in this topic because it could help you with CSS Analyzer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/css-analyzer-step-by-step-and-doubts/
Related to Google Pagespeed, unfortunately, there is no button to hit and you’re score is high. You need to try to optimize your website and respect all conditions from that list.
If you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here: https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/ you’ll be able to increase the speed of your website.
Also, to increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/a-few-tips-for-newspaper-x-speed-high-cpu-usage-issues/
– https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/
Please note that page speed is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/
Please give it a try and follow the steps which I presented above about page speed.
Also, check our guide from here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
We recommend using WP Super Cache plugin https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Hello,
I’ve spent the past few weeks trying to improve our Google Pagespeed performance and while it has gotten somewhat better in a few metrics, we’re still far off from where we should be.
We’re currently using our latest posts as our homepage instead of a separate page. When we install the tagdiv Mobile theme, it creates cumulative shift layout issues so we have it deactivated.
I tried to create a separate page to use as the homepage with the same design. I created a copy version for the mobile site and connected it to our page as your guide instructs, but it won’t show any articles on mobile, even though we are not using the mobile theme. I read on the forum that the mobile theme could be causing this issue, but it’s clearly something else altogether.
I have also tried to run your CSS Analyzer for the page to improve Google Pagespeed metrics, but it keeps timing out at different points and won’t finish. I have deactivated plugins for caching and other things to try to get your CSS Analyzer to work, but it keeps timing out.
All things considered, I feel like I’ve done everything I reasonably can from my end and yet our Google Pagespeed scores are still poor and now of the options I have found from reading the forum and your guides has produced a solution.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could please help us out with this.
Thank you
My header look other in all site. In mobile other, in web other. Template is very slow. Site full read is 14s https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=pl&url=czasostrefa.pl&tab=mobile
Hello,
To be able to optimize those elements is quite difficult, so to remove CLS please check these guide => https://developers.google.com/web/tools/lighthouse/ -> https://www.sqlpac.com/en/documents/google-pagespeeds-lighthouse-6-new-features-lcp-cls.html -> https://web.dev/lighthouse-whats-new-6.0/

Hi Sepjir,
I just checked the website with PageSpeed Insights and now I no longer see that CLS problem, I think that you manage to fix it -> https://i.imgur.com/2gtJZik.png -> https://i.imgur.com/MJSIZEJ.png
Thank you!
Pagespeed tells me this is the problem…. how i can solve this issue? Where? With what code?

Hi Tagdiv Team,
Pagespeed Insgights shows me bad results for CLS on all my desktop sites.

Any suggestions how to improve the Layout shift?
Thanks in advance

Hello,
I just checked the website with PageSpeed Insights and seems you need to delete and add again the logo from the footer for the mobile version in Theme Panel -> Mobile Theme -> footer => https://www.screencast.com/t/TSxkvYmYkke3 and for desktop, you need to add again the logo from the footer and retina logo for header => https://www.screencast.com/t/duvfnjOzfU5u
Thank you!
Hi, i’ve been trying to optimize for the new update (core web vitals) and i found a wall in the process (i use newsmag theme), the CLS its 0.931 and pagespeed shows me the problem is in <div id=”td-outer-wrap”> and select all the page, so, how i can solve this issue?
my web is: https://www.cajadebotin.com

Hi. I have this website channeldoubler.co.uk which has some issues with Core Web Vitals.
The issues are mostly related to legacy scripts (js, css).
Also, I tried running the CSS analyzer but nothing meaningful happens. I mean, the analyzer runs in a loop constantly checking desktop browsing again and again…
Check: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.channeldoubler.co.uk%2F
So, we want to know how to eliminate the issues related to remove unused css/js AND the DOM elements. How are so many and where they come from? We’ve solved all other issues.
Before you reply, please:
1. Do not “send us” to your page speed optimization posts. I mean, we’ve gone beyond these. We also have wprocket which does far better work than supercache.
2. Do not direct us to your “customizations team”. What we ask is very specific.
3. Understand that we are clients of yours for years. We’ve bought many licenses for your theme.
I have changed the size of the Featured Image Size to 1920×0.
Now the image is sharp.
But this setting loads a larger image (file size), right?
So I have to expect a worse Pagespeed Insights score. This is not so great.
I would like to set that always only as big is loaded as you need it too. Is that possible? If I set 1920px, the image is always loaded in 1920px, even if you have a small laptop?
Hello,
The page speed is not related only to the theme that you are using, this is affected by plugins/content/ads/ external resources, etc.
I just checked your website and it looks that your images and thumbs are not optimized, for example, you can use EWWW Image Optimizer plugin, also, you can try other plugins like Autoptimize. Your website needs an optimal speed that’s why you need to make some settings also to help for the improvement.
Also, to increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:

I think the user is referring to the claims on theme forest.
https://i.imgur.com/gYs6vlP.png
It states 98/100 Excellent Google Optimization.
With my site and a fresh install I got a speed of 20/100 on mobile, then I followed all the suggestions from support
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/optimize-script-to-improve-site-speed/
– https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
– https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/
And now I’m at a 28/100 on mobile.
Is there a solution for this or was the claim on Theme Forest unfounded?

Oh Wow. That’s much worse than what I’m scoring on Google PageSpeed Insights, but regardless I’m referring to my mobile version, not my Desktop version (which that’s what I believe GMetrix is looking at if I’m not mistaking).
Regarding Caching, I do have a caching plugin and also have an image minimizer. Are there other things I should be doing to fix those issues that you know of?
1. Suddenly I got a problem that on my mobile, my website’s front page is not showing the menu bar and footer. If you check from the desktop you will see everything is okay. But when checking from mobile and google’s pagespeed insights or with lighthouse (mobile test), you will see that the front page of the website has default elements and no menu and footer that I have created. The problem is only on the homepage. You can see the pictures I have added. How can I get rid of it? I have added the snapshot.
https://imgur.com/a/1xlHWTc (default menu on front page)
https://imgur.com/a/uZyDfGy (actual meu on mobile)
2. After this, now I see many articles do not show ads whether some of the articles are showing. I want to get rid of this problem too. I am using ad inserter but I don’t know why this happened.
Thanks. Regards.
