Hi Folks,

I am using Flex Bock 5 for most of the website, but it doesn’t seem to work on the search results page so have stayed with the Posts Loop element which came with Search Template 38 – Pulses PRO.

How do I move the inline category and date to sit above the article title? It’s easy to do in Flex Block 5, but I can’t seem to find a way to do it in Posts Loop. It’s important to me because when the length of an article jumps down onto a second line, it makes the category and date on the other search results in the row look unbalanced when their article titles are only on one line. I am using 3 in a row across the page, and therefore need it to look neater like Flex Block 5 is, by having the category and date above the article title in Posts Loop.

Or better still, I have tried using Flex Block 5, but it only brings in what the Filter is set to. Can it actually be used for search results? If so, how do I change the settings in Filter?

I am trying to keep continuity throughout the website.

Thank you 🙂

Hello,

@Julia
Colmsee,
Usually, that problem it is related to the CORS policy that are blocking the access, that should fix the problem, also I see that you have another problem https://www.screencast.com/t/6EpdZBQMela this problem can be solved using those guides:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/font-blocked-from-loading-by-cross-origin-resource-sharing-policy-no-access-co/

The Posts Loops settings are divided into 4 tabs: General, Layout, Style, and CSS. The Posts loop is a special block and doesn’t have filtering options.
Also, one of the options for pagination of the Posts Loop has the option for normal numbered and the flex blocks do not have this option.
The Posts Loop is automatically filtering the posts depending on the cloud template you set (for example on the category page there will be posted posts from that category).

You can use the Flex Block or the Big Grid Flex Block to apply the filters and sorting. You can find more information in these articles https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/big-grid-flex-settings/

Hello,

If I understood correctly, you want to have a category template -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloud-library-category-templates/ from tagDiv Cloud library and displayed all the posts from that category, so you can use the posts loop element => https://forum.tagdiv.com/posts-loop/ or you can use Flex Block 1 and set the filter to “Category -Current category” => https://i.imgur.com/7P99qx0.png

Hello!

You should have it too, please check: https://www.screencast.com/t/Pa2c0BNz ; open the first arrow. Check this video to see how you can put it back: https://www.screencast.com/t/5zuLsMAlRt

For modal video pop-up, the post need to be a video type, to have featured video. Also, for example, if you use a Posts Loop or a Flex Block element, then you will have a setting for the video pop-up: https://prnt.sc/10cxaix

Documentation which can helps you:

Hello!

A workaround there could be to add a flex block or a posts loop element in order to achieve a pagination to your posts. Both elements have the option next prev ajax pagination.

Thank you!

I’m using my own h1 tag for SEO with old theme. I’m adding it manually in each post.
And now i’m trying to find where i can disable (or change to h2) h1 tag for single posts of Newsmag. I think i found it: wp-content/themes/Newsmag/loop.php , changed it, but i still have two h1 tags in code. Can anybody help me to find right place or maybe something another steps is necessary?

Many thanks in advance!

Hello!

Please check in the posts loop element settings if you have any offset and let the offset field empty with no space, no value and see the results.

Please try not to reply multiple times in the topic if possible, this will only delay our response. Replying multiple times will refresh the topic date and move it to the back of the line, we answer from oldest to newest.

Thank you!

Hello,

On a specific page of my new website, I got a Posts Loop 2 that keeps loading the same posts over and over.
Here it is : https://tribu.bequiet.me/actualites/

I tried to change the pagination type (infinite load, etc.) but they all have that issue.
There’s just “Normal numbered” that behaves differently (which is another issue).
On that one, only the 1st page works as intended. As soon as I load another page, it leads to an empty page with only the header navigation and footer on it.
Note that it’s a page a created from scratch and not a template or something, and that it’s filtered to display all the posts no matter the category or anything (so yes, there’s is plenty of posts to display other than those that are loaded again and again)

On the other hand, all the template pages I got that uses the Posts Loop 2 work fine.
Those don’t have neither the 1st (same posts loading) or 2nd (normal numbered loading nothing on other pages) issues.
Here’s an example of working template page (it’s the 1st category archive page) : https://tribu.bequiet.me/category/economie-finance/

Any idea what is wrong with that loop ?
Note that everything is up to date on the website (plugins, theme, WP,…).

Thanks in advance,
Simon

We have these errors on our site. Can you advice please. Thank you.
1. The REST API is one way WordPress, and other applications, communicate with the server. One example is the block editor screen, which relies on this to display, and save, your posts and pages.

The REST API request failed due to an error.
Error: cURL error 35: error:14094438:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:tlsv1 alert internal error (http_request_failed)

2.Loopback requests are used to run scheduled events, and are also used by the built-in editors for themes and plugins to verify code stability.

The loopback request to your site failed, this means features relying on them are not currently working as expected.

hi.
I’m trying to get subtitles to appear on the list of articles (posts). I want the articles listed to be 2-column until mobile when they should be one-column.

I modified .td_module_10.php a long time ago, but want to change modules because that one doesn’t function the way I want it to on a mobile: It retains the two columns instead of changing to a full-width image with text under it (for each post). I found a Cloud loop template that does this.

A long time ago, Calin & Bogden gave me instructions to add code to td_module_10.php, but the instructions don’t work on the loop template. https://ibb.co/M5Tbmw4

I added the same code to tdb_module_loop.php. If I inspect the code I can see the subtitle div is there, but it is not being populated by the subtitle: https://u83572.imgbb.com/

Can you help? (And can I send you the url privately?)

Thanks!

Hello,

Our latest version available is 11.2 .
So, to avoid any problems, it would be advisable to use the latest version.
Also, depends on what page template use, if you have the page template “Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination”, then you can edit the section for the latest articles when you edit the page => https://i.imgur.com/HEi4M2x.png like in this video https://www.screencast.com/t/2o3NvGGgM https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
If you have set to the default template, then yes, you can edit the Posts Loop with tagDiv Composer.

Thank you!

Hello!

Edit the homepage with TagDiv Composer and customize the template. A guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezaaE2VP7V8
You can delete all the elements from there and let the Latest articles element called ” Posts Loop”. There is actually a recycle bin basket for every element if you just look carefully: https://www.screencast.com/t/wFYdqgpo6pT ; You could try to delete it like this also: select the row, press the button delete from your keyboard, then with your mouse select “YES”.
Also you have another option too, check this: https://www.screencast.com/t/pxuOzYIIpcG

Thank you!

Hello Fabrizio!

Unfortunately, there is no feature like that in our theme, but we will take in consideration your query.

If you do not search about something after ?s= , then all posts are displayed there.
You can limit or set an offset there in the element called ” Posts Loop “.

Thank you for understanding!

Thank you, I now see how the standard rating system works in wordpress and it is not good enough. I need users to input ratings.

So, I tried rate-my-post plug in. And it works great on individual posts. But the ratings do not show up on a category listing like this:

https://www.screencast.com/t/8sSWinpEOV67

After trying a lot of things, I think I need to actually create a child theme and call a function that the plug in provides [rmp_get_visual_rating]. I read your tutorial on creating a child theme, however, I have a couple questions:

Can the child theme be edited in the standard word press theme editor?

What file do you think I need to change to get the stars to show up on the category loop?

No matter what I do, I do not see the impact of my changes. (I have even tried to temporary modify the parent theme, Like change the “-” after author to some other code and it does not show that change either!). This leads me to believe I am either changing the wrong code, or the code I am changing is not getting executed. Help?

Bettina, thanks
As mentioned before, it only effects the search results from pages content.
We have created mobile templates of almost all of our pages to optimise content to screen size.

Unfortunate, to our understanding, Newspaper theme can not serve search results according to mobile devices only.

A work around would be to create a search template for mobile and desktop each. Once done, exclude page IDs from search results.

In our case, for the desktop cloud template we will exclude all pages mobile templates. We will filter the pages by ID using the Posts Loop element “Exclude Post IDs” field.

Respectively we will proceed with the search mobile cloud template.

For the future, it would be nice, when Newspaper theme would do this out of the box.

Thanks for your help. Have a successful day.

Hello!

You can see all the cloud templates in Dashboard -> Cloud templates.
Please check our video tutorial about how to import and assign cloud library templates: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6m8-EebnfM0

If you have set up a mobile page you can easily shift or select no mobile pages. But if you delete it, then the mobile page is already there but blank. So, in this case you need to assign another mobile page, and then to select no mobile pages without deleting the previous one. After selecting no mobile pages, you can delete also the mobile pages which you created.
In conclusion, don’t delete first so you will don’t have any issues.

You can duplicate a template/layout for every category/post to have different template, make the specific changes and assign it to that category/post.
Check this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/different-logo-in-categorypage/ ; Here I explained step by step how you can duplicate a template.

I just explained in that ticket about posts loop offset and how you can change it to achieve what you need.

For example: If you have the same template for posts, then it’s enough to edit one post with TagDiv Composer, and the changes will apply on every post that has assign the same template: https://www.screencast.com/t/quA3qQaZz8G. This is available also for the categories.

Thank you!

Okay so, here’s what happens. When I re-add the missing element into the global category homepage template, the main homepage template re-adds the element I want to delete.

In another support ticket, I was recommended that I use Flex Block 5 because I wanted to use a set of 12 Loops (1-12), but lower down the page the copied element with 13-24 didn’t work, and nor did 25-36, and so on.

So, I recreated what I needed with Flex Block 5. As mentioned at the top of this ticket, I haven’t been able to save the element (or delete other saved elements), and so I have been copying the row and pasting it in. There’s nothing wrong with using the copy-paste process. So, all sets of 12 posts work fine and continue on as I want right down the page (1-12, 13-24, 25-36 etc.) Great!

I am using the same method of copy & pasting from one template to another template because I can’t save the element.

Both pages work fine except for the very last element located just above the footer, on both pages. Again, one element reappears and one element is being deleted…

Thanks : )

Hello!

I recommend you not to use more than one Posts Loop per page. For example you can use Flex Block elements. If you have 2 flex blocks with the same settings and they are displaying the same posts, then you can use an offset and a limit for the flex blocks. For example: 1 block with the limit posts: 2 and the second one with the limit posts: 2 and offset: 2, if you would like the 3rd one then you set limit posts: 2 and offset 4, etc.

Thank you!

Hi folks,

I have created a set of 12 posts using the Post Loop 2 element and saved it as my own element, but when adding it further down the same page and setting the Offset Posts to 13 nothing happens. Offsetting has worked on another test pages, but not this one.

Is there a limit as to how far I can offset? On this page, I have used the same saved element 5 times, but none of them seem to work.

General > Limit Post Number: 12
Layout > Modules per Row: 3

Offset Posts: section 1: empty
Offset Posts: section 2: 13
Offset Posts: section 3: 25
Offset Posts: section 4: 37
Offset Posts: section 5: 49

Please can you let me know what I am missing because all I did was add your original Post Loop 2 element, set it to how I liked it, and then saved the element as my own.

Thanks : )

I want to organize a page with posts according to the category they are assigned to and display the category names above the posts like illustrated below –

Main Category heading
—-Subcategory 1
——Post
——Post
——Post
—-Subcategory 2
——Post
——Post
——Post
—-Subcategory 3
——Post
——Post
——Post

how does one do this in the post loop settings on the page settings? Or can this be done in the theme panel settings? I have not been able to find how to do this. Thanks for your help and support

Calin

Hi 2zi0, the post loop is a special element with automatic filters that will filter the posted from the templates were are set, in category, tags… Now the problem it is that you can use only one post loop, if you set more then one, all of theme will have the same settings (you can not set them individual like blocks or flex).
Also for the moment the special filters from flex blocks are not apply on tag s only on posts (singe) on category and on author templates.
So the only solution That I see here it is to set the ad above or below the post loop and to use only one, also you can set some sit bars and set there some ads.
Thank you for your understanding!
