Hi,

The pagination is only on latest articles option from page template or if you are using a posts loop, now the post loop can be edited using tagDiv Composer and you can change the pagination -> https://i.imgur.com/dE2Csxk.png this can be done on categories too if you are using cloud templates.

Thank you!

Hi bribiz,
I just checked your mega menu from food and is seems that all the subcategories are displaying the same results when are selected, it is like these links for other subcategories are redirected to same category, I think that this is because you do not have set in category template a post loop and you have set a flex block, please edit the category page and replace the LATEST FOOD ARTICLES block (this is a flex block) with a posts loop element (only this element can adapt after each category) -> https://i.imgur.com/aWC4sr0.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/XhdJkWP.jpg
Let me know the results!

After I updated my site to use the Cloud Library, the pagination feature on categories no longer works as expected. When clicking on the numbers or > characters, the page refreshes and appears to show the next page. However, the original page is reloaded — not the next page.

Here is an example: https://www.schoolnewsnetwork.org/category/byron-center/

In the Composer, this template is using Posts Loop and pagination is set to “Normal Numbered”.

I tested this on Search results too. On the Search result, it did work as expected.

Hi,

Ye, it is possible, but you’ll have some work to do to make it the same.
First the layout is stretch 1400px -> https://i.imgur.com/j72DfUF.jpg then you need to use some flex blocks to achieve the layout for first 2 posts -> https://i.imgur.com/Eafi4OS.png after that you need to use the post loop element from tagDiv Composer, here is an example, in big steps the page layout -> https://i.imgur.com/o8RNcMP.png if you want you can take it from here -> https://pastebin.com/jxFxTwTA and past it in an empty page https://i.imgur.com/rjRqjQW.png

Hope this will help you!

Hi,

If you are using a pro demo, pleas check with tagDiv Composer to make sure that you do not have set some offsets on the posts loop -> https://i.imgur.com/aJ7qNBW.png -> https://i.imgur.com/r1Cj3Ga.jpg
If there is still a problem or this is not what you mean, please provide some more details an some screenshots.

Thank you!

Hi,

Our theme do not has this option, sorry! But I think that you can achieve this using a cloud template and setting to posts loop with an offset for one of them.
-> https://i.imgur.com/0SzDNxZ.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/mTwFTM6.jpg for the second one just copy and paste the element and add and offset 3 -> -> https://i.imgur.com/5bdg0H2.png

Hope this will help you!

Hi — I have installed the WP Search with Algolia plugin and have the “Use Angolia in the backend option”

It all works great except that the number of results per page is now 10 and not the 20 I have set in the Posts Loop module. Without the plugin, it does show 20 results.

Is this something you can help me with?

Thanks

Hi,
I’m using the tag div composer to edit my homepage, and i cant seem to get these article titles and category tags to align in the center. The row is using the Posts Loop 2 element. Where exactly do I need to go to do this? Please see encircled items on this screenshot (link):

Thanks for the help Calin! I changed the ‘Posts loop’ into a ‘Flex Block’ and there are no problems anymore 🙂

Hi Roularta, for the moment we do not recommend to set two posts loop on the same page/template, please use a flex block or anther block, because most of the settings from the first loop element will be set for the second one.
If is a pro demo you can use tagDiv Composer to change one of the Popular categories block and replace or edit it with other block -> https://i.imgur.com/owIgJ4P.png
Thank you!

Hi there,

I have another problem using the Newspaper ‘Cloud Templates’. I’ve created a plain category template which have 2 different ‘posts loop’ items. They are divorced by a ‘Call to action’.

In the first Posts Loop, I’ve set the ‘Limit post number’ to 1.
In the second Posts Loop, I’ve set the ‘Limit post number’ to 8 with an offset of 1.
Strange enough, both Posts Loops on the front-end only shows 1 post.

How can I fix this please?

Hi,

1. If you are using the Gossip Pro demo you can drag and drop the “latest article”, but grad it with the entire row not only the posts loop elements -> https://i.imgur.com/jTqsAYH.jpg

2. For the moment the modulus from the blocks do not have an option to display the sub-titles, only the excerpt, this can be done only if you make some changes in theme files.

3. The excerpt size can be set as general in theme panel for all modules that are display in theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/VQk9lZM.png on individually using tagDiv Composer -> these are the only ways that you can change the excerpt size.

4. You can set the ads in ad box, in these ad box you can set banners ads that are set in theme panel, or you can set in them the code -> https://i.imgur.com/xJpVYl7.png you can check more about this in our guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/custom-ad-spots/

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Hi Sophia_FACES,

Yes, you can do that using flex block 1 but, you need to use 3 flex blocks exactly like posts loops (there are set 3 posts loops with offset on them), if you want, you can import the post loop from tagDiv Cloud Library to see how it was made. You need to make only the first one, after that use the right click to copy paste the block and only change the image position from left to right and set an offset -> https://i.imgur.com/YM23LeO.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/626KBlK.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/pQKaFOs.jpg

hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Hi noticiasdehonduras, thank you for your kind words!

I think that what you need can be achieve more easy using the posts loop 1, please make these settings -> https://i.imgur.com/ssQqj7g.png -> https://i.imgur.com/POmQBIO.png -> https://i.imgur.com/Vuthdza.png
.tdb_loop .td-module-title {
width: 125%;
}
[class*="tdb_module_loop"] .td-image-container {
top: 100px;
}

The code need to be set in theme panel custom code> custom css.
Also the above custom css can be improved.

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Sorry I can’t figure this out from reading previous people who have clearly asked the same thing…

My main page has the most recent 40 blog posts. When someone clicks the TITLE of a POST, I want that post to open in a new tab or window. I understand how target=”_blank” works, but I can’t find where to add it. The source-code I’m looking to modify is this:

<div class="td_module_15 .....
<div class="item-details">
<h1 class="entry-title"><xa href="~~~">

I just want to change it to:

<div class="td_module_15 .....
<div class="item-details">
<h1 class="entry-title"><xa target="_blank" href="~~~">

I THOUGHT this should be in Loop.php, but I can’t find it anywhere.

Hi,

I want to create a block with flex box 1 containing 6 posts, but I want each image to be on opposite sides in sepearte rows.

Like this loop block – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_garden_pro/loop-garden-pro/?edit_url=null

Is it possible to have 6 posts placed like the loop block in one flex box or do I need to create 3 seperate flex boxes and make one big block of it?

Hi fdalbard,

So the problem is that these new post are not displaying the the category page, this can be because the posts loop from category page to have set an offset, please edit the category page with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/wFEu97L.jpg click on posts loop and remove the offset -> https://i.imgur.com/bZi5dxv.jpg after that these new posts will be display.
Let me know the results!

Hi,

The Newsmag theme doesn’t have such filters. Are you referring to Newspaper? Newspaper has an option for blocks to filter them by current category, but not by current tag. Maybe that will be added in the future, I can’t say for sure.

If you are using a tag cloud template, you can use the loop elements to automatically display the posts by the current tag, in the tag pages https://prnt.sc/ucsoqh

Thank you!

Hi,

1. The smart list seems to work fine, it worked when I was creating that code as well, also I see these ads in the content https://prnt.sc/ucs5zx

2. The font settings for the post content are in the theme panel https://prnt.sc/ucs6rt
In case there is no setting for what you would like to change, let me know what that is exactly.

1. All the theme modules can display the category tag. Please check in the theme panel and enable them https://prnt.sc/ucs7zk

2. Bring it where exactly? That is the block pagination, each block can display a few pagination styles https://prnt.sc/ucs8s4 The pagination is available for block widgets in sidebars as well https://prnt.sc/ucs9my -> https://prnt.sc/ucs9jm

3. That is not possible unfortunately. The theme doesn’t have an ad spot for the post loop that is displayed in the category page. Besides the header/footer/sidebar ads there would be no other ad spot created specially for the category pages.

4. The email address in the footer https://prnt.sc/ucsbjt will use the theme accent color set in the theme panel https://prnt.sc/ucsbtp -> https://prnt.sc/ucsbzh
I see that is not happening in your case. Note that this other setting will override the accent color https://prnt.sc/ucsd1f Set it to default of you want the theme accent color to be used.

5. You could try this plugin for example https://wordpress.org/plugins/ewww-image-optimizer/ There are many others as well.

6. What warnings have you received exactly? From what I know the super cache should work fine with the theme, it is the plugin we recommend. You could however use other caching plugins, make tests with them.

7. The theme has the more articles box https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-more-articles-box/ There are a few settings for it in the theme panel.
The more articles box does not slide posts, and does not have a read more button. There is a choice of modules but that functionality is not available.
I can’t say from the screenshot if that is indeed the more articles box, with modifications made to it, or a section implemented through a plugin.

Thank you!

Hi,

The source meta is displayed only in the post page, and not in the modules. You would have to modify the module files in order to make them display it, if this is required. Here is a similar topic if you would like to give it a try https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/add-via-or-source-text-on-posts-loop/

Thank you!

Hello !

You can only have 1 posts loop on 1 page. Instead of using posts loop we recommend you to use Flex Blocks which are very customizable and you can make them look like a post loop.

Thank you !

In my Category template, I have several Posts Loop modules and ad boxes set up like this:

Posts Loop (Limit to 4 posts)
Ad Box
Posts Loop (Limit to 4 posts, Offset = 4)
Ad Box
Posts Loop (Limit to 4 posts, Offset = 8)
Ad Box
Posts Loop (Limit to 4 posts, Offset = 12)…..etc.

However, when I save the Category template, I see the same four posts repeat even though the offset values are properly saved. Is this a known issue?
