Hi,
The theme doesn’t have an option to remove the date from search engines however this could be done by removing all date stamps from post pages.
For the date follow the topics I’ve pasted below as I’ve posted a solution related to this:
* https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/remove-date-time-stamp-from-all-posts/
* https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/remove-several-date/
Thanks

Hi,
1. Please make sure that you also enable greek support from here: http://screencast.com/t/YQNZEjsjZO then empty caches/purge files if you sue cdn host and try again.
Please let me know if you refer to this photo as I haven’t noticed anything wrong with it: http://screencast.com/t/wPVEqied
2. If your refer to the space under the image, you can sue this css to remove it or reduce it: http://screencast.com/t/N1sKfjWzqEZ
.td-grid-wrap {
padding: 10px 13px 0px 13px !important;
}
If this is not what you’ve meant please let me know and provide more details.
3. You can use the 3rd header style: http://screencast.com/t/mI8UiD6PBA ..and have it like this: http://screencast.com/t/DerGQXpn0
4. We have this on our todo list and we are working on it unfortunately we still have incompatibility issues regarding VC style.
You can try the solution from in this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/buttons/#post-21804 and import the VC css: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/buttons/#post-21825
We plan to restyle all VC elements in theme version 5. Sorry about this and for the inconvenience.
Thanks
Just for those who tend not to look at changelog, I’ve gone ahead and posted that here, for those who need it — since I was just looking at that myself.
ALSO: suggestion, use my “moving to newsmag” sticky as process for updating theme to minimize the change of “white screen of doom” or the server 500 issue (stupid Visual Composer!!!!) 😉

hide the borders (you can’t remove them as they take up 1 pixel in the grid)
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/remove-all-layout-borders/#post-39348
Hi,
1. For Classic Block stack we made a special header, this one http://screencast.com/t/FEoXVhLMpcv and in combination with other headers is not guaranteed that everything will work fine.
Anyway if you want to use it like this please can try this custom css in for logo:
.header-logo-wrap img{
display: table;
margin-right: auto !important;
margin-left: auto !important;
}
2. Also for borders:
.blog-stack .td-menu-background{
border-bottom:none;
border-top: none;
}
3. That option were removed because we change grid and it won’t be available.
That is page padding, you can try to remove that with css:
.td-page-wrap .td-grid-wrap{
padding: 0px;
}
.td-page-wrap .td-grid-wrap .container-fluid{
padding: 0px;
}
Try to inspect with Chrome and see where you have padding.
4. You can use TagDiv gallery on full width post(without sidebar):
Post settings: http://screencast.com/t/eYQ0RfJ87
Result: http://screencast.com/t/802x12Md
Thanks!
Hi,
1. Please disable predefined content from Theme Panel: http://screencast.com/t/FTK8Alob7S
And add your widgets to the footer: http://screencast.com/t/yDiynisBPJ
2. You can remove Big Grid subcategories if you uncomment this: http://screencast.com/t/ER6dGosc
3. I have checked your site and found that you have an add above Latest Articles: http://screencast.com/t/LIoCziNRyo
4. I tested with your ID and seems to work: http://screencast.com/t/HXpya3Jml – http://screencast.com/t/pK5q3jAeHv
5. Please provide more details. This is your last post? http://screencast.com/t/YgWUkNah
Please post your issues here in newsmag section: https://forum.tagdiv.com/forum/newsmag/
Thanks!

Hi,
1. Here you have to edit and remove share buttons: http://screencast.com/t/pawTnpy4xz
2.Use this custom css: http://screencast.com/t/pDJgmBDtRQ
.td-social-sharing-buttons{
font-size: 25px;
width: 180px;
height: 50px;
}
.td-social-sharing-buttons div.td-social-but-text{
top: 5px!important;
}
.td-social-sharing-buttons div{
top:5px !important;
}
.td-tags-and-social-wrapper-box{
display: table;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-social-sharing-buttons{
width:auto;
height:auto;
}
.td-social-sharing-buttons div{
top:auto !important;
}
}
3. Please follow this solution: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-add-sharing-options-on-top-of-the-postarticle/
Thanks!
Hi,
Thanks Chris!
You can use the option from theme panel but please consider that would remove the featured image from post page also: http://screencast.com/t/b6kJ1LKa
This happens when you use module 1 or 7 as both load the posts content with will also load the feature image.
You could try this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/feature-image-that-appears-in-category-display/
Thanks
@Ljubi B.
not sure what you mean?
You haven’t posted any topics to this forum, so not sure what “false and stupid” answers I’ve given you? I think over the past 14-15 months I’ve provided more helpful answers than anyone on the TagDiv forums.
However, your mileage may vary, as always.
Sorry if I didn’t help you. Free advice is just that.
My answer to your question on the hit counter, for Newspaper, for example, was neither stupid or wrong.
My answer to why your theme panel didn’t have responsive option in Newspaper after the 4x update was correct, as you had not read the changelog to see that responsive option has been removed.
Also, one of your support posts was:
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?
So… not sure what you’re on about. I’ll try not to help you at all in future, since it’s unwanted. Not mad, just perplexed.
In the context of this thread, WP Rocket and TagDiv Speed Booster are two totally different things, hence my response and observation, and answer based on my own experience. I have not used WP Rocket, due to problems I’ve seen with other folks using it, and also because we can run most of those optimizations ourselves running our own server, so don’t need a commercial plugin for that.
So, the “what do you think is best” answer to THIS THREAD, isn’t the same for everybody. “The best” may vary by server and how much time one wishes to mess with things.
Cheers. Sorry to anybody who thinks my help is “stupid or false.” 🙂 I’ll try to cut back on that.
Yeah.
I would turn off everything except mod_pagespeed since it does the minify of HTML on the fly, removes comments, etc.
Use the tagdiv speed booster plugin which moves and enqueues scripts at bottom of page.
Use the functions.php file to add the remove query string code.
Use W3 cache if you don’t have mod_pagspeed connected to APC/opcache/memcache on the server (which can be configured in the master mod_pagespeed config file). But use the settings recommended by TagDiv.
example of some of my custom stuff in functions.php to remove query strings, visual composer credit, etc.
*NOTE:
this also includes code you might not need
a) remove visual composer CSS from post pages
b) remove pingback URL
c) change default WP thumb compression from 90 to 50 (some like 60)
d) remove yoast admin bar (annoying)
e) add go away message for people trying to login guessing passwords; great to use with limit login attempts
f) delete enclosure in RSS feed
g) disallow some things in comments for security

Hi,
This page http://twojebielany.extrapolska.pl/ is set as your homepage so when you click the logo you are taken to the homepage. You can change your homepage form WordPress settings > reading: http://screencast.com/t/unzq6AQr
The breadcrumbs indicate that you are on the latest posts page or blog page, you can also notice this on our demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/blog/
You can remove the “Home” from your breadcrumbs form post settings: http://screencast.com/t/0ZCG5vIY0sd or you can disable the whole breadcrumbs if you don’t need them.
Thanks
Hi,
Updating the theme will not remove the settings you’ve chosen only if you have customization/changes directly into to the theme’s files, these files will be overwritten. If you do have modification to the code you should make a copy of the files changed by you, updated the theme and make those changes again if the files where changed.
Also you can use child theme for some custom modifications: https://forum.tagdiv.com/child-theme-documentation/
Social Counter plugin should work well if you set it like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-manage-the-social-counter/
I’m sorry I can’t recommend to you a plugin for share and like, because we did not tested any share plugins with the theme.
You can use also social share/like from the theme for posts: http://screencast.com/t/CZdU5kC8o
Result: http://screencast.com/t/xZcybeGvxqah
Also please follow our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-documentation/
Hope this helps!
Thanks!

Hi,
@ganeshdgk
If you have installed demo, this will install new data (menu, posts, categories, pages) and it can only be remover manually. Please use it on development setup.
You can change block title like this: http://screencast.com/t/Jb3QaoMQhfb
Also blocks used on your page can show articles by category and have a sort order: http://screencast.com/t/fbRxHX1eoo6
Please follow our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-documentation/
Thanks!

Hi,
Please use the full width row to display Big Grid and split the Slide row to 2/3+1/3. Here is an example: http://screencast.com/t/xrraDFgrtbYd
Result: http://screencast.com/t/Ghb4WXvc
You can also install demo to make an idea how it works, but this will install new data (menu, posts, categories, pages) and it can be removed only manually: https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-the-demo-data/
Let me know if you still have issues related to the theme.
Hope this helps!
I just installed the theme and I’m getting familiar with it. Great work! I have my first (of many future) questions…
How do I remove or relocate the category listings under the title of a blog post? I have already gone into theme options/breadcrumbs and disabled all breadcrumbs (I know its not the same thing but I thought I’d try). In Post Settings, I also disabled “show tags on post” I cannot find any other place to remove or relocate category listings
What else do I have to disable (And where)??? If I cant remove them from the page, can I relocate them?
Here is an example from me test site: http://sinclairworld.com/sailingchancetest/?p=74
Thanks!
Hi tagdiv support team
I have used some blocks in sidebar as well as in footer widget area in http://www.wpdiv.com
How can i remove the post thumbnails to reduce the number of requests sent to the server?

Please help me
Hi everyone
On the topic of “PageSpeed,” I have already answered the same questions 50-100 times the past year and they are all covered in the “sticky” thread found in the Newspaper forum.
I am no longer providing any help with PageSpeed issues, as this is all covered in the sticky topic for advanced users; and for newbies, the settings/docs provided by TagDiv for the theme docs (link right side of page) will get you to the 80+ stage right away. If your score is below that then you *did not* follow the theme docs or this topic on the basics for speeding up your WORDPRESS install.
WordPress optimization is widely covered on the net – it’s not theme specific.
You need to have
a) fast hosting; $3/month accounts or “free” hosting are crap.
b) have gzip/deflate running on server
c) you need to set expiration headers in your htaccess (noted in docs)
d) you need to have an image optimization strategy (noted in docs); either via plugin and/or changing optimization setting in functions.php (covered in the sticky topic.. why not READ through it??)
e) you need to optimize your dbase regularly (wp-optimize plugin)
f) you need to limit use of things which call CSS, JS, fonts, ads, counters from OTHER SITES.
g) you need to test/explore refine some kind of caching system on the server or from a WP plugin (noted in docs)
h) high quality hosting will add mod_pagespeed
i) you need to look at manual minification of main style.css file
j) limit number of ad networks
k) limit number of plugins wherever possible
j) limit total number of images/thumbs loaded on post pages to something like 10 total; not 30+
k) use fewer module types to limit number of image sizes/thumbs; use text modules also.
When testing site with something like GTMetrix.com *READ* the information provided with examples and solutions. Only YOU can fix your own website, why ignore the info provided as so many on this forum(s) seem to do?
Advanced users:
a) local caching/loading of gravatars (I provide solution in the sticky thread)
b) mod_pagspeeed and mod_spdy if site loading via https (I offer help on that in the sticky thread and other discussion on mod_pagespeed; search forum)
c) optimization of font loading, hack theme to remove calls from headers/footers to Google and load via style.css; -or- use ONLY web-safe fonts and no Google fonts. (I also describe how to do this in sticky thread; although might need update based on current location of font calls with theme evolution/updates)
d) manual minification of other files, such as main theme functions files
e) optimization of wp-config.php file with comment removal, add paths to base URL/directory and theme directory by name (I show example in sticky thread)
f) add expiration type/ttl for custom icon font loaded by theme (betcha forgot that one!)
etc.
Learning to optimize your WordPress site is UP TO YOU TO LEARN. It’s not part of the theme. The theme supports very good speed rating IF YOU DO THE REST. The theme cannot fix your server, optimize your htaccess file, speed up time, or transport you off this rock. Google is a great resource to FIND hundreds of articles from the past decade on optimizing WordPress. You’re not the first person to do it.
Chris out.
(I am adding this here, as many don’t look at the sticky thread and/or folks in the Newsmag forum never saw that. Even so, most posting “my score is 40” clearly did NOT follow the basics found in theme docs.)
#1 TIP: don’t worry about render blocking elements until EVERYTHING ELSE is done. Those last items really only impact your last couple of points. I have 95 score with Newsmag without full optimization of the fonts or minification. It’s doable!

Hi,
Unfortunately that can’t be done at the moment but we are working on it and the possibility to edit and alter more theme files via child theme will be available in next theme updates.
Until then I suggest to make your changes to the main theme files then take note of them and make a copy of the modified file/files then when an update is available just check the update log and if there aren’t any change to those files you’ve also modified just replace the file with you own. If changes have been made then you’ll have to make the changes again.
Regarding the smooth scroll you can remove it like suggested in this tread: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/remove-smooth-scrolling/#post-23634
Thanks
Hi, when i open my site with mozilla browser, at mozilla, i click Menu Tools, and Page Info, why i see there is many generator text for example : Useer Comments:0, Admin Websit, etc, how to remove or hide this ?
look at my screen shot http://postimg.org/image/m6mcjci4l/
thank you

Hi,
run into some issues with the theme mods to the post editing, when using WooCommerce in particular.
1) when editing a product, or post, and switching to visual editor, while in *https*, something loading is not being loaded via https and causes a browser warning (site wide is https) to okay load of insecure content; creates autosave point. In visual editor, elements like bullet points in unordered lists don’t render, but are shown indented but not actually indented on page preview or publish.
2) unable to properly manage some elements in text editor, where some tags don’t function properly. In other words, the theme is “monkeying” with the ability to actually enter HTML properly like line breaks and the <br> tag in particular.
3) the divider line in visual mode is actually distracting when trying to edit content, and option to remove that or toggle off is actually now desirable while I tolerated it originally.
So, is there an option or function I can use to force “disable” the divider line and/or element modifying the post page?
Having this issue with td speedbooster plugin “off” or “on” and no major plugins running during dev cycle (meaning Yoast SEO off, social media stuff totally off, no mod_pagespeed running, no minification, no site caching, etc.).
Hi,
Thanks Chris!
@press15
Regarding your first menu questions please note that is the way the mega menu works and was designed and to change as you’ve noted and need, you will need additional customization which are not easy to be done and you would need custom work for that.
You could try to do this by creating a new category and assign the posts you want to it then add it to the menu, assign it to use mega menu the add your custom url which directs it to the page you want in the label filed, like this: http://screencast.com/t/yy4WjpW1U
Into the menu you will also have generated the default anchor tag will the category url but you can remove it via css just for that specific menu item and have it look like this: http://screencast.com/t/I0UTFKTA
It’d not an ideal solution but could help you do this.
Regarding your other menu question, the menu items can be added to the menu then use the unique css class that was added to each menu item you create and hide it via custom css and display it just on pages you want it to appear.
Ex: http://screencast.com/t/tQfsY85DULLi
You can use your browser inspect toll to get the menu item unique class: http://screencast.com/t/GXbtsLKu4OC
Fore the images, Chris is right, the theme uses WordPress cropping so I suggest you try it’s solution.

Question 1: On the homepage, I want to remove the dates from underneath the three headlines starting with Kenya…, Iraq…, and Raw:… which are utilizing Block 5.
But, I want to keep the dates underneath the articles on the other pages and on the posts, so I can’t just disable the “Show Date” option in the Theme Panel under the Post Settings, because, whilst that removes the dates from the homepage, it also removes the dates from here and here, which, I don’t want. How do I remove, or hide with CSS, the dates from underneath the three World News Headlines on the homepage?
Question 2: With your previous help (thanks), I’ve customized the “RELATED VIDEOS” heading viewable at the bottom of this post.How do I make the corners on the right hand side of the “RELATED VIDEOS” rounded like the corners on the left hand side?
Question 3: I’ve created a Video Sources page. I want to make the page heading have a black box with white writing like the World News heading on this page. Inserting a “Text with title” makes the heading I want appear but there is too much of a gap/space underneath then. Is there a specific html/css tag that I can enter to make the desired heading appear?
