Hello !

That is up to you. But in my opinion if you have paid for a theme like Newspaper you should use it to the fullest. So my option would be Static.

If you have cache issues you will have to fix the issue and make sure that the requirements are met as you can see here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

The caching issue will be there no matter what theme you will be using.

Thank you !

Hi mayaguez,
The requirements for our guide need to be set as there are indicate there, I sure that your host set 256M but not for our theme for this you need to set it as in this section -> https://i.imgur.com/HKWUNBY.png the code need to be set in wp-config.php
If you do not use any Wordfence or firewall or security module maybe it was something temporary cache and I was not able to replace the code.
Now about the color, there are no specific settings for blog color, so it is possible that the code that is set by default to can be replace only with custom css, like the one provide above.
Also if there are still some problems with cloud library or other elements, Let meknow!
Thank you!

Hi all,

Complete noob here, so please go easy on me!

I’m creating my first news website after having worked in editorial roles for years for other companies but am now setting up on my own. The editorial content is no problem, I can do that in my sleep, but I’m no techie so setting up the site and the ads that I’ll monetise the site with is a challenge.

I won’t be using adsense, rather I’ll be selling ad space to advertisers directly. Of course, they’ll want to see stats from their banners as time goes by, so is there something within Newspaper that gives me this info or do I need a plugin? If I need a plugin, do I then ignore the ads function on the theme panel and simply use the plugin for placing new leaderboards, sidebar squares etc? Which plugin is best for these specific requirements?

Hope that all makes sense!

Many thanks.

Hi,

First you need to set the theme requirements as in our guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/, for the moment these are like this -> https://i.imgur.com/pCfJEQ8.png (this will fix the problem with cloud templates download).
Also is look that you use some firewall or security module that is blocking the admin ajax -> https://i.imgur.com/9IMjuFI.png
If you don’t use a security plugin, please ask your host about this, maybe you have a security module which blocks this.
If you use a plugin like Wordfence please set it in learning mode.
Also make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Now the colors set from theme panel are or block because the admin ajax is not apply or are overwrite by the class set on body -> https://i.imgur.com/L3kMLpZ.png remove the class and the settings color from theme panel should work.

Let me know the results!
Thank you!

Hi dsaperu
Please try the manually installation (as Edward suggested) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/ this should work.
Also make sure that you set all theme requirements as in our guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
