I’m wondering about the following. I hope you can answer me and help me out:

A) I use adsense on my site, and manage it from the theme panel in newspaper. However I need NOT to see the ads on some pages and posts (especially on review posts I make), how is that possible?

B) I’m making product review posts now. Am I right to do that with “posts” and not “pages”. I’ve not seen the review option in “pages”, only in “post”. Is that correct?

C) I’m making product review posts now and I find the grid with the stars to be looking good but it’s too low in the page. I’d like to be able to move it. For example having the grid at the beginning of the content? Maybe having it at the beginning of the posts and again at the end. I haven’t seen where I can control that.

D) The review block enables us to stand out in the SERP (rich snippets?) ? Just wondering.

Is it possible for us to implement something like what the Columbia Journalism Review site implements on their post page?

As you can see, the one marked with the green marker (on the right) is a non-sticky sidebar widget of site-wide seeded trending stories.

On the left, there’s another widget. This time, a sticky, that displays the author bio of the one who wrote the piece.

Since we’re still exploring on the possibilities of maximizing the site in full potential (and we barely have background with css coding, just basic html). We’d like to ask for help on how to put another widget field on the right, and actually implement the same execution as CJR.Org’s.

While we can put a widget on the right (see green box), I believe there’s no provision to put another on the left.

We’d like to hear your thoughts on this.

When I insert an image, sometimes my text isn’t spacing after the image. I tried hitting shift enter and even hard enter but still no space after image. Sometimes I get the correct space after an image and sometimes the text sits right below the image with no real space break. Sometimes the cursor moves to the right of the image ad goes up the page. Very strange.

Any idea why?

Hi,
Is it possible to use Yoast for Breadcrumbs instead of the Newmag breadcrumbs? I tried to activated the Yoast breadcrumb via the Plugin options but it broke my main menu, even though I had deactivated the NewsMag breadcrumb under template settings.
Do i need to edit my theme files to accomodate this? (I’m using a child theme)

The reason I need this is becase I have a plugin (Sabai directory for a directory with reviews) and NewsMag doesnt recognise the category hierarcy. The plugin developer recommends using Yoast.

It’d be great to hear your thoughts (I know I’m talking about 2 other plugins, but I guess I may have to edit the page.php file?)

I am still having the same problem! My Reviews are not classified as Reviews in Google results!

What to do? It has an error that Google is not correctly reading my ratings. = /
