Also, regarding your second problem, I saw that you are using the Page Builder+Latest Articles+Pagination as a page template and the Latest Articles section cannot be changed from TD Composer but only from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/EMPTSCbs Also, if you want that all the page content to be changed with TD COmposer you should use the Default as page template. I am building a charitible website and have two problems, first the smart sidebar is not working on the home page, but works on all others, and secondly the lower half of the website under the video section I cannot edit with TD Composer, I can’t change anything below the video, any suggestions what to look at? I don’t even know how the first column data appears there, the second column is from the widgets obviously. I spent Easter trying to resolve. Thanks.

I understand that the Newspaper theme works differently. However one of the most performing AdSense positions is in the upper right sidebar as stated in this Google AdSense video https://youtu.be/j581uAnfahw?list=PLbAFD4oU9YcocOlILRpwwfQJDXoRO8I2M&t=50.
Like many other publishers we usually place AdSense on that position and for the other widgets, for instance, Email Subscribe Box, Social Media profiles, Popular Posts, etc. we usually make this sticky to get a new subscriber or reduce the bounce rate.
That’s why many of your customers including me are repeatedly asking if we can only use the sticky in the specific widget and not the whole sidebar.
By doing this, we are complying with AdSense policy while lowering the bounce rate, increasing the number of new subscribers or followers.
But since this is not the case in Newspaper theme, we need to choose, put AdSense and don’t make it sticky or make it sticky but remove the AdSense.
This is not a complain, I just want you guys to see the other picture here and share my thoughts about Smart sidebar and I think it’s smart decision to just remove it and allow us to use the Q2W3 Fixed Widget plugin.

The sidebar will act as a whole section, you can either make it all sticky or not at all. Only on pages you can control what sidebar is sticky, since it is required to enter a specific class to the column, see bottom section of this guide

Plugins may interfere with the theme smart sidebar options and cause issues, we cannot make any recommendations in the matter unfortunately. We have not tested such plugins. Sorry if this is an inconvenience for you.

I have two widgets in my sidebar and I don’t want them both in sticky mode.
First widget = not sticky
2nd widget = sticky
How can I achieve this?
What I’ve done already:
1. Activate the Smart sidebar under template settings
2. Go to the Appearance > Widgets and check the sticky box for my second widget
3. Clear cached refresh my site.
After this, both widgets are still in sticky more.

The rocket loader feature should be disabled indeed, it may cause problems

That configurations should be used together with the theme for best results. Then there should be no errors in the console and the smart sidebar should work if enabled.

The smart sidebar usually breaks if the js encounters errors. Most likely you have a js error and multiple js elements broke on your site, not just the sidebar. You can see the error in the browser console: https://www.screencast.com/t/7bwYhJIIu
Please disable rocket loader and do not minify the js as it is already minifed in our theme. The theme uses the minified version by default.

Hey, there are lots of problems with your theme.
Now, the smart sidebar is not working, I checked the settings in theme panel. It is on.

Check the bottom part of the tutorial to see how you can create smart sidebars in pages. This would be the only way of doing this. Note that Adsense ads should not be used like this, it is considered a violation of their rules. Other ads could be used.

I’ve tried to create a sidebar for one of categories but after creating a new side bar the side bar does not display in widgets as does a video tutorial show. I also read the documentation.

I’m having some issues with the sidebar. In posts and as the default sidebar, it works fine. But when I add it though the visual composer plugin, whit the widgetized bar, it doesn’t turns smart and floating.
I followed all the steps in the documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/ and I don’t use any CDN in my web.
I checked deactivating all the plugins and erasing all custom lines of code.

Once enabled the sidebars will remain in view as you scroll down the page. Note that this settings should not be used if you have Adsense ads in the sidebars.
When checking my website on mobile, code will be visible. The first time, I removed a plugin and it was back to normal. The second time code showed up on mobile, I removed another plugin. The third time, I removed the smart sidebar and it was fine. It’s happened a third time and it looks like it’s associated with social counter which I have deactivated and removed.
Can you tell me how to permanently have mobile function without visible code? Thank you in advance.

Hello! I have successfully hidden the Instagram widget in the footer of the pages on mobile using the following code in the mobile section of the Advanced Custom CSS area, but when I do this, it’s also hiding the widget within the Smart Sidebar and default Sidebar on mobile.

I was able to successfully show the default Sidebar widget by adding a custom CSS class to the widget, but I can’t seem to find the area to do this within the Smart Sidebar.

If you have a plugin conflict affecting the theme js, the smart sidebars will not work anymore. For pages, make sure you add the extra class to the row containing the sidebar as described here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/
If the implementation is correct, please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

I have inspected your website and I saw that your smart sidebar is not working as expected for tables, sorry! Please make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme, installed via FTP way, switch the theme to the main theme if you are using the child theme, remove all of untested plugins if you are using something like this (I saw that you are using the Autoptimize which can break the theme, disable it), clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results.
