I’m using version 3.3.1 of the theme. visual composter in version 5.0.1
I removed all not used plugins. There are no warnings or conflicts or something like that.
It’s pretty strange, for another project your theme is working fine!
Hi,
It is a strange issue indeed based on what you are describing, and I do not know what could be interfering with the like button. Each post has a unique permalink created, but I do not know how this could affect the Facebook like and I can not replicate this issue. I still suspect the cache being responsible for this, or maybe a plugin, or custom code added to the theme files. But at last, glad you were able to solve this problem.
Thanks
Ok NOW I KNOW (thanks myself :))
VERY VERY STRANGE
It was all about my URL. I changed the place of words and it works. Very strange because even if the url exist, WordPress change it by adding a “2” at the end.
Do old url are stocked somewhere ? I don’t know but I m sure the url created doesn’t exist in Page or Article.
Link :
http://www.objectifs-fitness.com/programme-abdomiaux-musculation/
It didn’t work with :
http://www.objectifs-fitness.com/abdominaux-programme-musculation/
AND
http://www.objectifs-fitness.com/programme-musculation-abdominaux/
Anyone can explain something about it ? 🙂
I observed that when I publish the article, the FB button appear, then I click for a like and when I refresh the page, it disappear….
Very strange for me… help !
We recently moved to new servers with ssl (https). When the site loads, the thumbs/posts in the megamenu show fine when you hover over a menu item but if you hover over a sub catagory or try to load more on the main menu item, the loading animation appears then the megamenu closes and there are no posts/images displayed. This only happens if you are not logged in to the site. If you are logged in then all works as should. We have tried disabling all plugins except vc and the results are the same. I understand it could be a js error but it is strange that the error does not happen when signed in. Could it be related to our site using https. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hello WakeUpCallProject,
This is strange. Do you are using some untested plugins? If yes, try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. Clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check the results.
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
Please use this guide to make sure the theme uses the correct thumbs: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/

Hello,
Something strange happened, some gaps disappear in some parts of the text
Example: http://uploads.ru/orUvV.jpg
Hello,
There is no ideal image size as our theme will create thumbs for each images. The recommended image size is at least 800×600 px. It depends on the container you plan on using the image in. The image must be at least the size of the container it will show up in.
Please make sure you regenerate thumbs if you have not done it after switching themes: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
It is best to have images with the same approximate dimensions. Now you have both portrait as well as landscape images. For the overall style of your site , you should use image proportions close to each other.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please use this method to fix the icons: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
Thank you!
Good day team,
I have found or created an issue which I cannot figure out, after troubleshooting and searching the forum still no strong solution.
Have reason to believe this issue is also related to this one here – > https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/unwanted-border-and-alignment-of-tiles-in-front-page/
Yet to be resolved.
The problem is reproducible when using visual composer layout. I place Grid, Block or WordPress widgets.
At first glance, the problem looks to be something to do with row margin or padding. But after many attempts, cannot successfully get the Header to line up with Grid, Block, or have the layout appear properly.
This is the screenshot -> http://www.goproace.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/5.png
and here is the link to the site showing the issues – > http://www.goproace.com/gopro-news/
Thanks so much in advance
Hi,
Recently the logo has been looking strange on my website. The size of the logo itself is fine but it’s become a large blank space beneath it, making the header way too big and weird looking. When loading the page it seems like it sticks for about 1 second before jumping out of its position.
How can this be fixed? Thank you for your help. Here’s a link to the website.
Hello,
It seems the font is not getting loaded on your site. This issue is mostly a CDN issue as fonts need to be loaded from the same origin. For this please check this topic and apply the fix provided here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
Thank you!
Hello,
1) I’m not sure how your title is not centered. Here is how it displays on our end: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-lenovo-details-new-computers-that-could-be-heading-our-way-in-2015/
If you want to decrease the size of the container it can only be done with css. Here is an example:
.td-post-template-7 .td-post-header{
height: 415px!important;
}
Add the code in the theme panel-> custom css box.
2) The content width cannot be changed as all the theme elements depend on this fixed width. There is no solution I can provide in this regard
3) The only way of adding anything automatically for all posts at once is by altering the theme files and adding the widget shortcode with a ‘do_shortcode’ function on each post style you use: https://www.screencast.com/t/iyCusKK9yi
as an example: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/change-order-ads-on-post-template/
4) The same method as 3. There is no other way of adding content for all posts at once.
5) https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
6) Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
7) Please provide a swcreenshot of how you set the ajax filter in the back-end and make sure the spoecific category has posts to show.
Thank you!
Hi there,
Well, there must be a ghost in my theme.
As you can see here : https://www.screencast.com/t/cSR3cv81 I can’t select the paragraph and the alignment of the inline article adds anymore.
I was expecting to see the same as explained here : https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-article-ads/.
Strangely enough, I was able to set it last time I went to Theme panel / adds / article inline adds, and indeed the add still appears correctly on the articles (for exemple here : emprunter-malin.com/emprunt-immobilier-bas-salaires-plus-de-mal/).
Yet I want to change the orientation of the adds, but I don’t find the “paragraph choice” and “alignment choice” anymore.
Am I missing something ?
Thanks in advanced for your help.
Hello kr15k0,
The problem seems to be generated by CDN. You can find a solution here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/ Also, if the problem will not be solved with this advice, please try to find other online solutions in this regard because the origin of this issue can be more complex and depends on a lot of things and it is not theme related.
Thanks for your understanding!

Hello,
I see some strange symbol next to the article views?
How to remove it?
my website: dnesnovinite.com
Hi… so I bought the TagDiv Newspaper Theme some months ago… Today I noticed a very strange text on my homepage. And when I click in WordPress dashboard and go to “Pages”, the homepage page is gone. There are no pages listed under “Pages”.

I don’t know what happened. Is this some kind of code error, do I need to update my theme, or did somebody hacked my page? I haven’t published the page or given anybody access… so this is weird.
I googled and noticed that some other websites are affected by this, too.
Can somebody help me out?
Hi TagDiv,
I got very strange bug on a simple thing. If I try to load a new media (image file) to the library, “Select files” button doesn’t work at all and no folder is opened.
I can add new media only by dropping file to the library.
Please say how to fix it.
Hello!
I’ve seen that this issue has happened to many people, but I believe this is a different situation, since it only happens on the Newspaper theme. I’ve tried a default theme from WordPress and the images upload just fine.
I’ve just installed WordPress and the theme, so everything’s fresh and up to date. I care to mention that:
- The images are optimized – no large files or anything like that;
- The names of the images are written properly, without any strange characters in them;
- I’m not using WP Smush or EWWW Image Optimizer, which are known to cause this issue. I just have iThemes Security, BackWPup and Visual Composer at the moment, which I disabled and still got the issue;
- I’ve set the memory limit to 64MB, and even up to 96MB, but the issue still occurs;
- Everything in the theme’s System Status is green and properly set;
- I’ve switch to the parent theme from the child theme, but still no difference;
- Suhosin is not installed on the host.
Ran out of options here :D. Let me know if you need more info or the WordPress admin credentials to check the situation yourselves.
Thank you!
Best wishes,
Radu
Good day.
Kindly see chat below which I had with support at MAXCDN.
TO summarise:
“Hi Etienne, I’ve used CDN rewrite for CDN integration, however, when I initially configured the issue was still there
but, i tried to exclude all css files from it and it appears that it is working now
so it’s definitely some of the core theme css files that is conflicting with CDN URL’s (external URL’s)
I am not sure which one since this requires further debugging by testing every css file on your theme when CDN is enabled
if you don’t mind, you can contact your theme devloper about this
but note that CDN is still enabled and all other files including js and images are being served from the CDN”
Kind regards, Etienne
Original chat:
Etienne:
Good day.
We have updated our theme files: https://themeforest.net/item/newsmag-news-magazine-newspaper/9512331
We have updated here on our staging site. You can see the nav issues at the top as well as the padding issues in the body: http://staging.adworld.ie/
username:adwrld
passw:adwrld
Current live site to use for comparison. This is still running old theme files and works fine: http://www.adworld.ie/
We have determined that this issue only happens when we enable the CDN > MAXCDN option on the W3 total cache plugin. When we disable it it works fine. We have tried to enable it and clearing all caches to no avail.
So in short – W3 total cache with CDN enabled breaks our site with our new theme files – it was fine with the old files.
Have you come across an issue like this before?
Kind regards;
Etienne
Ivan:
Hi Etienne and thanks for reaching out. Are you by any chance using minify or some other sort of backend caching on your origin? From what I can see there are no errors on CDN files themselves, but the theme has some issues with its styles, so I would recommend disabling all caching/minify options in W3TC and leaving CDN option enabled only.
Let me know if this works for you.
Ivan
Etienne:
Hi – thank you – gonna try that now
Hi there – I had a look and already the minify option is disabled on W3TC. The tick box is not ticked. Very strange. The only option that makes the theme files work correctly is if I disable cdn. Would you perhaps want to have a look in my wp backend?
Ivan:
Sure, that would be great if you could provide me with access credentials
great – thanks
http://staging.adworld.ie/wp-admin
Ivan:
Do I have your permission to temporary disable W3TC and try with some other plugin instead?
it will be just for debugging purposes
Etienne:
hi – sure – no problem
I do have a backup of the files etc.
As long as it’s for debug – unfortunately we do require this plugin as you know
Thank you
Ivan:

Etienne:
Hi Ivan
Thank you kindly for your feedback – I will contact them with this new information.
That fixed it – but what is strange is that only the email icon was displaying this issue while social icons had hover change colour effect. Thanks
