Hello,
I am currently using Visual Composer for my blog (www.lavieduriz.com) and the classic mode option has disappeared wether I want to create/modify a page or an article. I only have my text and the code.
I uninstalled and installed the plugin provided with Newspaper but still, no effect. TD composer is also not activated.
Any idea about why I cannot access to it ?

Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!

Hi, I have a widget with an email subscription box, I’d like there to be a background color so it stands out more, I set the color and saved changes in the td composer css area, yet it is still just showing no background.

Hi guys, i’ve started a landing page, but i saw some errors.
First of all, sometimes even with stretch row, the row doesn’t cover all the display. The result is that the landin page is always boxed.
is there any way to solve?
For second, is it possibile to put animation in buttons just like in clickfunnels?
and, last but not least, is it possible to have (in next rel) the countdown for urgency purposes?

Just a suggestion : it could be great to have socials icons available as an extended shortcode in TD Composer.
Don’t want to use another plugin and adapt it to the style of my website.

Hello Chris,
Maybe your images are stuck in opacity 0. This usually happens on a js error caused by plugins or customization or other external optimization tools. Please disable all plugins except visual composer or TD Composer, clear cache and reset CDN files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functioning of the theme.

Hi guys, i’m facing two problems :
1 – The first one concerns how to minimize redirects from http to https. I’ve done everything with my host, my database, wordpress, plugins and cloudflare… but some redirects remains as you can see on this report :

It concerns image only, that I add in background with tagDiv composer… and I managed to remove 6 redirects, by removing and adding again the image. But as you can see here : https://www.screencast.com/t/Vw7XnufDh4nT ; there is still an image I’m fighting with. It is the background of the menu of the nature theme. How can I remove it (if possible), or how can I modify it to put it https (by modifying the code, I don’t want to add something in the htaccess if possible) ?
2 – My second question concerns the td-newsletter and recent GDPR things. Normally, we are supposed to add an opt-in option with the input form when the suscriber enters his email right ? But when i add the embed form (from mailer lite in my case), even if i add the opt in option when i’m creating the form on mailerlite’s website, nothing appears using the td-newsletter plugin. So as you can see on my website in the footer, i add the embed form with raw html, but it is not very convenient…

For such an old version you most likely used Visual composer. Please deactivate the tagDiv composer after you update, this will be activated automatically when the theme is updated or installed (since it’s introduction in 8.0).
When both are active there could be layout problems.
Also it is important to check the available resources in the system status panel

If you have code in the theme panel, or you use a child theme, deactivate them because the code could be outdated. After the update do not make any modifications to the theme files. Clear caching, clear CDN if used, clear your browser cache as well.

First of all, ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, the version of TD Composer, please enable GD Library and
mbstring
for PHP on the server and also, try to set up the below code in .htaccess!

Thank you for the response. I am already using the latest version 8.7.5 but with the TD composer plugin disabled due to issues mentioned in my earlier post.
As it’s the main production site and Live, I can’t let it unusable for testing. SO is there any way I can get the theme version 8.7.2 where everything was working fine for the site with the same hosting environment?

I suggest you make a new fresh install to another subdomain for testing via FTP way with the latest version of the theme, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. Notice that the TD Composer should work as expected, without any problems if the theme was correctly installed. Also, if the problem is still there, please provide some useful screenshots of the issue so I will be able to identify it because I cannot recreate it to my end.

hello! i’ve installed newspaper theme on my WordPress. It works fine but I can’t use td composer. When I try to edit with it the screen goes blank. I follow some steps I’ve read on the forum but there’s no charge at all. What can I do?

Also, for some reason, after I added those symlinks, the file wp-content/plugins/td-composer/includes/templates/td-multipurpose.php was overwritten with a different version that changed how references to the icons were made.
Why does Newspaper8 (and its plugins) modify its own code? That seems a bit suspect to me.
I created a child theme for some customizations as per your tutorial. I am noticing an issue with the td-composer “icon” element when editing a page. The icon menu on the left sidebar is full of blanks.
To recreate the issue:
* Set up a Newspaper-child theme and select it as the active theme. I’m using Newspaper 8.7.5, composer 2.3
* create a new page, editing in td composer
* drag the “icon” element into a row. this is the green icon element from td-multipurpose now embedded in composer.
* click the icon in the page to open the edit form on the left side. click the tiny icon on there to pull up the menu to choose a new icon. this is the menu which will have a bunch of empty place holders.
Diving into the browser debugger, I discover that the following resources are being requested directly from the child theme, which results in a 404 not found error:
/wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child/images/icons/newspaper.woff?15
/wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child/images/icons/newspaper.ttf?15
/wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child/images/icons/newspaper.svg?15#newspaper
/wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child/font-newspaper.css
The tutorial does not say we need to copy these over.
If I symlink the images directory and the css file to the originals in the parent theme directory, the td-composer icon element shows the icons in the menu when editing.
Is this the correct solution? Did I miss some setting in the child theme that controls this? Or is this a bug in the theme or td-composer?
You need to update your td-composer to the version that came with Newspaper 8.7.5, “2.3 | built on 23.05.2018 10:03”
