I’m not sure what you are saying – Do you mean the updates don’t wipe out changes?
I have backed up the site using updraft plus, and have not lost any changes that are there now – you say that for the “next update…..all of these will be overwritten by theme code” Why is the next update different?
And if I back up by FTP, and changes get wiped out, and I revert to the back-up version, won’t I loose the updates?
Not comfortable playing around with the backend – Is there an easier way?
When is the next update coming out?

Will be displayed in the post page and also thumbnails will be created from it on modules/blocks. Be sure to clear all caching and CDN files if used after a theme update, although updating the theme will not affect post meta saved in the database, like featured images.

Indeed there is a problem it seems with sub-menu items, visible only when the menu item is active. I will add this issue on our list and it will be fixed in the next theme update. In the meantime use a code like this to fix the problem

A global setting for fonts does not exist in the theme at the moment. It is planed to implement such a setting in future updates. Custom fonts can be uploaded in the theme panel, but they will have to be set manually for the elements you want

After updating the themes and plugins, I think about 5 days ago, I have not been able to get the theme panel to work. No tab of the theme panel works. They all lead to the theme panel landing page in the back end.
Also the mobile home page images are not loading… I just noticed this after the recent update.
Please how do I fix this?

First please check if the composer has been updated automatically after the theme update (it should be version 2.1) If not deactivate it and remove it then install it again from the theme plugins section

Also that message could be related to insufficient WP memory or limited max upload size

Ever since the last update, different photos are showing up on the thumbnails of posts and on my widgets. For example, I have a recipe post with the correct photo configured as the featured image, yet, when I view my site, the featured image is from another image file in my Media gallery.
Site is also now loading EXTREMELY SLOW with some images not loading completely. This did not occur until after I updated.

This row cannot be removed, but it is empty and will not create any issues. You can start and place elements on the page in it. For example a news ticker

I believe the problem you are having is caused by something else. There was an issue with the theme that was discovered after the 8.7.2 update, and it was quickly fixed and the theme package re-uploaded in a matter of a few hours. I would suggest that you re-download the theme package and install it. Then check the results.
The problem was that an empty paragraph appeared right below the content wrap here

Hi. Would you care to include an option for the newsletter to change the font style of the subscribe button in a future update? I enlarged the font for the other fields, but I want to enlarge the subscribe button font without having to result to css.
(I also noticed some people in this forum repeat the same questions over and over sometimes. I would suggest you pin a post with like a “Read before posting” headline where you tell posters to first use the search bar to look for similar topics related to their problem before posting to see if they can find solutions posted earlier).

I wish to retain the orange colour code #FFA500, however when you hover over an article on homepage or within a widget, it displays colour #fc7d46 which is what I do not want and am struggling to change it within settings.
Re the ad issue, prior to the update, I was able to move the sidebar widget lower to accommodate the ad using the css option within widgets, however as that setting is not available I am asking for assistance.

Starting 4 days ago, we started to have the same issue.
Logged in as admin, on our widget it shows: Instagram data error: Instagram data is not set, plese check the ID
Thankfully for visitors it doesn’t show this error. Only, a blank part.
Please advise what to do.
No updates, no code changes, no config changes have been made.
I’d suspect that instagram changed in a way its API and probably the theme needs an update.
