Thank you for your appreciation, please note that a new theme version was released (8.7.2) which contains many improvements, you can download the theme package and install it if you wish
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
The changelog can be seen in the theme presentation page
– https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
That setting for the category tag color will simply allow you to set a background color for the tag of the respective category, on post pages
– https://www.screencast.com/t/TgySWCuf33I
– https://www.screencast.com/t/pFdEXrFZ
While the other will hide the category tag of the respective category.
Thanks
The issue was quickly identified and fixed, the current theme package contains the fix for that problem. Simply re-install the theme and install it. Nothing will be lost, but as always make a full backup before just to be safe
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Hi,
So the issues happened at some point, before there was no problem. Maybe something has been done at that point which caused the problem. Either a plugin being installed, code entered in theme files or other modifications. Try deactivating all plugins, leave only theme plugins active, the theme and theme plugins should work properly.
You can also update to 8.7.2 the latest theme version. As always make a backup before. Download the theme package again and update
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Remember to update theme plugins as well, especially the composer (version 2.1)and multi-purpose plugin (version 2.0). That issue sounds like the the multi-purpose plugin is not active, that would be why those elements have disappeared.
Let us know the results, or if you have problems of any kind.
Thanks
Wow.. that was good idea.. I also agree to make Auto ads easy to add on themes.. Please add auto ads for future theme update. I currently very satisfied use Auto ads.
With the new update of Newspaper 8 it has slowed our sites load time to a crawl. 10-16 second load times. Once I deactivate theme to test on another site, its around 2-3 seconds. What gives? How do I correct this?
I have two licenses for newspaper. I have been using one of them on a website, that I am closing and want to use that newspaper license, that I will no longer be using, on a different website that I have. How do I do this?
Also do you happen to have an estimated date of when the upgrade to 8.7 will be fixed? Because right now I am getting 500 errors every time I try to update on my other site.
It simply happened. I don’t know what caused it, but also know how to upload themes, so…it just happened. Anyway, I managed to fix everything by deleting completely database and WP installation. After that, installed WP again, installed new updated theme and then backup uploaded without theme backup folder. After that all issues are fixed.
I also had the same problem with header style 12. The problem is due to a change in the line height of the search button it seems, and I could provide a solution with CSS if you share your site link. (I don’t work here btw, but I have a similar problem and tagdiv team promised to make the search button line height to adapt automatically when the header us changed in a future update. In the meantime, I had to align my search button properly in the header with CSS).
Hi, I installed the update however my amp pages are displaying the logo in the header area incorrect.
You can see the link http://www.expertmortgageadvisor.co.uk/commercial-finance/bridging-loan/amp/
Any other link with /amp on my domain makes the header logo appear on the left and doesn’t preserve the set dimensions.
I’ve deactivated plugins but it still does the same.
Perhaps this is due to the latest update of the theme

Help!!!
Thanks for the support Mokana. This update process is a shambles. Sloppy coding to have to do things is such a manner. Feels like stepping on eggshells and at any moment the theme system will break. Also, I’m not even updating. I’m just trying to install this damn theme that i’ve paid a lot for, and its costing me way more in time wasted. bahhh, *disgruntled customer.
Where or is there somewhere in the Theme options that you can add the DFP code so it doesn’t get overwritten with every update.
Thanks,
Hello,
I just updated to Newspaper 8.72 but this has caused some problems with my header.
I’m using header style 8, but for some reason, the update made the search box move away from where it should be – further left, and further down.
This made the total height of my header increase and it looks strange too.
Here is an image showing before the update and after;

In the meantime, I’ve had to turn ‘Search Position’ to hidden so that the header displays properly.
Please can you help?
Thanks!
“Good news everyone” says, Professor Farnsworth…Being a bit frustrated with my recent update experiences I decided I would go back to version 8.6, so I reuploaded the older version via FTP and the older version of TagDiv composer as well. The issues with the wp_booster errors continued to exist, so I figured I might as well have them with the newest version of the theme instead of an older one. I reuploaded 8.7.2 and TD Composer 2.1 and everything seems to be working OK.
I am still holding off upgrading on my other website until I am convinced everything works smoothly as it should
Cross your fingers…
Hello blk709,
Please update the theme again via FTP way to another sub-domain for testing, install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files, clear all the caches and check the results. If you are using some untested plugins, you should remove all of these and leave just to active only the plugins from the theme.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
That is an unusual issue, I don’t know how would updating a theme inside the wp-content folder cause the whole wp-content folder to disappear and also reconfigure the server. Ask your hosting provider if there were any issues with the server, check error logs.
You have to simply remove (or overwrite) the old theme and upload the new one

The AMP plugin is now version 1.1 update it and there should be no more issues. The latest theme version is 8.7.2 there were many fixes in this release. I believe you are using 8.7, if you do not have any theme related issues, you could update just the AMP plugin.
Hi,
with 8.7.2 update (plugin too) article inline ads on amps do not perform well.
ProblemS:
1) When there is a video as featured image, the number of parameters skips.
2) Inline ads overlap with bottom ads if there are few paragraphs
(in the mobile theme there is a function that avoids overlapping).
How to solve?
Thanks
Hi,
The latest theme package contains patch 8.7-8.7.2 not from 8.6 theme version. If you wan to update by patch from version 8.6, you would need first to apply patch 8.6-8.7 and then the patch from the latest theme package. Or try the other update methods, WordPress or FTP.
Update the plugins as well and there should be no problem anymore. Let us know if you have issues after updating.
Thanks
Hello all,
Ensure that the theme update should have been correct via FTP way, clear all the caches, remove all of the untested plugins if you are using something like this and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello frankcf,
Make sure that your update has been made via FTP way because this is the surest method, in this case, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. Ensure that your plugins are updated with the version that comes bundled with the theme core files.
Thanks for your understanding!
I have done the update to 8.7.2 via FTP, because envato own management system plugin does not work. After the update, everything seems to run as usual. However, the banner in the header area has now been reduced from 728×90 to 728×45. How can I change that again so that the banner size 728×90 is displayed again?
Hi,
You can update normally, there will not be any problem
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
By FTP would be the most recommended method. Remember as always to make a backup of the website before anything. Also update the theme plugins.
Note that in version 8 of the theme, the tagDiv composer was introduced. This composer will be activated by default when the theme is updated or installed. In order to use it all the pages have to be recreated with it. Or you can continue using Visual composer for the moment, and make the transition when you want, if you want. More about it here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Simply by being active the tagDiv composer could cause issues to pages built with Visual composer, containing Visual composer elements. So you could disable the tagDiv composer for the moment and there will be no problem.
Also a multi-purpose plugin was introduced, this adds many more elements and options to the tagDiv composer only
– https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0ARTSimnUY&t=287s
Visual composer (now WPBakery Page Builder) is still provided in the theme package and updates are included along with the theme

Thanks
Hi,
All the files that have been subject to changes after the latest update can be seen in the 8.7-8.7.2 changelog. There is no other changelog. All the modifications were made in those files and in the provided plugins (update all theme plugins).
There were improvements made to the AMP plugin as well, various issues were fixed. The plugin is now version 1.1.
Please let us know if you encounter anymore issues after updating to 8.7.2.
Thank you!
Hi,
That would mean the theme has not been installed or updated properly. These are some similar topics you can follow
