I followed the instructions with the Envato Market plugin, but when I click the “update available” text, nothing happens at all.
Any ideas?
I have a problems with the plugin td-multi-purpose ..\wp-content\plugins\td-multi-purpose\td_panel_settings.php line 22 , after upgrading to the version 8.5.1.
Is there a solution for this problem?

So I have the newspaper 7, and I just downloaded the 8.5 update and inside is a patch folder. Am I suppose to install the patch folder as a theme? Do I need to do anything with that?
Why isn’t the theme just updating like other themes?
Am I suppose to install the patch into a child theme?
Im like so confused. Im working on a testing server and want to use the child theme, and them push this to my live site. So I am not sure where the info for the patch details are located. If you have a link to the patch details page please share.

Please have a little more patience, there will be modifications to the theme social features in a coming theme update. I have added the Xing social on our list, we will try and implement this in the social networks section for the update.

Help! updated to Newspaper 8.5 but Tagdiv Composer seems not working.Can’t customize multipurpose shortcodes.

We can’t remove the customization because the search button has to keep his position on desktop.
Everything was working fine before the update. If you could give me a code to keep the search button in place on mobile I would apreciate.
If we have the infinite scrolling enabled from tagdiv then the archive pages are not paged “/page/2/” and it goes to the 404 for AMP pages for example http://parenting.firstcry.com/category/pregnancy/amp/page/2/.
but if we go via /?amp then the pagination works perfectly but then it would not update the canonicals so it would cause Major content mismatch error which will then be a validation issue.
So the option part would be to make it in a such way that it works with with clean permalinks. Requesting help on immediate basis.

Do you have updated all the plugins and use only of them which come bundled with the theme core files? Make sure that you have full update your theme via FTP way in order to achieve good results.

There is no option for that, this internal font is predefined in the theme

Also changes made to these files would have to be made after each theme update. Please use the methods above for the moment, we will try to add more options as soon as possible.

Thanks for the info. I have to disagree with you regarding the value of child themes, though. They are great for small, interim updates, but obviously are a challenge for major ones like 8.5. I’ll be working on this during the coming weekend. Fortunately, I wrote everything down on my customization so (at least in theory) after a couple of hours’ work, everything should be just peachy. Or not. 🙂
Hello, How to update social network in theme panel, I can not !!
Never mind – I overlooked the update to the td-multi-purpose plugin.
In 8.5 and 8.5.1 the Theme panel throws an error Class 'tds_api' not found when a child theme is in use.
I downloaded the latest version from Themeforest and updated everything via FTP.
Any guidance?

I was preparing a template site to show you. And then I was able to detect where the problem was.
I use this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-original-media-path/
To change the uploads folder of the images and save in a subdomain.
Everything was well set up and working normally until this update.
After I updated NewsPaper, “GENERAL MODAL IMAGE” stopped working, as I said before.
When I returned these settings to upload to the default WP folder (mysite.com/wp-content/uploads), this NewsPaper function returned to work.
Now, I would like to know the following:
How does “modal” work, using my previous upload settings (using a subdomain)?

I just updated the theme to last version but I’m having a lot of problems making it work properly:

In coming updates there will be some changes to the socials, more will be added. I could not say exactly when this will happen but it is currently on our implementation list.
For the moment the only solution would be using the methods presented above.

Thank you, but I am no programmer and I have no idea where to insert the target=”_blank”? That is, in the picture, you pointed at generally at a code and I don´t know where to place the target=”_blank” in that section.
Another thing, won´t this just change every time you update the theme? Could you maybe include this as a feature in your next update, as a tick box or something?

If you have custom code in your child theme, you really have to do that again. There is absolutely no update proof method of altering the theme files. Yes, you are not altering the original files through the child theme but think of it like this. After the update, the theme files change. The code is different, and you are still feeding the old code from a few versions back through the child theme. What do you think will happen? This is the main reason why I think child themes are stupid and a waste of time (my personal opinion)
