Hi,

There was an issue with the tagdiv analyzer that was removed from the theme files. You can install the update; if you want, you can try it on a staging website.

Thank you!

Do we get a feedback from the admins? I will not update the theme again with the chance of fucking up my server again and have to reinstall a backup. Also, if its working again, it would be appreciated, if the admins would give us a hint, why it happend.

Since I upgraded to this version, I see a hidden load error; something I didn’t see before:

Looks like it is part of the index page/template.
Might this be the cause of slight slowdown of loading my main page?

Hello Norbert!

I’ve tested it on the latest update of the theme and plugins, and I couldn’t replicate the issue. We would like to investigate this issue.
Please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the following:
– admin url and credentials
– a link to this topic in order to identify you

Thank you!

Hello,

I recommend that you update the theme manually https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ via FTP/cPanel/File Manager; also if possible, disable extra plugins during the theme update to avoid any problems that may arise and make sure that you have activated the tagDiv Standard pack plugin to keep the website’s look. You can try to update the theme on a staging website. For this version, there is no automatic option for updating.
After you update the theme, you need to update the theme plugins too.
In the worst cases, the settings in the theme panel may be lost (there have been isolated cases); in these cases, after the theme plugins that were previously used are activated, you will have to use a backup for the theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/

Thank you!

Hi,

Indeed, there is an issue with the latest version of the Safari browser, but if you use another browser, it should work without any issues.
Also, in the next update, the issue will be fixed.

Thank you!

Hi,

I see that your website is under construction, so I can’t check it. Can you please check when you edit the page and select the mobile viewport to see if the design is the same?
Also, Have you recently updated your plugins, theme, WordPress, php? Have you checked for a plugin conflict? Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones; also, if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache, and try again.

Thank you!

Hi,

whenever we try to update the new theme from dashboard, then it goes to 404 page not found in iframe.

We get error in top header after little scrolling. Looks like it appeared after latest update.
Site URL: regionmonitor.am

Error message:

Maybe this info helps: After the 12.6.4 update the Cloud library headers on some of my client websites were “broken”, just showing code. Tried all the tipps from the forums, nothing worked. By coincident I suddenly realized, the update for some strange reason deactivated the “tagDiv Cloud Library” plugin. Once reactivated, the headers were fine and back to normal!

I suddenly do have the same problem!! Not only did I need to solve all the new problems (again) coming up after updating Newspaper to 12.6.4 (every update kills something on all my Newspaper sites – 20 sites at this point, can you imagine the time involved fixing), but also now there is no more adding elements on Safari (Chrome and Firefox work). @tagDIV: Either the theme is hacked or your updates leave the sites broken. WE PLEASE NEED A SAFARI FIX asap!

Hi,

The settings in the theme panel may be lost (there have been isolated cases), in these cases, after the theme plugins that were previously used are activated, you will have to use a backup for the theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/ before the update
Also, maybe you need to update the child theme because there may be differences.

Thank you!

This morning we updated the theme to Newspaper 12.6.4
After the machine finished automatically updating the plugins, the screen asked to register the theme since it was “not registered” (yet it had already been registered in the past).
However, we tracked down the serial number and re-recorded the theme successfully.
Although everything “seemed” to be fine, the child theme appears completely devastated: post aside, it seems that all the sections have returned to default (even the image boxes have the original placeholder).
We deleted and reinstalled Composer, cleared the cache, switched between parent and child themes, disabled all the plugins and re-activated them one by one… but no results. Now we are trying to go back to a previous backup.
What is going on???

Hi there,

We use the weather header element to showcase the city weather but we are experiencing a caching issue where the temperature does not update. Is there any caching settings for this element that are editable?

Hi All,

How do we properly set up the Single Post Modified Date? It appears on every post, whereas it should only appear on those posts where we have made significant edits, warranting an “updated” line. For example, we posted an article today, and the modified date appears alongside today’s date, both showing the same date (even though we haven’t made any edits).

https://rareparenting.com/books-for-kids-featuring-wheelchairs

Edits or not, we need to control when the line item shows. Every post shouldn’t show a modified date. Please confirm if it’s possible to control it?

Thanks!

re-activate the td-composer plugin — just ran into the same thing with the v5 update last month 🙂

I did FTP upload of the td-composer plugin from the ‘all files’ zip download to make sure I had latest version with security fixes.

Hi @anamaria ,
When the problem happened I tried twice using “autoupdate” (ajax error installing the plugin Composer), then I tried downloading everything through “themeforest” and the “Composer” and “Cloud Library” plugins did not install, it showed an error.
I went back to the previous version.
The next day, I tried again using “autoupdate” and it worked.

Hi,

The theme is updated to the latest version already.

I can not really understand why the theme is not optimized from scratch. I have not done any customizations or added code that will make the theme slow. I took for granted the theme should be optimized as my other theme was…

@soaresrey and @Anamaria, I tested it. I just updated it – I tried again through the dashboard as usual, and it worked without any issues, without needing to deactivate or delete the tagdiv composer plugin first. So, since it worked, I didn’t need to install it via FTP, well, I’m grateful it wasn’t so troublesome, but thanks for the information, @soaresrey.

Hello!

Unfortunately, I have no ETA on when the next update will come again.
We will write all the new features and all the fixes in the changelog: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper/
