I recently bought this Newspaper theme…I am happy as of now but I have couple of questions:
1) I don’t want show tags on post details page, but it showing at bottom of post details on post details page. How to hide them, is there any option if not please provide CSS custom code, so that I can update it.
2) On the home page before getting into post detail page I would like to display Excerpt of 50 characters. where to set this?

Hi,
I noticed that Newspaper is maintained and updated much better by Tagdiv than Newsmag, which I had bought initially.
I bought Newspaper as well, as bugs/issues keep popping up with Newsmag.
Question 1: is there some table with comparison of features for both or can Tagdiv summarize the main differences?
Question 2: what is the easiest way to do the switch of the theme? Currently for Newsmag I have installed October version and am using Child as active theme.

Hi Im using the visual editor to design my website. When i make changes to the template using the backend, the changes are not reflected on the front end once im not logged in as an administrator. However I can view the changes made in the view mode or after I update the changes, only if im logged in.

Have you recently changed your site’s time/date? I have checked the mentioned post using google’s live structured testing data tool and found it retrieving the right date present on your post: https://developers.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/ – http://screencast.com/t/sahs2QWoi2j
If you did changed the date then you should give it some time to re-index and it should update.

The Visual Composer does not need activation.
-The theme includes a license for this plugin so you don’t have to buy it.
-You don’t have to activate the plugin license, it’s already activated.
-You can’t update Visual Composer directly from the it’s producer.
-You don’t have to worry about the plugin update warnings.
-We provide updates on a regular basis after we test the plugin for theme compatibility we include it in the latest theme update, inside the ../plugins folder

In a future update, it is possible but we cannot say for sure if it will get done in the next update because we have a big list of fixes, improvements, and suggestions to implement. It’s hard to filter them and select which one gets implemented now and which one gets postponed. The developers decide if it gets done or not, though.

This is a simple issue to resolve. Please update your mobile theme plugin and the error will go away. Download the latest theme package from envato and install the mobile theme plugin from there.

The plugin is not a live count and is affected by the cache. Facebook takes a bit of time before it updates.

I have updated to the latest October version, don’t know if the issue was in the older one too or if it is new.
The fact is it should not be there, it is a bug and should be fixed. Of course, if they don’t, I will probably order customization or if this kind of bugs/bad coding happen often will just look for another theme.
Chris, would you mind sharing a screenshot of menu for a category with no sub when inside that category? And which version do you have?
Hi, before the uptade it works propertly but after update the same image size as before ar not cropped on big grid slide (on the big image and the three smal on the right). It appear with a grey background because of the not.-cropping.

5.6.27 is the PHP version my website is currently running, updated a day or so ago.

In newspaper only inline content ad is mobile responsive. And the big limitation is we can have only one inline ad. There is no option provided by theme author to add more inline ads (after paragraph 3, 6, 8 etc). If you show the ads above and below content, the banner ads work fine in desktop view. But in mobile they take lot of extra space. Sometimes I get a big ad box in mobile if i place the banner ad above content.

the latest port sorting i can change it to “latest”which is fine but it sorts it by the date when the post was initially made.
how can i change the sorting so it shows the ” latest updated” posts?
if its not available via your theme are you able to advise of a plugin?

Ok, I have read just about everything on your thumbnail stuff. My site was great until i updated it recently and now anything I upload the images are pixelated. Why would this theme use thumbs that are smaller than the area they are set to cover? How do I correct? Should I change the dimensions in the td-config.php? Seems like there should be an easier way that is more permanent…
See http://www.ocalaonline.com and look for the red “christmas parade” post image… all of it’s thumbs are pixelated on the front page as well as on the post’s page:
It is updated when theme is updated. See the stick post top of forum on how to update info.
Next theme version expected in December, after WordPress 4.7 released. Which is typically when many theme vendors push an update to ensure compatibility.

The theme will be updated in December, after the new version of WordPress is released. Or as they have it done, not on any set schedule.
Your purchase included the version provided to you which works right now; it doesn’t include on demand updates the second VC is updated.
