firstly, thanks for the Newspaper theme, it’s awesome!

Secondly, it appears one of the recent updates has introduced some kind of bug — on some articles there is no gap between the second and third paragraphs. You can see this hereL

I have a developer that is making custom modifications to the theme. I’d like to get a qualified backup developer who can help maintaining theme updates since child theme support is not fully enabled.

Could you suggest a reputable and reliable developer who does contract work?

I’m wondering, do I have to purchase the theme again to get support/updates?

It would be better for us who already purchased the theme to get a lower rate since we already purchased it.

I definitely don’t think we should ask for FREE updates as this doesn’t help you all make things better and up to date, etc. I just think it should be a lower rate for updates.

Has anyone investigated how query strings in Newspaper and Cloudflare caching interact?

I currently have Newspaper and CloudFlare “Caching Level” set to “Standard” which means it does its best. My understanding is developers version files like this for cache busting purposes so when the theme is updated, browsers will see the new version in the query parameter and download the latest version. I’d much rather see the version number in the URL path, so each version is a different path, but presumably WordPress doesn’t support that.

GTMetrix and Pingdom both call out all these query strings might slow down proxy caches by keeping them from caching these files. Long story short, I’m wondering if that’s the case with CloudFlare and if anyone here has done anything to see if there’s a need to investigate further.

FWIW, I do not use Tagdiv’s speed booster plugin since it’s incompatible with several key core plugins.

In your list of changed files you have the updates from 6.6.2 to 6.6.4.

i have installed NewspaperVersion: 4.6 which is working fine but when i updated the version to NewspaperVersion: 6.6.3 manually (i.e copy and paste in the themes folder) then its not working properly it does not displaying headers properly and other contents also.
