Hi
When the theme it’s updated the old files are replaced by the new theme files are replaced by the new oneness and all customizations will be lost. You will have to re-add your customizations except for the custom css from theme panel.
Thanks!
hi, i updaetd to the latest version of your theme, and my site is down now
blog.djborhan.com
Greetings,
I am transitioning a website over to the (fantastic) Newspaper theme and I am having a problem setting up my custom styles for posts that I’ve set up for my website, such as a first paragraph <p class=”first-paragraph”> style.
The old plug-in I had been using to create custom styles is no longer being updated and is broken under the Newspaper theme so I have purchased WP Edit Pro.
This is working fine under the old theme I am replacing, but with Newspaper, the “Formats” drop-down menu in the visual editor just shows a blank menu item where “custom” menu item usually is.
It’s fine with the default WordPress themes too.
I’ve done the deactivate all plug-ins thing and still no luck.
Have you come across this before?
Thanks
P
Hey guys I was having the same problem until I saw this. The instructions in the block settings clearly say to use the tag slug. You should probably change that in the next update to say ‘tag ID’ instead.
With The Last Update Sticky Posts Are Gone… then i changed back to older version and sticky posts was back!
Hello – I just updated the theme and the default template on every post and page is the “page builder + latest article + pagination” and I want it to be “default template” for every page/post without having to do it manually. Can you help?
thanks!
@ykdm
did you download the latest theme update with the fix?
It’s not OK for you to blame TagDiv for not updating your theme sooner. They can’t update your site for you, only you can install theme updates.
I think they know it’s a huge issue, hence why they rushed out some fixes/solutions!
[ Version 6.6.4 ]
– fix: homepage pagination issue with wordpress 4.4.1
[ Version 6.6.3 ]
– new: visual composer was updated to the latest version 4.9
– new: revolution slider was updated to the latest version 5.1.5
– fix: modified structured data to comply with Google’s new requirements
Also note the sticky post at top of the support forum with more info?
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/wordpress-4-4-1-pagination-new-fix/
Also note several known bugs with WP 4.4.1 and there will be a 4.4.2 version very soon.
You would need to make your changes to the new files then upgrade, then make adjustments as needed post update. If using child theme, be sure to check the changelogs for files you would need to update again.
Note that WordPress 4.4 made some changes to tinyMCE behavior. Make sure any plugin you’re using like a forum, is updated to work with these new changes.

Hi there,
It seems since updating to the latest Jan 7th Newspaper theme that the social buttons at the top of my website appear differently when the website displays without the www. The dropdown arrows also display as small boxes. I’ve set the preferred domain within webmaster tools so cannot understand why it would do this. There’s also an error on the mobile version where they cannot click one of the featured homepage images or that post title.
I’ve flushed the cache, reuploaded the latest Newspaper theme update with no success and have no new plugins activated.
Could this be the latest 4.4.1 WordPress update?
Would really appreciate a quick fix for this.
Thanks,
Mark
Akpan Promise thanks.
I updated my theme.
Now i have 6.6.4 version.
So now will be working update in Theme panel after logging in wordpress yes?
Adding screen from the panel:
My server is weak?
What is the problem ?
It is a big problem?
SUHOSIN installed and WP_Debug is false…

I’ve been using WordPress for many years and I know that when you set URL in Settings > General like http://www.domain.com, it will automatically redirect none-www to http://www.domain.com as default.
However, after a few updates of Newspaper (I didn’t noticed when it have charged), my URL are not redirect anymore.
When you type none-www, it still load the page with none-www. When you type http://www.domain.com, it still load http://www.domain.com as normally.
This issue only happens to the homepage, not other page. I’ve tested with post URL and it always redirect to http://www.domain.com/post.html (when I typed domain.com/post.html).
So, it’s only happens with the homepage. I just want to ask that’s the problem of Newspaper or of new WordPress update? (4.4.1)?
Hi I have recently updated the theme to version 2.3.5 and visual composer to 4.9 that was included with the updated theme. However when I edit post with visual composer elements, the elements do not load up with any visual composer settings, i.e the ‘general’ tab is empty. for some elements like images, I can switch the tab from ‘general’ to ‘design options’ and will trigger the general section to show up. but it won’t work for all elements and won’t work for text blocks.

Hi,
I’m currently on v6.6.2 and would like to update to 6.6.4 however I’ve changed a number of files manually and not entirely sure everything I changed. Was wondering two things:
1) Is it possible to know which files I should update (plus plugins I should update if needed) – for each version or at least, the last two updates..
2) How would I create a child theme, assuming I can figure out the files I customized.. (perhaps by file modified date).
Thanks!
And finally I updated the theme as well from 6.6.2 to 6.6.4 and that still didn’t resolve the issues.
I would suggest disabling Jetpack.
Use this page to scrape new information for the posts till the issue is not resolved: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
If after deactivating Jetpack issue is not resolved, install P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler) and find out which plugin is taking the most time. Disable that plugin and check again.
This issue occurs when FB is not able to get information about the page in first 10 seconds. It will not update the information and new scrape has to be performed.
I’m struggling with the same issue. My site information is picked up only after first FB share click.

Hi Bogdan,
sorry for so many post,.
I updated the plugin Visual Bakery.
and now I can see the demo templates.
Actually, the front page changed after I registered Newspaper 6, pls see
The texts on the site’s front page are the same that now, strangely, appear in Visual Composer’s “Backend Editor” mode!
Note that I also updated Visual Editor as instructed.
I followed the instructions here to update (via FTP) the Newspaper theme from version 4 to 6:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Before that, I had updated WordPress to the latest version (4.4.1), together with most of the plugins. Everything had worked after that.
However, after I then updated the Newspaper theme, the site layout looks completely randomized. Please see the screenshot at
Activating and registering Newspaper 6 as instructed did not help, except that the warning message seen at the top of the screenshot disappeared.
