You had this happening because this has been updated in the latest theme version, please consider that I can’t guarantee it will also work in next or future updates and this is just a workaround as it hasn’t been designed to work this way so I advise you to turn to a developer to find another implementation for this it it happens again.

1. The post pagination used by the theme is classic(numeric) you can try to find a plugin for this or hire a freelancer to do this for you as it is not an easy task. Here you can find the post pagination – http://screencast.com/t/KSXb3EON9k

3. The Newsticker block was designed to be used like the other theme blocks, just display the articles titles from a specific categories(multiple or all). It doesn’t have an option to add a custom text, but I can tell you that this suggestion is in our list and we will try to implement this for Newsticker in a future update.
4. Please try to use this plugin for disqus Disqus Conditional Load and check this also only with Visual Composer and Disqus plugins active(disable all other plugins), clear cache and see if the comments area appears.

Always make a full backup of your current installation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and then do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ update also the plugins that come with the theme files from the /plugins folder. In the “how to update” guide is specified that you will have to run the script that will import from database your settings, will change the shortcodes. Unfortunately you will have to re-add your widgets in the sidebars as some of them may not be imported or don’t exist anymore, also they will become inactive.
Also that latest version is 6.4, so you can update to this version(we added more features in this version).

The latest version of the Visual Composer plugin (4.6.2) hasn’t been tested with your theme version so in your case it would be best to continue using the 4.4.4 version if it’s working or install version 4.3.5 which should be used with theme version 4.6.1 as this version of VC plugin was provided within theme’s /plugins folder: http://screencast.com/t/s86Lh7teEW

If you want to use the latest version of Visual Composer plugin then you need to update the theme to version 6 which has support for later versions of VC plugin and it’s also included within full theme’s package.

If you decide to update please follow this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ backup your current install, run the import settings script, update plugins and check the result. You can always get back to the previous working theme version if something goes wrong as long as you backup it but doing the update as instructed the theme should work fine.
You should also consider into the process at the following aspects:

– backup your current theme/WordPress/database: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
– setup a maintenance mode and you can use a plugin for that.
– empty all caches/purge files if you also use CDN host then disable any services of this type until you switch to the new theme
– disable all plugins
– install the theme then install the required plugins
– switch back the rest of the plugins and start other services

Unfortunately this is how the points review was designed with ratings from 1 to 10. I will add this on our suggestions list and if more users will request it, we will consider this in a future update.

Please make sure that you use the latest child theme version, it should be at least 6.3 version, from this version you can overwrite the modules, headers… please check documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/ If you need to update it, you can find it in the /code folder – https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/

I’m not really sure how you add the reviews. You have to add points from 1 to 10 – http://screencast.com/t/Zh8521xwOb Do you have this issue after the update? I guess that in version 4 if you set the point reviews the stars were not displayed, we have changed this a little bit, sorry!

Please note that in version 6 any customization(to the theme files, custom css) from old version will not work and you will have to re-add them as Newspaper 6 is practically a new theme.
