Also, A bug appeared, when you copy paste text from MS word to the wordpress editor the numbers before a dot “.” disappear if it is after a bold word.
For eg CPU 1.2 ghz comes as just 2 GHZ. when you paste in wordpress.
Or Camera 5.7 MP camera comes as just 7 MP camera when you copy paste from MS word.
Totally weird.
this could be a WP problem and not related to NEWSPAPER theme.

Heh. I don’t work here (TagDiv), but was in my home office Sunday working on our new ecom system, trying valiantly to meet Aug 1 deadline (and doubtful at this moment). Was waiting for FTP stuff to update, so poked my head into the forum here and thought I’d share my thought on that AdSense shenanigans.
I don’t spend much time here anymore, but I have been poking head in re new version of NewsMag which I’ve not had time to upgrade to, so unaware of any new bugaboos and whatnot, hence my comment on a “known devil” … that devil called AdSense 😉
I don’t think there is a “compare” chart between the two themes. Primary diff is the Newspaper is “wide” and the NewsMag is more “narrow” … menu is different, some of the headers are different, pre-built style sets are different, modules are different due to the more narrow width. So on and so forth. Some of the juicy goodness of Newsmag has percolated over to Newspaper v6.
Seems like some stuff needs tweaking, like lazy loading and couple of other things, but it’s been working great based on the “last” version around here. So, “I have faith” 🙂
before update, just one click to enter was enough to make new paragraph and make spaces between two, but after this I have to click two times to have that space between paragraphs.

As I said, the theme is very good, so I would add a couple of suggestions to see if it could be implemented and so this was better.
1) Allow the video block that can add a list of Youtube, so no need to put videos manually and can be automatically updated.
2) Allow in blocks plus choose catagorías for example, to select pages published. So you can put manually a list of 5 such pages that are always displayed.

You can display related article based by tags, http://screencast.com/t/fv6cGcxS0I3 but the theme doesn’t have an option to filter by latest, or add another section of related articles with another filter on it. To implement that feature requires custom work and for now we can’t provide it as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support.

This shouldn’t happen anymore, all memory issues with VC plugin were attended in both theme’s and VC plugin updates.
Not sure if older version work, the theme hasn’t been tested with older versions of the Visual Composer plugin so there could not work fine. You can make a request for it via email and we will send it to you.
Please also note that we will release a new theme update this week with the latest version of the Visual Composer plugin included so you can try ti and see if this still happens.

This happens because you use an old version of the social counter plugin and you need to update it so please make sure that you remove the plugins and install them from the /plugins folder from the newspaper-ft folder: http://screencast.com/t/S8v2yOivr and make sure you have version 3.0 of the social counter plugin.

1. Also make sure that you update wp files install and database also: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
2. Either way, but considering the theme wasn’t tested with previous versions of WordPress you should update WordPress then update the theme.
3. Many files have changes from forth version, this sixth version of the theme is practically a new theme. I suggest you note the changes, update the theme using the update guide and remove the files of the 4th version you now have installed then upload the new ones then make the changes again but note that it may be possible not to work anymore.
4. There are lost of improvements, as I stated it’s practically a new theme, with a new grid, new designs, new features, new modules, blocks and posts templates.
Use the FTP method form the update guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and follow the instructions carefully and updating it right shouldn’t cause you any issues, backup your current install, run the import settings script, update plugins and check the result.
You should also consider into the process at the following aspects:
– backup your current theme/WordPress/database: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
– setup a maintenance mode and you can use a plugin for that.
– empty all caches/purge files if you also use CDN host then disable any services of this type until you switch to the new theme
– disable all plugins
– install the theme then install the required plugins
– switch back the rest of the plugins and start other services

I guess it shouldn’t, but it did. I didn’t get the revisions option in “Show on screen”, I didn’t get the Revisions section at the bottom of posts screens, and I didn’t get revisions counting and link in the Publish section. Nothing, like if it didn’t exist.
However, I’ve just tried to modify a post again, and suddenly, after clicking on update, revisions feature appeared where they should be, with the proper modifications counting (4). This looks like a WP bug.

Hello, I created several pages on theme. One is the home, while the rest are single page with defined themes. The problem is that I’m using WP Super Cache and when I publish something, the pages are not updated, or the principal or the other.
For example, published an article about comics, and this does not feature on the homepage or in the comics section or in the comics category.

I am looking to update my theme from 4.6.1 to 6.3. I currently have WordPress Version 4.1.6 running and also wanted to update that but wanted to update the theme first. I have a few questions:
1. I have backed up all of the theme files currently on the FTP. If anything goes wrong, I can just restore those, right?
2. Should I update the theme before updating WordPress or the other way around?
3. I have primarily made changes to the theme in the Child. Theme files I have modified (because you couldn’t modify them in the child) are below:
Newspaper\js\td_site.js
Newspaper\js\full_compact\site.js
Newspaper\includes\shorcodes\td_authors.php
Newspaper\single_template_2.php
Newspaper\single_template_3.php
Newspaper\single_template_4.php
Newspaper\single_template_5.php
Will I have any issues with the new version having made changes to these files? Are any of these files changed from version 4.6.1 to 6.3?
4. Finally, can you summarize what the MAJOR changes from the two versions are? Thank you.
