We only recommend using W3 Totals cache with just page cache enabled: https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-speed-guide/ (fifth section).
You can find it in W3 Cache under ‘Page Cache’. Tick the box called ‘Preload the post cache upon publish events’. search for similar options within your plugin and set it to update cache if the post content is changed.

After update theme from v4 to v6.1 i had problems with all of the pictures but by using regen. thumbnail, picture’s problem only on homepage was solved. But now I have problem with featured image size. Also in post tamplate 8 featured images are fullscreen but images position are not on middle.
Would any one help?

I’m sorry that you had those issues in version 6 of the theme. Newspaper 6 should be regarded as a new theme, it was practically rewritten so all customizations(files, css) from version 4 will not work and you will have to make these modifications again. We made a script that if you run it after update it will import from database olde settings, the shortcodes.. like you can see in the documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ Unfortunately you will have to re-add your widgets in the sidebars as some of them may not be imported or don’t exist anymore, also they will become inactive.
I’m not sure what was the issue with Big Slider, as you can see on our demo Big Grid Slider(like on Newspaper4) is still available – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-slide/ also we added more Big Grid blocks(these are not sliders).

We know about this this error (it comes from Visual Composer), we have also opened a ticket at the plugin support and we hope to be fixed in the next update. It will not affect your sidebar setting in frontend.

I followed the instructions to update to version 6 too. The problem is, that it is not really an update, it is installing another, supposedly better version by overwriting the new version. A lot of settings (such as menus and sidebars) did not migrate, which has to be adjusted manually. I was not able to configure the big slide header the way I had it on the previous so I decided to go back to v4.
I would consider upgrading again to v6 when it is really an update and I can choose which features I want changed on my blog or not.

Note that if you’re using Google News, they will update the “how long ago” based on when the story updated, not when first published. No way to control that.
Hey guys. I’ve recently updated to version 6.2 and I’m having a problem with a certain type of pages.
If I use Visual Composer to add things, comments no longer load on pages – even if they load as usual if I don’t and I stick to usual Worpress stuff.
Is there a way to resolve this? I really need tabs and a lot of other stuff in my comments enabled pages. I skimmed through the code on page-pagebuilder-title.php but I couldn’t find a way to do it on my own.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience and all the trouble unfortunately because the recent update has been redesigned so because theme’s grid has been changed and with it the whole css, there were lots of new elements and we had to take this decision. Sorry for this.
The wpml plugin wasn’t tested with the theme and the theme doesn’t have any built in support for it so using it unfortunately could need additional customization, anyways I’m glad to hear you’ve managed to solve them.
Looking at your site I’ve noticed some shortcodes not being recognized by VC and this could happen if the importing script hasn’t worked fine: http://screencast.com/t/03OoauPYWGP and the shortcodes that now appear there are different from the ones used now: http://screencast.com/t/hK74HaET If the script isn’t working you could have to recreate the page and remove the old shortcodes and use the new ones.

The Visual Composer plugin had some issues lately, they only appeared on some configurations. Check if you have the latest version of the theme (v.6.2.1) and the latest version of Visual Composer (v.4.5.3 ). If you don’t please update and see if the issue is still there. Yes we fixed the SEO problem in version 6.2.1, unfortunately we forgot to change the version of the theme, so you will have to download the latest version from themeforest and update using ftp method – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ Also if you don’t want to update for the moment, here you can find a quick fix – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/urgent-title-changues-newspaper-6-2-bug/#post-57451
When you update your theme, you will lose all custom modifications to the theme files, you will not lose any theme settings/option/colors/custom css from Theme Panel.

Thanks for you reply, I’ve finally worked it out and got the previous layout back this morning, a breath of relief at last, lol!
So I do apologise for my previous rantings, but it was very frustrating.
Now, as to the shopping cart, I decided to use something else instead, one further thing, I can’t find how to show the post views on pages like I was doing on Version 5 in blocks.

Should I open a ticket about this or is there an update you need to do?
I also cannot find the enable or disable feature on Version 6.

I’ve been glad to see that with v6.2.1 the title problem when using Yoast SEO is fixed. Nevertheless the problem still happens with existing and new written articles: There is no separator between post title and site name in the title.
Questions:
1) Any hints that the title problem is still ongoing or is it just me and my website?
2) How can I find out which version I actually use? The “System status” information says just “6.2”.
3) Can I do kind of manual update to the absolutely newest version without losing any preferences, styles etc.?

I got a bug after I applied a child theme on Newspaper 6. The only things I did change on the child theme was the addition of ads above the header.
After that, whenever there is the possibility of writing something with the RTE, the html editor is always on by default. I would like to put things back as they were, so I created a topic here:

Is there any other easier way to solve this issue? Perhaps a good suggestion for a future update is to have this setting available for manual overriding on the theme panel?

I noticed that you use an old version of Newspaper 3.3 so you may have issues like that. I suggest to update to the latest version 6.2.1 and also the plugins that come with the theme files as we cannot help you with that old version of theme and also the theme plugins. For example if the facebook change the api we also will do the necessarily modifications for Social Counter in the new plugin version so it will work fine. I’m having a slight problem with one of my sites that runs the newsmag theme
When I try to view the site on my iphone4s in safari browser the site loads but as soon as you try to scroll down the site constantly reloads with the error
A problem occurred with this webpage so it was reloaded.
I’ve had a search through the forum but can’t find any other questions on this subject. I do have 2 other sites running this theme and they both run the exact same settings/plugins and they work fine.
The only difference between the sites that work and the one that keeps reloading is the site with the problem is made up entirely of videos from Youtube, not sure if this is what’s causing the problem but it does seem possible.
